a selective read more link
2007-11-16 09:51:00
good day everyone,if you are writing very lengthy posts, it would be beneficial to create a summary and add a read more link. if your readers click the link, the full length post will be displayed. the effect of creating a read more link is it makes your blog more "neat". blogger help has a guide on how to create, but it will display the link even on short articles that doesn't need to have one. this site, hackosphere has a code to do a selective display of the read more link. its really working as i expected. cheers!enjoy and GOD bless.

widgetbucks
2007-11-15 10:15:00
hi,got a blog? need to monetize it? let's admit some adverts are just simply crappy. the ability of adverts to catch visitor's attention is dependent on the adverts design. if you are looking for very dynamic adverts, sign up at widgetbucks. their widget is highly customizable with lots of colors and sizes to match your site. it is a pay per click widget, and their offer is $3-$6 cpm which is higher than others. with an attractive ad, widgetbucks offer good income to members. another good thing is they have a sign-up bonus of $25.00. and they have low payout amount, mine is only $50.00. you can also earn through their referral. they provide good banners of different sizes as marketing tool. try it, sign-up is free!thank you and God bless.

2007-11-13 09:23:00
good day people,if you are a new blogger, your main problem is how to attract visitors. there are lots of ways of driving traffic to your blog. but most may cost you or just consume a lot of your time. a new concept was introduced by blogrush. its free and most important, its easy.all you need to do is, create an account and add a widget in your blog. a widget is a piece of code that does something. for this one, it displays post titles from other blogs. the widget itself is fast loading and attractive. blogrush is designed to be viral. each blogrush member earns rights to have their titles published inside a widget. the rights is earn via "credits". the more page impressions you have, the higher the credits and the chances of publishing your titles in the widgets of related blogs. credits

every moment is a blessing
2007-11-12 09:21:00
"the boarding house where i used to stay is about 50 meters from the main road. six days a week i'll walk the same path. many times, while walking back from work, i'll get caught in a downpour. tired, hungry and soaked, i'll look up at the gloomy sky and with disdain in my voice i'll say, "you hated me so much". why would it rain at that very moment? why not some other time? perhaps when i'm already at the boarding house. when it rains and i get wet, it's as a bad moment. it's funny how i strictly classified life's every moment into bad and good ones as if it is like garbage segregated into "nabubulok at hindi nabubulok". it is equally funny how meekly i rejoice for every big gains and how deeply i grieve for every puny losses. wouldn't it be best, if instead of looking at every momen

technorati
2007-11-09 09:38:00
hi everyone,i've been blogging since september this year, but its only this week that i got hold of technorati. its a very cool site, offering a lot of services to bloggers. technorati's aim is to monitor and organize the ever changing user-generated contents of blogs. according to their site, there's around 1.6 million posts made per day, coming from all over the world with just about any topic. now that's what i call global information!i've explored their widgets and mind you i already used some. i fancy the most their tag cloud. a tag cloud displays all tags or labels present in your blog in no particular order. comparatively, tag clouds are more attractive compared to labels though they have similar function. with their widget, you can add tags clouds without sweat.another useful servi

squidoo
2007-11-06 08:55:00
hi everybody, the first problem that a new blogger has to tackle is, how to increase traffic. there are lots of ways to achieve this, but most are expensive or just time consuming. i've tried a lot of these already and i'm not that happy. today, i stumbled on one that can really work.squidoo provides its users to create a single web page they call a "lens". a lens is similar to a blog as its about a person's view on a topic. however, squidoo offers more. it has modules like flickr photos, your ebay auctions, amazon books or music, and others which you can configure and add to your lens. one good advantage of squidoo is, the len's topics have high google search ranking. with this feature, you can use it as a rally point to direct to your blog or referral links. here's how.- create an account

new look
2007-11-05 09:57:00
good day people,my blog just got a new look. after 3 weeks of thorough searching i've finally found a template that suited my blog, courtesy of nurudin jauhari. i made some changes to the original template like the background color and removing the images. the new design is a lot more clean and fresher. the green color also symbolizes money. it has three columns, providing me more freedom to organize my links. hope you like it.i downloaded this from free templates. i'll be writing about different sites that provide free good looking blogger templates in my future post. see you.God bless you all.

