THE GREAT BATTLE OF KHAIBAR
2007-11-08 09:57:47
According to Abdur-Rahman Ibn Laylah, the following Qur’ainc verse, ” And He rewarded them with a speedy victory, (Al-Fath: 18) “ refers to Khaibar. Some scholars of Siyrah say that the battle of Khaibar in the 6th year Hijra but according the majority of scholars it took place in the 7th year of Hijra. In Ishaq said when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) marched from Medina to Khaibar he went by way of Isr, and a mosque was built for him there; then by way of Al-Sahbih. Then he went forward with the army until he hatted in a valley called AL-Raji, halting between the men of Khaibar and Ghatafan so as to prevent the latter reinforcing Khaibar, for they were on their side against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When Ghatafan heard about the Messenger’s attack on Khaibar they gathered together and marched out to help the Jews against him; but after a day’s journey, hearing a rumor about t

Life is a tunnel
2007-11-08 09:26:00
The world is a circle spinning round & around. Sometimes it’s hard to keep both feet on the ground. Sometimes we lose our balance, and fall out of place. Yesterday I lost my way in the crowd. I started to yell & scream very loud. Today I managed to make it through it. I heard a little voice that kept saying ‘Just Do It’ Life is a tunnel , we all must pass through None of us are certain, just where it may lead us to For some of us it may be long The turns we take, may sometimes be wrong. We try to keep on the path that is clear. That will be the least, of all our fear. To move in the direction that is right To reach the end of the tunnel, to see the light. So try to be happy and not sad. Cause life isn’t really always that bad. Tommorrow, I’ll leave behind the sorrow. Because this life here on earth, is only on borrow.

Don’t medicate me.
2007-11-08 09:19:19
The symptoms have set in, visible on the out and felt deep within. I’m trembling, my head spins. Still, I request that you don’t medicate me. The control panel for my mind has shut down. All is blank. So, maybe it’s the lack of thinking, but I sincerely ask that you don’t medicate me. I begin to gag on fresh air– something my lungs are not used to. The tips of my fingers are numbing, and I’m not quite sure I like what I’m becoming, but I’d rather you not medicate me. The vein on the side of my neck throbs as my pulse rapidly increases. All else ceases, and fades into a blur. The singluar thought in my otherwise deserted mind remains : “Don’t medicate me.” Because the medication that you see fit as an antidote to my hostility, my depression, my anxiety, my flaws– pulls tight on my inner being and all the components that I consist of, until I am brought into an abyss where these flaws do not exist, but where I am eve

Hijab and Dressing of woman in Islam
2007-11-12 09:21:32
HIJAB The term hijab, includes not only the covering of body, but methods of behavior before members of the same or opposite sex, promoting privacy for females and prohibiting intermingling sexes, to ensure modesty, decency, chastity and above all, respect and worship of Allah. Minor differences exist among the scholars regarding the actual number of the requirements because of varying methods used in codifying them. The ones mentioned here represent the ones agreed upon by the overwhelming majority of scholars and are all solidly backed by firm evidence taken from the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the practice of the Sahabah (the Companions). THE EXTENT OF COVERING The dress worn in public must cover the entire body except what has been specifically excluded, based upon the following proofs: Allah says: ” And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts from sin and not show of their adornment except only that which is apparent, and draw their h

MIRACLE: Splitting of the Moon
2007-11-14 09:31:10
“The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder” [Qur’an 54:1] Narrated Abdullah: The moon was cleft asunder while we were in the company of the Prophet, and it became two parts. The Prophet said, Witness, witness (this miracle).” Here is the scientific proof of Surah-AL-Qamar. This picture shows the location of the “Rocky Belt” which shows the moon was once split. The unbelievers of Makkah said to the prophet that if you are truly a prophet split the moon and if you do we shall believe. It was a full moon that night… And so the prophet prayed to Allah to grant him this miracle, and the moon was split. Half was seen over Mount Saffa, and the other half was seen over Mount Kaikaan. The people said that the prophet has placed a spell on us, however if he played a trick on us, then he can’t play a trick on all the people in the world! Abu Jahl then said: “let us wait until the people of Albadiah come, and if they saw the moon split, then

MIRACLE: His Blessing in the milk
2007-11-14 09:12:49
Hadrat Abu Huraira (Rady Allahu ‘Anh) relates: “By Allah, except whom there is no God, during the days of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) I used to press my stomach against the ground due to extreme hunger, or I used to tie a stone over it. One day I was sitting by the side of a public thoroughfare when the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) passed by me. On seeing me he smiled and recognized from my face my condition (that I was hungry). He called “Abahir” (meaning Abu Huraira) and I responded: ‘I am here, O Messenger of Allah’. He said: ‘Come along with me’ and he walked on; I followed him. On reaching home he sought permission of the inmates, and entered, and also permitted me to enter in the house. He found a cup full of milk, and asked the inmates ‘From where has this milk come? They said: ‘It is a present for you from some gentleman or lady.’ He called me ‘Abahir’ an

