Customer should cut ties to tainted coupons 2008-03-06 10:59:41 Customer should cut ties to tainted couponsI had to kind of laugh when I read this.First of all, what does this lady expect? She goes to the store in her CAR to buy a FREEZER and expects the store to magically fit it into her CAR for her? How many freezers to you know that will fit into a car anyways? And that is called bad customer service because they can't? Some stores don't offer delivery services, tie downs and trailers. This is why she went to a store that did! Duh.They promote these kinds of deals all the time, especially during Frozen Food Month. Buy a freezer and you get $$ amount of coupons for free food. This makes me think that she went to the store, bought the freezer for the coupons knowing darn well that she couldn't fit it into her car. She then returns the freezer claiming Read more:Customer

www.PriceProtectr.com 2008-03-06 10:47:28 (tricky spelling - but it is correct)This looks to be like an awesome site! First of all, I didn't know so many stores gave refunds for products that went on sale after you purchased it. Add that to a site that will keep track of your purchases, the stores who offer this promotion and then email you if the product drops in price. Then all you have to do is go get your refund!I can't count the times I have purchased a product only to find it in the ad, on sale for $100 cheaper. This site does all the work for you and it's very simple to use. Although I haven't officially given it a try, it makes me want to go out and buy something just so I can use the site.

My Very Own Sewing Machine! 2008-03-03 18:22:17 I love it! I remember my mother sewing a lot when I was little. She had a sewing machine like this where the sewing machine folded into the table - except hers was white. I had always wanted one like this and could not believe it when I walked into the thrift shop one day and saw this sitting there with a price tag of $19.99!SOLD!It works perfectly! And it's so simple. The only complaint I have now is that it sits in my dinning room - and my dinning room will never be the same.It even came with the original hand book: Read more:Machine

Vintage Fabric Meet Vintage Pattern 2008-03-03 18:21:19 At the beginning of the summer when yard sales started I found this fun vintage fabric:I just love the those umbrella's with little bows!A few weeks ago I found a dream yard sale where they had tons of vintage patterns. Since my sewing adventure started I hadn't yet owned a pattern but had heard them calling to me several times. She was selling them for $1 a piece - I picked out these:My absolute favorite:And finally, when you combine the two - get ready for the grand finale--!Isn't she a ham! This was my first outfit made from a pattern and I was so proud of myself! It turned out very well - and only took about 10 hours. Not bad for my first one!I attempted to make some bloomers for her but those turned out to be a wee bit too small. Will have to try again. Read more:Fabric

Pine Cone Research 2008-02-25 13:33:52 Pine Cone Research
is one of my favorite online survey companies. They pay $5 per survey, and most surveys only take about 10 or 15 minutes. They also send out some great test products. With the test products you get paid for the survey to qualify you for the test product, then you get the excitement of the test product and with a follow up survey on the test product - you get paid again. They also pay automatically by Pay Pal usually within two days after taking a survey - so payout is quick and easy. I usually make an easy extra $15 - $20 a month with Pine Cone.It is a rarity that they let new members in, usually only by invitation or if you happen to come across one of their banners - which they don't put up very often. They are looking for new participates right now and you can find one o
Is Obama Confused? 2008-02-22 18:19:03 Confused on what country he is living in and wanting to be president? First he refuses to salute the American Flag. Heck, he even refused to wear the American Flag on his lapel saying he would rather tell the American people what he believed and what he thought would make a great country. So what is he telling us here? This is a picture of Obama
s Huston campaign office. Hanging on the wall is a Cuban flag with a picture of Che Guevara - a communist Cuban Leader. Is this who he salutes? A terrorist? A murderer? You have to stop and ask yourself - What is this mans real intentions? What are his real plans for our country?

Monthly Cooking For November 2007-11-12 22:21:41 Here is my monthly menu for November
. Each of the older kids picked out 3 meals they would like this month. Also added in is two nights were we will go out to eat.On Saturday, November 3rd, I did my shopping for the things I didn't have for my Monthly
Cooking for November. I spent $70, which is way more than I ever spend at the store, but this will basically provide all the meals I need for a whole month - so that's not bad. This is almost everything I bought. I didn't have to buy any meat cause I already have a freezer full of meat that I planned my meals around. For the rest of the month I will only need to buy staples, watch for deals and meat on sale for the following month, then plan December's meals around that. This month hubby was doing lawn work so I was on my own. It wasn't too bad

My First Picture Applique 2007-10-24 11:21:34 In the past I have done small shape applique, but nothing major. I was inspired to do the major when my daughter spilt some grape juice all over the front of these cute jammies.I found a Sun Bonnet Sue pattern at the library and cut out the pieces from some scraps I had. I did it all by hand and was so impressed at how well it all came out! Now, I've got a few other shirts around here with stains on them... This may be the start of something. Read more:First

