Track Your AdSense Payments from DHL
2006-12-26 02:38:56
I was trying to find a phone number for my local DHL branch when I found a page that said it would track shipments by senders reference number. I thought if I could work out what google used as their reference number, I could track my adsense payment shipments. And what do you know but the "shipper's reference" was just the Payment Number in the adsense payment history page. Take that number, and enter it on the track-shipping-by-reference number page; For USA the page is http://track.dhl-usa.com/Track ByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef For New Zealand it's http://www.dhl.co.nz/publish/nz/en/eshipping/track/sref.high.html You only need to enter the date range and reference number, you can leave the other fields blank. Happy Tracking! ( and New Year! ) Share This

2006-12-21 02:16:15
We’re excited to tell you that AdSense for content is now supported in Croatian, Czech, Slovak, and Traditional Chinese. If you manage a site in one of these four languages, you can now complement your existing AdSense for search boxes (and revenue) with contextually-targeted AdSense ads! To get started with generating your AdSense for content code, just visit the AdSense Setup tab in your account. Please keep in mind that after you add the ad code to a new page, it can take up to 48 hours for our crawler to access your site. Once your site has been crawled, our system will automatically detect the primary language of your pages and serve targeted ads in the correct language. Welcome (or DobrodoÅ¡lica / Vítame / 歡迎) to our new AdSense for content publishers! Share This

Ad and Image Placement: a policy clarification
2006-12-19 01:34:06
Article Source: ADSENSE BLOG “We’ve recently received a number of emails from publishers asking how we feel about the placement of images near Google ad units. There’s been some confusion on this issue, and so we turned to our policy team to set the record straight.” -Adsense Team Can I place small images next to my Google ads? We ask that publishers not line up images and ads in a way that suggests a relationship between the images and the ads. If your visitors believe that the images and the ads are directly associated, or that the advertiser is offering the exact item found in the neighboring image, they may click the ad expecting to find something that isn’t actually being offered. That’s not a good experience for users or advertisers. Publishers should also be careful to avoid similar implementations that people could find misleading. For instance, if your site contains a directory of Flash games, you should not format the ads to mimic the game

How will i track my referrals?
2006-12-18 13:03:19
To track the performance of your referrals, you can visit either your Reports Overview page or your Advanced Reports page, being sure to select referrals as the product. We’ll display clicks, sign-ups, conversions and earnings separately for each referral product or service and will report your referral statistics in the following manner: Clicks: We’ll report a click every time a user clicks on one of your referral buttons for any product. Sign-ups: A sign-up will be displayed every time a user signs up for AdSense. Some products, like Firefox, do not require a sign-up and therefore will not report sign-ups. Conversions: Each product you refer will show conversion statistics. A conversion displayed in your reports indicates that you’ve reached the threshold necessary to receive earnings for that referral. For example, we’ll show a conversion each time a user you’ve referred downloads and runs Firefox, or when a publisher you’ve referred first earns

Track AdSense Clicks With Google Analytics
2006-12-29 15:53:59
There have been 3rd party javascripts that track adsense clicks out for a while, but no free ones to my knowledge that track clicks on Firefox. Until now. This free script integrates with Google Analytics to allow you to track your adsense clicks. This tracking is done through “Goals”. A goal is a way of tracking when a website visitor does something you want - Buy an item, submit a contact form, or in our case click an adsense ad. Create a Goal: To create a goal you assign it a URL. This url doesn’t have to exist, as the javascript will trigger it. In the Goal URL field, enter “/asclick” and “AdClick” for the goal name. Adding the javscript to your page: Copy the astrack.js to your website server and add the following to the footer of your website. This has to come after all adsense code. Testing it: DON’T! There is no way to test that this works as it tracks adsense clicks, and you can’t click your own adsense. You’ll just

2006-12-30 03:48:14
Increase your CTR (Click Thru Rate) by removing "Advertise on this Site" Get rid of the "advertise on this site" text links next to your Google ads. This was automatically added by Google a few months ago. You can remove "advertise on this site" very easily in your adsense admin section. Just log in to your adsense account, click "my account" and look towards the bottom of the page. You'll see a section called "Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up". Just click edit and opt out of displaying it. By removing the extra "advertise on this site" text link you might just increase your CTR or click through ratio increasing the money you earn. Share This

