MOVE-D
1970-01-01 00:59:59
I'm in my new place!Man, the move was tough...actually, it was the packing that got me, and my wife. To tell you the truth, we still have stuff over at the old place. There was just not enough time to pack everything by 10am this morning. We may have to pack and transport, on our own, small packages, over. But on the whole, everyone's happy. Truly, the fruition of 3 1/2 weeks of frustration, tiredness, arguments, anxiety, etc...

Almost Done...
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Stepped into the house last night at around midnight. Have been tieing up loose ends for the renovation. It has been very very hectic the last week...Even the kids have been grossly neglected (Well, at least, they had a chance to watch more cartoons and play more under the care of my mom & aunty). The movers will come over on Thursday morning, and I hope to be set up on that day itself, notwithstanding any hiccups from my Internet Service Provider.

I'm Back!
1970-01-01 00:59:59
10:32pm Taking a "break" from the unpacking & sorting. Will have a quick look at the market tonight - Hmm...missed the Minor PPF just before the market opened. Let's see if we get a PRIME PPF on the Trading chart, since the TREND chart has started to turn down.10:34pm PRIME PPF approaching.10:37pm Nope. Didn't make it to PRIME.10:43pm LONG 1441.00 / STOP 1440.00 - counter trend trade10:46pm Moving STOP to 1440.2510:48pm STOPPED / -0.75pts10:55pm PRIME PPF on the Trading chart, & with the TREND chart still pointing down. Looking for PF to go SHORT.11:00pm SHORT 1442.25 / STOP 1443.25 - This SHORT MUST take out 1439.75. If it doesn't, get out.11:02pm Moving STOP to 1442.7511:06pm Moving STOP to B.E.11:09pm Out at 1441.25 / +1.00pt - Possible PF coming and TREND chart also turning up.11:16pm If this uptick fails to take out 1443.00, I will be looking for SHORTs again (TREND chart fail to turn up - still pointing down)11:19pm SHORT 1441.25 / STOP 1442.25 - This SHORT has to take out

Bull Trend Continues
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. We came really closed to reversing the Bull Trend. The night before saw PRICE printing a higher PRIME Support low & a higher PRIME Resistance high. Yesterday, that higher low (1394.00) was threatened as PRICE went to a PRIME low of 1395.50. That was really close. Now, the new PRIME Support on the TREND chart is 1395.50 & the new PRIME Resistance is 1408.50. Again, in order for the Bull Trend to continue, we must make a higher high, and a higher low, using the 2 points mentioned as reference.10:34pm If I see a PPF here on the Trading chart, I will go SHORT -Cos I already missed the PRIME PPF at 1406.50 during Globex Trading Hours.10:38pm SHORT 1403.50 / STOP 1404.5010:41pm Moving STOP to B.E.10:46pm Stopped at B.E. Moved my STOP too soon. Should also have moved STOP to 1404.75 - 0.25 above last oscillation high.10:48pm Consolidation.11:01pm My, my...would have been a great SHORT. Sometimes, I tend to move my STOP too soon.11:25pm Leg 1 of Bull Break i

Prices Heading Back Up?
1970-01-01 00:59:59
10:39pm Was about to post some pre-market comments earlier, but was unable to do so...Had to shut down my PC, to allow my nephew to hook up to my router. Tried to do so without shutting down, but to no avail. Now, I have to wait for my charts to power up, before commenting. But my initial take was to wait for a pull back, to go LONG - Let's see...11:05pm Okay...charts are up. Hmmm...the pull back did take place, and we are up.Looking for another oscillation challenge of Support to go LONG. Reason? - TREND chart still pointing up, and Trading chart has witnessed a Minor PPF - Minor confirmation of a PRICE low. 11:21pm No PFs yet, to go LONG, on this Oscillation challenge of Support.11:34pm No PFs, and now we are approaching PRIME on the Trading chart. Problem with this pullback is that the TREND chart is also trying to turn down. If a Minor PPF of Resistance happens on the Trading chart, we will go SHORT.11:44pm That Minor PPF was almost non-existence! Let's just see if we get another

ES Continues its Bull Trend
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. I'm able to squeeze in some comments before I head out of the house again. The "renovation schedule" today is lighter, so I may have some time later in the afternoon, to reply to some of the unanswered emails. The markets continued its Bear Break with a PRIME Higher Low (Leg 2 of a Bear Break) last night at 1416.25 - In order for Leg 3 to materialise, 1432.00 has to be taken out, in next week's sessions. Only problem here is that last night's session high of 1427.75, have in fact given us a PRIME PPF on the TREND Chart, and the at the same time, a PRIME PPF has also taken place on the Trading Chart at 1425.50 - We have effectively made a PRIME Lower High, on the Trading Chart, and if we fail to clear this first Resistance of 1425.50, then we are likely going down to challenge 1416.25 - thus possibly reversing the Bear Break.