the software development cycle
2007-11-02 09:28:00
hi people, got this from the net and i had a good laugh:1. programmer produces code he believes is bug-free.2. product is tested. 20 bugs are found.3. programmer fixes 10 of the bugs and explains to the testing department that the other 10 aren't really bugs.4. testing department finds that five of the fixes didn't work and discovers 15 new bugs.5. repeat three times steps 3 and 4.6. due to marketing pressure and an extremely premature product announcement based on overly-optimistic programming schedule, the product is released.7. users find 137 new bugs.8. original programmer, having cashed his royalty check, is nowhere to be found.9. newly-assembled programming team fixes almost all of the 137 bugs, but introduce 456 new ones.10. original programmer sends underpaid testing department a po

time is money
2007-10-25 04:02:00
hi everyone,if you have opened a savings bank account and have ample deposit, you can transfer your money to a time deposit. time deposit offers a higher interest rate than regular savings account, however the opening balance is also high. time deposits require you to deposit your money for a certain duration normally not less than 30 days and for some for as long as 5 years. during this period you're not supposed to withdraw your money. i suggest you to go for time deposit if it is spare cash. some banks offer 10,000 pesos initial deposit and offer as high as 2.0% interest rate per year for a 30 day period. the longer the time, the higher the interest rate. the interest rate also increases with the amount of deposit. there is nothing to be afraid with time deposits. in case you need to wi

stocks attempt, flunked
2007-10-19 11:56:00
hi people,in 1999, the economy was very bullish and i was very optimistic that i can earn by investing in the stock market. on july that year, i approached one of the stockbrokers in iloilo and based on the advise they had given me, i purchased 6,000 shares of belle corp. this company is a high-end property developer specializing in golf courses, country clubs and residential properties. it has also investments in communications and gaming-related activities. here's the breakdown of my investment in pesos:shares - 24,000.00commission - 264.00pdci fees - 2.20other charges - 45.00however, i was very unlucky as my investment was mired by corruption. big government offices such as sss and gsis also purchased shares. i'm not going into the details, but by december 29, 2000, the value per share

the insurance guarantee
2007-10-10 10:04:00
hi people, when i got home from abroad, my first investment is an insurance policy. comparatively, i consider insurance better than time deposits. because in insurance your payment is staggered instead of a one time deposit. with your staggered payments, you are guarantee d the full benefit of your insurance plan. the returns over all is much higher.the concept behind insurance is that the insured, pays periodic premiums to the insurance company. in return, in the event something happens to the insured, the company will pay the agreed benefit to the beneficiary. the agreement between insured and the insurance company is known as insurance policy. there are several types of insurance, life, accident, health, property, etc. i took life insurance. life insurance pays the beneficiary in case of

business in agriculture
2007-10-01 10:52:00
good day everyone, lets go to business. despite the progress made in technology, philippines is still very much an agriculture based economy. a large share of labor is still tilling the lands. however, a trend is occurring for years where a number of land owners are offering their lands as "collateral" to borrow money. they will use the money maybe for sending their children to college or abroad. normally, they lease their land to individuals instead of banks, in order to avoid high interest rates. this trend is an opportunity for low risk investment.in hiligaynon we call this "prenda". in this arrangement, you lend the owner a certain amount of money in exchange for the exclusive use of his land for an open period of time. what you will earn will come from the produce of the land. this arr

filling the piggy
2007-09-23 03:59:00
good day people, most of you work hard for 8 hours each day, 6 days a week. but by the end of the month you find yourself without any savings. you may shrug this off as a normal, when actually it's a big problem that will beset you for the rest of your life. this is the issue of spending or rather the issue of saving money. the main objective of this site which is earnings, is practically useless without understanding the basics of saving. for us born poor and want to live a good and honest life, the first if not the only source of income is our job. in 2001, i was hired as junior lecturer in one of the computer institutes in iloilo. i was taking home a net of 6,000 pesos every month. in order to save, i itemized and categorized my expenses and determined whether each is fixed or variable.

the beginnings
2007-09-14 11:17:00
good day everyone, first, let me tell you how i started. i was born a virgo. since i was in elementary i already dreamed of having a house. its a two bedroom house. i was born to a poor family. my father is a driver, my mother a housecook. both didn't finish high school. the combined earnings could barely support the family of five siblings. at that time, i'm not even daunted.to realize my dream, i started to think of how to earn money. our neighbor used to have a small piggery that could support 2-3 pigs. i accepted the job of feeding the pigs. i'll be collecting pig food or in our dialect "damug" and feeding the pigs twice a day. after the pigs are sold, our neighbor will give me a certain amount for my labor. if you think its small money, you're wrong. i did these routines up to my colle

the purpose
2007-09-11 09:08:00
hi,i'm ric, for privacy reasons let me keep my last name. i'm male, single, middle thirties and a resident of iloilo, philippines. a blog is supposed to be a medium for self expression. i intend to use this blog to share with you my personal ways of earning money. don't get me wrong, it's not that i'm rich, but i'm financially independent. why share?it buffles me that a country rich in natural resources has a high poverty rate. in my observation, majority of poor people are not aware of the myriad ways of earning money. most people may associate earnings with big investments. that is, in order to earn you must have a big amount of cash which you invest in say a business or stock. well, this is not true. you don't have to be rich to be richer. you don't have to be a genius either.what i'll
