Can your pen, can make a call?
2007-11-10 09:15:00
Take this pen for example, looks like an ordinary pen, right? Think again, this pen is actually a cellphone. This gadget is still in concept stage, which means it doesn't exist yet. But here are some details: the pen is designed to connect with Bluetooth headsets, it will have a USB connector, a microSD slot, a mono LCD screen to show numbers and any other information you expect to be on a cellphone.Numbers are dialed with a touch interface number system, which is etched into the pen itself. The USB connector also doubles as a control wheel to scroll through address books and call navigation. The pen acts as an antenna, as it's nine inches long. And guess what, the pen actually writes! We really like this design, and remember, , if you have to write down a phonenumber someone gives you, wouldn't it be silly to ask to borrow a pen, when there's one in your ear?source

Artificial Corneas Can Make Blind See
2007-11-10 08:59:00
German researchers have developed an artificial cornea that promises easy integration with a patient's native cornea, and prevents cellular hyperplasia on its plastic surface: "Our artificial corneas are based on a commercially available polymer which absorbs no water and allows no cells to grow on it," says IAP project manager Dr. Joachim Storsberg. "Once our partner Dr. Schmidt Intraokularlinsen GmbH has suitably shaped the polymers, we selectively coat the implants: We lay masks on them and apply a special protein to the edge of the cornea, which the cells of the natural cornea can latch onto. In this way, the cornea implant can firmly connect with the natural part of the cornea, while the center remains free of cells and therefore clear." What is special about this protein is that it can survive the later thermal sterilization of the artificial cornea without being damaged, as it does not have the three-dimensional structure typical of large proteins. Such a structure would be de

The beautiful pet of Mac: Leopard
2007-10-26 11:36:00
Does your desktop get cluttered? You’re hardly alone. So you’ll love one of the most useful new features in Leopard : Stacks. A stack is a Dock item that gives you fast access to a folder of files. When you click a stack, the files within spring from the Dock in a fan or a grid, depending on the number of items (or the preference you set). Leopard starts you off with two premade stacks: one for downloads and the other for documents. The Downloads stack automatically captures files downloaded from Safari, Mail, and iChat, and the Documents stack is a great place to keep things like presentations, spreadsheets, and word processing files. You can create as many stacks as you wish simply by dragging folders to the right side of your Dock. Pretty neat.your MAC now!

A Japanese company called Gen Corporation has created what people are calling the world's smallest one-man helicopter, capable of flying 50km/h and weighs (by itself) 75kg. As you can see from the photo, it's probably the world's most dangerous helicopter too, as the man has barely any piping to stand on and barely any seat to sit on. Then again, if GTA4 has taught u

It's also one of the cleanest-looking mods we've seen to date, with the only evidence of tampering on the PSP its