Renovation Intensifies
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Just stepped into the house...Have been out since 9am. Haven't had a chance to be in front of the PC.To Roy & Jeff, if you are reading my posts, this is to say sorry that I have not had any time to reply to your latest email to me...will try to find some time over the weekend to do so. As to the renovation update...it is actually near completion, and we should have the main contractor in by next Tuesday to wash up the whole place. Moving day is tentatively set for next Thursday. So, trading, for me, will be in limbo again for the rest of next week...Will try to post some views on the market over the weekend, if time permits. G'nite all...

Bull Break Invalidated ?
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. Sorry for the late update. Brought the family out early for the Official Opening of IKEA's Tampines Store. Was there at 8am and the place was already packed with people! A REALLY big place, if you compared it with the Alexandra Road Store. But after visiting the Tampines Store, you just have this feeling that there's nothing really new about the product range. Just more space for customers to shop, that's all.Last night's up move was very much in line with Leg 2 of the Bull Break . But, we may see this Bull Break invalidated, as there were two consolidating moves, on the TREND chart near the market close. We had 2 PRIME PPFs, followed by a B-PPF of Resistance - to be confirmed by PRICE movement tonight. High chance that we will continue in the direction of the Bull TREND, as long as 1394.00 stays intact, on the TREND chart.10:34pm TREND chart has turned down. Looking for Minor PPF (Or PRIME PPF would be nice...) on the Trading chart to go SHORT.10:38p

Leg 2 of Bull Break?
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. I will be heading out of the house early this morning, so will not have enough time to fire up my charts to do the review. But based on the closing PRICE on the ES, it sure looks like there was a big pull back from the early session drop. This could possibly be Leg 2 of the Bull Break . Will only be able to up-date the blog very late in the night, or tomorrow. Until then, have a great weekend!10:45pm Just got back from a long, long day of sweating it out in a squash court...Had a look at the charts, and found that my assumption this morning was wrong! What happened last night was ALL 3 Legs of the Bull Break! But the closing price(1400.25) is very near the end of Leg 2 of the Bull Break (1401.50). So, we'll have to see if we create a lower high, OR a higher high (to give us Leg 1 of the Bear Break.

On Hold
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Will be taking a back seat for the next few days or so...The renovations for my new place are entering the final stages, and I will be heavily involved. I thank GOD that HE has provided the people who have offered their help for plastering of the walls, painting, plumbing and electrical works & other material costs. Imagine this: I am only paying the labour and material costs for all the above mentioned work. NO MIDDLEMEN FEES at all! We are running a very tight budget, so much so that we have incurred a deficit in the overall renovation cost (Mind you, our budget at the start was not very big, and is still very much the same). No matter what, HE has provided a way! Surely, GOD is good!

So Far, So Good...
1970-01-01 00:59:59
My renovation, that is...Haven't had any decent amount of time to look at, or even review the market's action. I have been in and out of the house, settling things, here & there. In the meantime, my posts will be in limbo.

Price Still Heading Down to Challenge PRIME Support of 1423.25 on the TREND Chart
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Pre-Market Observation. It looks like PRICE is still heading down. No signs of a Minor PPF, to give us a Minor Confirmation of a bottom. Let's see what the regular session has to offer.10:39pm No trades taken. Still watching.10:51pm Okay. We may be seeing a Minor Confirmation of a bottom here. Wait for a Minor PPF of Support to go LONG. TREND Chart has also turned up.11:05pm LONG 1430.00 / STOP 1429.25 - Minor PPF of Support, with PFs, and with TREND Chart pointing up. This LONG has to clear 1431.2511:08pm Moving STOP to 1429.5011:10pm Out at 1430.25 / +0.25pts. Minor PPF of Resistance, with PF.11:12pm Hmmm...a good "fake-out". In any case, let's see if I can get another LONG entry.11:14pm LONG 1431.50 / STOP 1430.5011:16pm Out 1432.75 / +1.25pts11:17pm We now need a PRIME PPF of Support, on the Trading Chart, to give us the PRIME Confirmation of the bottom. Back Door Bull Break Still A Possibility
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. The back door bull break that I mentioned last night before logging off did not happen. We made an Oscillation Higher Low at 1429.25 at 01:20am. & then an Oscillation Higher High at 1440.50 at 04:13am. Until & when 1445.00 is taken out, we cannot rule out the possibility of the Back Door Bull Break .If we fail at Resistance here, and start heading down to take out 1426.00 instead, then Leg 1 of the Back Door Bull Break would take place.10:50pm Possible Minor PPF setting up here. Will go SHORT with a PF - TREND chart pointing down.11:04pm Looks like PRICE isn't failing & TREND chart has just turned up.11:05pm Another PRIME Match of Resistance, on the Trading Chart - Signs of weakness in penetrating the Resistance.11:23pm Market is flatlined at the moment.11:37pm SHORT 1438.50 / STOP 1440.50 - This STOP is special today. 2 Pts away.11:40pm Be right back...have some business to attend to, in the ahem...Men's room.11:49pm Ok...I'm back. Some Minor cons