MIRACLE: The Speech of the Wolf
2007-11-14 09:11:34
Volume 3, Book 39, Number 517: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “While a man was riding a cow, it turned towards him and said, ‘I have not been created for this purpose (i.e. carrying), I have been created for sloughing.l” The Prophet added, “I, Abu Bakr and ‘Umar believe in the story.” The Prophet went on, “A wolf caught a sheep, and when the shepherd chased it, the wolf said, ‘Who will be its guard on the day of wild beasts, when there will be no shepherd for it except me?’ “After narrating it, the Prophet said, “I, Abu Bakr and ‘Umar too believe it.” Abu Salama (a sub-narrator) said, “Abu Bakr and ‘Umar were not present then.” It has been written that a wolf also spoke to one of the companions of the Prophet near Medina as narrated in Fath-al-Bari:Narrated Unais bin ‘Amr: Ahban bin Aus said, “I was amongst my sheep. Suddenly a wolf caught a sheep and I shouted at it.

MIRACLE: The expulsion of a liar’s corpse by the Earth
2007-11-14 09:08:43
Volume 4, Book 56, Number 814: Narrated Anas: There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat-al-Baqara and Al-Imran, and he used to write (the revelations) for the Prophet. Later on he returned to Christianity again and he used to say: “Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him.” Then Allah caused him to die, and the people buried him, but in the morning they saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, “This is the act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and took his body out of it because he had run away from them.” They again dug the grave deeply for him, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, “This is an act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and threw his body outside it, for he had run away from them.” They dug the grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had

MIRACLE: Crying of the stem of the Date-palm Tree
2007-11-14 09:07:51
Narrated Hadrat Jabir bin ‘Abdullah (Rady Allahu ‘Anh): The Prophet used to stand by a tree or a date-palm on Friday. Then the Ansari woman or man said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Shall we make a pulpit for you?” He replied, “If you wish.” So they made a pulpit for him and when it was Friday, he proceeded towards the pulpit (for delivering the sermon). The date-palm cried like a child! The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) descended (the pulpit) and embraced it while it continued moaning like a child being quietened. The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) said, “It was crying for (missing) what it used to hear of religious knowledge given near to it.” (Bukhari)

MIRACLE: Water Multiplication
2007-11-14 09:06:05
Volume 4, Book 56, Number 779: Narrated ‘Abdullah: We used to consider miracles as Allah’s Blessings, but you people consider them to be a warning. Once we were with Allah’s Apostle on a journey, and we ran short of water. He said, “Bring the water remaining with you.” The people brought a utensil containing a little water. He placed his hand in it and said, “Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah.” I saw the water flowing from among the fingers of Allah’s Apostle , and no doubt, we heard the meal glorifying Allah, when it was being eaten (by him). Volume 4, Book 56, Number 777: Narrated Al-Bara: We were one-thousand-and-four-hundred persons on the day of Al-Hudaibiya (Treaty), and (at) Al-Hudaibiya (there) was a well. We drew out its water not leaving even a single drop. The Prophet sat at the edge of the well and asked for some water with which he rinsed his mouth and then he threw it out into the well. We stayed for

MIRACLE: Supplication for Rain
2007-11-14 09:04:34
Volume 8, Book 73, Number 115: Narrated Anas: A man came to the Prophet on a Friday while he (the Prophet) was delivering a sermon at Medina, and said, “There is lack of rain, so please invoke your Lord to bless us with the rain.” The Prophet looked at the sky when no cloud could be detected. Then he invoked Allah for rain. Clouds started gathering together and it rained till the Medina valleys started flowing with water. It continued raining till the next Friday. Then that man (or some other man) stood up while the Prophet was delivering the Friday sermon, and said, “We are drowned; Please invoke your Lord to withhold it (rain) from us” The Prophet smiled and said twice or thrice, “O Allah! Please let it rain round about us and not upon us.” The clouds started dispersing over Medina to the right and to the left, and it rained round about Medina and not upon Medina. Allah showed them (the people) the miracle of His Prophet and His response to his in

MIRACLE: Food Multiplication
2007-11-14 09:00:54
1) Narrated Jabir: My father had died in debt. So I came to the Prophet and said, “My father (died) leaving unpaid debts, and I have nothing except the yield of his date palms; and their yield for many years will not cover his debts. So please come with me, so that the creditors may not misbehave with me.” The Prophet went round one of the heaps of dates and invoked (Allah), and then did the same with another heap and sat on it and said, “Measure (for them).” He paid them their rights and what remained was as much as had been paid to them. 2) Hadrat Anas (Rady Allahu ‘Anh) reports: “In a walima-feast given by the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) my mother prepared malidah (pounded bread mixed with ghee and sugar) and offered it in a bowl to him. He asked me to call such and such persons and anyone who might meet me on the way. I went out and whoever came across me I kept sending him to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sa