Cooking Game Plan - Cook Once A Month 2007-09-26 12:42:04 I like to cook - really. I love making up my own recipes and having it all come together. What I don't like is all the frustrations that come along with the cooking. I spend at least a half hour digging in the fridge trying to come up with something. Chasing the babies out of the kitchen or worrying about if they are going to get under food when carrying a pot of hot pasta water to the sink to drain. I hate dirty dishes and having the kitchen a mess - which always seems to be the case after I cook something. Then I am left asking myself - was it really necessary to use 4 pans and a skillet to make that one meal? Yup - I'm a mess in the kitchen - but I really do like cooking.Let's not talk about the look my husband gave me when I told him I only wanted to cook one time a month. But I was se Read more:Month
Lotta Tortillas, Chicken Noodle & Tomato Soups! 2007-09-22 20:06:17 Last week Kroger was having a promotion where you buy 15 participating items and you get $5 off your shopping order. What a deal! Old El Paso Tortillas
were on sale for $1. I ended up getting 45 packages! After coupons and store promotions were taken off I ended up paying $8 for 45 packages or $.17 each. These Tortillas are so versatile. You can put anything in them and they will taste good. Makes a good quick snack or make them into a meal. Sometimes if your slick you can sneak some veggies in there and the kids wont even know!I also bought 90 cans of Campbells Tomato
& ChickenNoodle
Soups. They were on sale 5/$3. After coupons and store promotions I paid $6 for all 90 cans. That's $.07 each! We are definitely prepared for the winter! I like the tomatoes soups better caus Read more:Chicken Noodle
Garden Surprises 2007-09-20 12:06:19 I love carrots! The neat thing about carrots is that they grow underground. So you don't experience the new flower, growth of the vegetable, changes it goes through like you do with most of your other vegetables. I've been blindly waiting all summer long for my carrots to be ready. It's so rewarding and fun to pull those big, orange, dirty carrots from the ground. Read more:Garden
Befores & Afters 2007-09-13 21:44:14 In the basement, my stockpile shares the same room as my laundry room. It was a nice, big room, but very dark and dungeon - like. My stockpile is my pride and joy - so I just couldn't have it subject to those conditions. Here is the before:And the after:
January 2008 Ledger 2008-03-08 19:25:02 There are a couple new things I wanted to do regarding how I am tracking my savings and incoming money. I wanted to keep track of my ECB's and Easy Saver rebates. ECB's are cash coupons from CVS for buying certain products. Easy Saver rebates are rebates Walgreen rewards you with for buying certain products. The ECB's and Easy Saver rebates are not counted until I actually use them. The reason for tacking these, curiosity. Just wondering. Also, I am going to start including all stamps and Pay Pal I use for coupons. I sometimes need to use these to obtain the coupons I need for sales so they should be considered part of my monthly bill. Hopefully this will also help me not to be so wasteful in trading or paying for coupons I end up not using.Retail Cost: $899.66Coupon/Store Savings: $555.79E Read more:January

2008 Money and Savings Goals 2008-03-08 19:02:29 My ending results for 2007 sucked. I was a real slacker most of the year. It's disappointing knowing I could have done so much better. My monthly budget is $250 dollars a month. This includes all household, food and pet items for a household with 5 kids, 2 adults and 1 cat. My total spending for 2007 was:Before Coupons: $6,710.29Store/Coupon Savings
: 4,067.73Total Paid: $2,482.29My total incoming money for 2007 was $494.46. This includes all surveys, mail in rebates and anything else that brings in money.I'm a little disappointed in the ending results mainly cause I know I can do better. My goal for 2008 is to at least double my savings and incoming money without increasing my monthly budget of $250.What I need to do to accomplish this is:1. Be more motivated. 2. Be more organiz Read more:Goals

I got paid to buy Fleischmann's yeast! 2008-03-14 20:41:14 Okay - this is actually an old deal I did before Christmas and never got around to posting - but I thought it was still post worthy.Fleischmann's Yeast went on sale at Kroger for 10/$10. They also had manufacture coupons for .50 cents off, which doubled - making them FREE!I got something like 34 of them! Now if getting them free wasn't good enough, for every one I bought I also got a catalina for .50 cents off my next shopping order!I'll do the math for you. I made $17 bucks for buying 34 Fleischmann's yeast! I don't think it can get much better than that! Oh, besides the fact that this yeast doesn't expire until late 2009 so I have lots of time to make homemade breads, cinnamon rolls and other goodies!
Addicted Gambler Suing Casinos of 20 Million 2008-03-14 18:23:42 So how do you say -- sore looser? Another story were people don't want to take on personal responsibility and would much rather blame everyone else for their problems. And why not? That seems to be where the money is, since she lost a million and is suing for 20 million. Huh? Regardless of whether it was her responsibility or the casinos - the math is still off.Sadder still - I wouldn't be surprised if her lawyer actually found 12 idiotic jurors who feel she is actually owed this money.