ES Climbs Higher
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. PRICE continued to climb higher, after the PRIME PPF I mentioned last night. With the TREND Chart pointing down, coupled with a PRIME PPF, the only thing getting me out of the SHORT would be the failure to break through the last Oscillation Support low of 1432.25.I have to remind myself sometimes that PRICE will ultimately tell us where the market is heading. Indicators are always lagging.Leg 2 of the Back-Door Bull Break is still very much intact. Again, key level to pull us back into a Bull Trend is 1440.50 - PRICE must breach this level.11:30pm 2 PRIME PPFs in a row, on the Trading Chart, and with the TREND Chart pointing down. Hmmm......12:01am My charts are down. Have to start them up again. But looking at PRICE on my trading platform, it seems that we aren't heading anywhere at the moment.

Leg 2 of Back Door Bull Break in Progress
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. Sorry for getting this out so late...had quite a bit of connectivity problems the whole day. Not sure if the Taiwan earthquake had anything to do with it.The bottom was in, based on last night's PRIME confirmation. We are now heading back up to complete Leg 2 of the Back-Door Bull Break . Key level to look out for would be last PRIME Resistance at 1440.50. In order for this Leg 2 to "succeed", this up move must not Breach this Resistance. Remember, PRICE will continue in its direction until it fails. HOWEVER, a cautionary note here: We are already in PRIME, on the TREND Chart. So, will have to be careful when taking LONGS tonight.10:50pm 2X Divergent Top.11:36pm SHORTs possible here, with a Minor PPF, following the TREND Chart turning down...11:49pm Consolidation.12:12am I am still very much in holiday "mode", and with the disruptive nature of the internet connection caused by Taiwan's quake, I will merely "watch" the market, with some running commentar

Charting Software Problems

Leg 3 of Back-Door Bull Break in Progress
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. I did manage to resolve my charting software problems last night but by that time, it was already quite late, and the market was literally at a stand still...it was only at the last hour of trading that the action sped up. Of course by then, I was already in dream land.Leg 2 of the Back-Door Bull Break ended at 1438.75 and we are currently in Leg 3. Key level to watch would be 1419.75, last PRIME Support level and end of Leg 1 of the Back-Door Bull Break. This level must give way (to give us a PRIME Lower Low), in order for the 3 Legs to be completed. And to reverse the BULL TREND, into a BEAR TREND.

A Possible Interim Bottom in Place at 1419.75? End of Leg 1 of A Back-Door Bull Break?
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Happy Boxing Day! With the low volume, am just a keen observer today.11:19pm We just had a Minor PPF, signalling a Minor Bottom . We need a Prime PPF to give us a PRIME Confirmation of a bottom, to end this Leg 1 of the Back-Door Bull Break , to bring us back up (Leg 2) to challenge last PRIME Resistance of 1440.50.11:49pm Approaching PRIME Support on the Trading Chart.12:00am In PRIME.12:06am Possible LONG here. LONGs would want to see 1427.75 taken out.12:33am The low volume is taking its toll...As said earlier, am an observer, and this observer is not observing anymore, LOL...gonna catch up on some telly. ES Closes Flat After 3 Hours of Range Bound Trading
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. Talk about being in the right place, at the wrong time. After the 1st hour of trading, the ES simply got stuck in a 2 point range. The SHORTs I had in place were definitely in the right direction, but the time frame caught me out last night. All the target levels mentioned last night were all met...albeit a little too late for me to be around (awake, perhaps). We are approaching PRIME on the TREND Chart, and we still quite a distance away (PRICE wise) from the last PRIME Support of 1426.50. This PRICE movement currently is more consolidative in nature, giving us 2 PRIME PPFs in a row on the TREND Chart. Currently, SHORTs are still valid, even though we are consolidation - and as long as there is ample PRICE levels between Support & Resistance levels.Pre-Market Observation. As stated in my summary this morning, SHORTs were still valid, until the Globex session. PRICE managed a PRIME BREACH of last PRIME Resistance of 1437.75, making it a PRIME Higher High