WORDS THAT CAUSE ONE TO PLUMMET IN HELLFIRE
2007-11-21 14:37:57
WORDS THAT CAUSE ONE TO PLUMMET IN HELLFIRE Al-Ma’roor ibn Suwayd narrates that he once saw Abu Dharr (RA) wearing a beautiful shawl. His slave standing next to him was wearing a shawl exactly like it, warm and beautiful. Ma’roor said to Abu Dharr, “Perhaps you could take the shawl of your servant and give him another (less expensive) one.” “Never,” said Abu Dharr, “for I once had a servant whose mother was not Arab and I cussed him and his mother. That servant went to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) complaining of the words I had said. “When Rasul Allaah (SAW) saw me he commented, ‘O Abu Dharr, you are a man who still has Jahilliyyah (Pre-Islamic Ignorance) in him.’” Because of these painful words, Abu Dharr (RA) would always dress his servants in the exact same garments that he would wear. Dear brothers and sisters, Allah is disobeyed most with our tongues. There is a sin that sweeps amongst us, a sin that many take lightly, a sin that is laughed at, a sin that cou

‘Seek refuge against five traits…’
2007-11-26 12:45:15
The blessed Companion, Abdullah Ibn Umar reports that the Holy Prophet (SAW) once gave a sermon in which he said: O Emigrants, I seek refuge of Allah Almighty against five traits of character lest they should grow into you: firstly, against immodesty, for when immodesty prevails in a people they are hit by plagues, epidemics and ever-new diseases not even heard of by their elders; and secondly, against cheating in weights and measure, for when this disease grips a people, they are hit by famine, price-hikes, rigorous labour and over-work and oppressive rulers; and thirdly, against non-payment of Zakah, for when people do not pay Zakah, rains are stopped; and fourthly, against the religious apathy of people, for when a community breaks its covenant with Allah and His Messenger, then Allah Almighty makes alien enemies sit over them who snatch away what belongs to them without any justification; and fifthly, against the apathy of ruling authority, for when the rulers of a people fail to

Expectations of the Mercy of Allah (SWT)
2007-11-26 12:40:35
There once lived a pious man who was enslaved to a wicked master. The righteous slave wanted to teach his master a lesson that he would not forget, a lesson that would make him change his ways. The Master told him one day to plant wheat. The slave took the opportunity. He went and collected seeds of barley and planted them. As the season drew near, the master was enraged to see that after all this work and time the slave had planted the wrong seed. In his thrashing rage, he scolded the slave saying, “Why did you do this?” The righteous slave said, “I had hope that the barley seeds would come out as wheat.” The Master said, “How can you plant barley seeds and expect it to come out as wheat?” The slave stopped and said quietly, “How can you disobey Allah and expect for His bounteous mercy? How can you openly challenge his Deen and hope for Jannah.” The Master was stunned and silent. He understood. “You have taught me something today t

How to control your desires
2007-11-26 12:37:25
A man came to Ibrahim ibn Adham (RA) and said, “Abu Ishaq, I am unable to control my lower self. Please give me something to help me with it.” “If you accept five conditions,” said Ibrahim, “and are able to put them into practice, your disobedience will not cause you any problem.” “Just tell me what they are, Abu Ishaq!” the man said. “The first is that when you want to disobey Allah you do not eat anything He provides.” “Then how will I get anything to eat? Everything on the earth is from Him!” “So is it right to eat His provision and disobey Him at the same time?” replied Ibrahim. “No, it is not. What is the second condition?” “When you want to disobey him, move off His land.” “That is even more difficult! Exclaimed the man. “In that case where will I live?” “Is it right to eat his provision and live on His land and then to disobey Him?” asked Ibra

The least torture in Hell
2007-11-26 12:31:23
The severity of its heat, and their variation in it: An-Nu`man ibn Bashir (RA) narrated that he heard the Prophet(SAW) say: “The least torture in the Hell on the Day of Judgment is that of a man whose foot sole is laid on a live coal which causes his brain to boil just like a boiler.” [Bukhari and Muslim] Muslim narrated in his Sahih: “He does not think that any other person is tortured more severely than him although he is in the least torture.” [Muslim] Abu Huraira (RA) narrated: This fire of yours which burns the son of Adam (in this world) is the seventieth part of the heat of the Hell. They say: ‘We swear by Allah, our fire is quite enough.’ The Prophet said: ‘It is sixty nine times more and each part of it is like the heat of your fire.’” [Muslim] Abu Huraira said that the Prophet (SAW) said: “The Hell complained to her Rabb: O my Rabb! I am eating myself. He allowed her two breaths: One in winter and the other one in summer, and that is why you feel th