Adsense for Your Domain Park & Earn
2007-01-07 04:39:34
Domain name is so common these days and can cost a mere $1.99 (Yahoo.com) or a little more upscale at $8.20 with Godaddy.com. There are people out there who make their money directly from domains by parking their domains with sites such as Sedo, while parking their domain a single page containing text link (ads) will appear on the page and if a visitor clicks on it the owner of the domain will make some $$. But instead of Sedo you could also choose to use Google’s Adsense for Domains AdSense® for domains allows domain name registrars and large domain name holders to unlock the value in their parked page inventory. AdSense for domains delivers targeted, conceptually related advertisements to parked domain pages by using Google's semantic technology to analyze and understand the meaning of the domain names. Our program uses ads from the Google AdWordsâ„¢ network, which is comprised of thousands of advertisers worldwide and is growing larger everyday. Google AdSense for domains

Google AdSense site diagnostic bug being fixed
2007-01-11 16:59:57
I am one of those people who doesn’t often look into my AdSense site diagnostic s tab, but there has been a bug in it for the past week or so that was first noticed in the SERoundtable forums. If someone views your site in the Google cache, they still see ads. But it seems to trigger a robots.txt error in your site diagnostic tab, because it recognizes that the IP used by the cache is blocked by robots.txt. So in your account, it is showing the Google cache URL, since the bot recognizes that those Google cache IP URLs are disallowed by Google’s robots.txt file for each of those IPs. I was also surprised at all the cache page views on various sites. I did talk to Google about the issue, and it is being fixed. But in the meantime, you can login to your AdSense account and see it in your site diagnostics tab. Share This

Picasa referrals into Google Pack
2007-01-12 02:17:41
In the next few days you may notice a change to our Picasa referrals program. With the recent international launch of Google Pack referrals, we’ll soon be consolidating Picasa and Pack referrals into a single program. Don’t worry, you will still be able to direct users to Picasa as a part of Pack, which also includes useful software like Google Earth, Desktop and Toolbar. To make for an easy transition, we’ll upload new Pack referral options that feature Picasa. To transition to these new referrals, you should generate a new referral unit, choosing Google Pack as the product, and select one of the new Pack units that features Picasa. As an added benefit, if users decide that they only want to install Picasa from their Pack download, you’ll still earn the referral fee for Pack — double the value you were previously earning for Picasa alone. If you’re currently displaying a Picasa referral unit on your site, you won’t notice any changes to the

Unbranded AdSense Ads Being Tested
2007-01-13 16:48:42
I haven't seen this one yet but the one with an image next to my ad units is already shown on some of my sites. Anyway, JenSense points us to a post by Mack who has occasionally seen AdSense ad units on Ranx.co.uk that are unbranded without showing the "Ads by Goooooogle" or the "Advertise on this site" that normally displays in his ad units. So what's the bid deal here? Well if the branding is gone, most publishers would definitely start seeing a higher CTR. You'll be able to integrate the ad units directly with your content blurring the line between ads and content even more. Some people will see them not as advertisement but as part of your content so they would click them and not realizing they are actually ads. But the other side of the coin is that someone has to pay for the extra clicks. Advertisers would mostly prefer to have the branding displayed since they will reduce unintentional or misleading click-thrus which usually do not convert. Currently only premium

WordPress JavaScript Plugin for Posts
2007-01-15 02:42:17
The Adsense-Deluxe WordPress plugin can do more than simply help you add Adsense ads to your WordPress blog posts. It’s also great for including JavaScript code or most any other text you want to insert when a post is viewed. When I first wrote Adsense-Deluxe, I just wanted a more efficient method of including a variety of Adsense ads in my posts and templates, and a way to easily change those over time, or disable them. But Adsense-Deluxe is essentially just a search/replace filter for posts, which means you can just as easily include Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) ads, or Clicksor Contextual Advertising or any other advertising code the same way Adsense is configured. Today one of the many satisfied Adsense-Deluxe users (Michael B. at http://www.MarketItOnline.co.nz wrote about his frustrations in finding a way to include JavaScript in his posts since WordPress adds <br> html formatting to each line of the JavaScript code. He asked if I had any ideas or knew of a plugin