ES PRICE To Challenge Last TREND PRIME Support at 1426.50
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. ES PRICE continued it's downward move to challenge last TREND PRIME Support at 1426.50. Last PRICE low achieved was at 1426.75!At the close, PRICE managed a pullback but shows no signs of a PRIME Failure. PRICE will continue to go lower until it fails.10:37pm Officially, Leg 1 of a Back-Door Bull Break - 1426.50 was taken out.10:42pm What a way to start the Christmas holiday weekend. A sell-down right from the get go! A 7pt drop within 15 minutes. Wow!10:47pm Still no trade.10:49pm SHORT 1424.25 / STOP 1425.2510:51pm Some wild swings in PRICE. Nearly took my STOP out.10:53pm If 1423.75 is not taken out, I'll cut the trade.10:53pm Out at 1424.50 / -0.25pts10:57pm SHORTs still valid...10:59pm SHORT 1424.50 / STOP 1425.5011:00pm STOPPED at 1425.50 / -1.00pt - The low volume is causing the unusual spikes in PRICE movement. It makes it very hard to trade. PFs become redundant. I guess that's my cue to stop for today. Will sit out tonight's session. After

ES Continues its Down Move
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. After being hit by "fake-outs" in the first 20 minutes of trading, PRICE managed to "behave" itself very much later. By then, I was already enjoying my night off from trading. Was very much relaxing, I must say. But I was not totally "shut-off" from it. On & off, I did pop by my "trading desk", literally, to check on PRICE movements.Posting a reply to a ES topic on CNA Forum, at around 1:13am, I mentioned that ES was going down to challenge 1420.75, and if breached, would then go down to challenge 1417.00. At the close of the market, we hit a session low of 1419.75. We will continue with the down move, until PRICE fails, which, has yet to happen...

A Good Year Ahead...
1970-01-01 00:59:59
As we embark on the 1st Official Trading Day of the new year (for the US Markets), I would like to wish everyone a highly profitable year ahead in trading!Pre-Market/Globex Observation (7pm - Singapore Time). Last Saturday, we talked about Leg 2 of the Back-Door Bull Break ending at 1438.75. This level has been Breached during yesterday's Globex session at 1439.00 (However, today's Globex session High is at 1438.75 on my charts, but on IB's trading platform, 1439.50 is recorded as the Globex High). In any case, we have effectively reversed the potential Bull Break, and thus continuing the current Bull TREND. And with the TREND Chart still pointing up, we would be looking for LONGs, later in the actual session.08:37pm LONG 1437.00 / STOP 1436.0008:49pm Moving STOP to 1435.7509:14pm STOPPED at 1435.75 / -1.25pts. Got hit by that sudden drop in PRICE. Don't recall any important news coming out, until much later...09:24pm LONG 1435.75 / STOP 1434.7509:31pm STOPPED at 1434.75 / -1.00pts

Market Gives Up Earlier Gains
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. Looking at where I signed off last night, my shorts were valid. Unfortunately, the signals came right after I retired to bed. Bummer! Last night's session gave us 2 Legs of a Bull Break on the TREND Chart. It breached last PRIME Support of 1426.25, thus giving us Leg 1. And at the close, the pull back in PRICE gave us Leg 2 (Lower High). Will look out for failure in this up move (no failure as yet), coupled with the TREND Chart to point down, to go SHORT tonight.

ES is back on the Bull Trend...Barely
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. Was rather upset by my trades for the last 2 nights. Haven't had the time to really sit down to go through what went wrong. For Wed night's trades, it was clear that I had taken positions during Globex. This can be quite frustrating due to the low volume & the wild gyrations in PRICE movements. One's stop can just be taken out due to "illogical" moves. Will look at yesterday's trades later to see what went wrong. As to last night's movement, the ES has resumed it's uptrend...again. We need to see a higher PRIME Low to confirm this (and of course a Higher PRIME High). For tonight, PRICE needs to go down to challenge last PRIME support of 1416.75 and fail. But sometimes, it may not even do so right away. PRICE can just continue to move higher, and "decide" to challenge PRIME Support much much later. I've seen it happen before.

Having Good Trading Mental Strength
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Review of last night's trades. ES closed near the session's low & we may not have seen the last of the down move. Key Resistance level would be 1420.25 & Key Support level would be 1414.25. Will have to keep a good lookout for these 2 levels.

Pre-Market Movement Suggests a Higher Open
1970-01-01 00:59:59
09:05pm Pre-Market Observations. In order for us to move lower, we need to challenge last PRIME Resistance at 1431.50 & print a lower PRIME High. Current PRICE movements look to suggest this upmove.10:40pm We are not getting that chance to print a Lower PRIME High, as yet. We are heading down first.
