I got paid to buy Fleischmann's yeast! 2008-03-14 20:41:14 Okay - this is actually an old deal I did before Christmas and never got around to posting - but I thought it was still post worthy.Fleischmann's Yeast went on sale at Kroger for 10/$10. They also had manufacture coupons for .50 cents off, which doubled - making them FREE!I got something like 34 of them! Now if getting them free wasn't good enough, for every one I bought I also got a catalina for .50 cents off my next shopping order!I'll do the math for you. I made $17 bucks for buying 34 Fleischmann's yeast! I don't think it can get much better than that! Oh, besides the fact that this yeast doesn't expire until late 2009 so I have lots of time to make homemade breads, cinnamon rolls and other goodies!
Addicted Gambler Suing Casinos of 20 Million 2008-03-14 18:23:42 So how do you say -- sore looser? Another story were people don't want to take on personal responsibility and would much rather blame everyone else for their problems. And why not? That seems to be where the money is, since she lost a million and is suing for 20 million. Huh? Regardless of whether it was her responsibility or the casinos - the math is still off.Sadder still - I wouldn't be surprised if her lawyer actually found 12 idiotic jurors who feel she is actually owed this money. I decided to stimulate Kroger 2008-05-04 20:36:45 Isn't that such a weird word? Stimulate. It sounds like a body part.Anyways, Kroger is having a stimulate promotion until 5/31/08 where you buy Kroger Gift Cards, they will give you 10% more in gift cards. You have to buy them in intervals of $300, $600 or $1200. I had been thinking about it for the past couple weeks. Even though I know I would use them because we shop at Kroger weekly and I would be making money on it -- it's still hard to hand over that much money and have a permanent investment - at least for me. But I did - and I went for the big-gun! I handed them $1200 and they handed me 4 $330 Gift Cards. So basically I just made $120 in like 5 minutes. That's 2 weeks worth of groceries for us! Pretty Cool!We haven't gotten our stimulate check yet so I am glad they didn't ask f

Why do we have to tip? 2008-05-09 17:18:30 First, I want to say – I usually tip 15-20%. But really? Why am I required to tip at all? Why is it that restraints get away with paying their waitresses less and expect the customer to finish paying them. I know it’s been said that you are paying for a service – but if I am going to a place of business I expect to get good service anyways. If I go to Kroger and the cashier was extra nice to me in ringing up my coupons – should I give her a tip cause she did her job or because she was extra nice?

I got fabric softener! 2008-05-10 16:38:55 I got these today at Walgreens. They were on sale for $3.99 each - BUT when you buy 9 participating products you get 2 catalinas for $10 each - good on your next shopping order. I also had some lousy .25 cent coupons for each one. So, counting my coupons and catalinas - they ended up being $13.66 for all 9 of them - or $1.51 each! My kids think I am weird when I take pics of the deals I get an

You Can Use Coupons and Still Eat Healthy 2008-05-21 07:30:02 I’m not sure where coupons got such a bad rap. Some people are appalled if you even mention the word ‘coupon’. One bad reputation coupons got is, ‘You can’t eat healthy using coupons’, and I would like to let you know, you can.It is true, several coupons are for processed, unhealthy junk foods. However, at the same time, there are just as many coupons for good healthy foods. You just h Read more:Coupons

Tuna Salad with Grated Onions 2008-06-04 20:16:29 We love tuna salad and every time I make it I add chopped onions. I love the taste of the tuna, mayo and onions - but I don't like the raw onion chunks. I can never seem to chop them small enough to satisfy my 'no chunk desire'. Then the other day as I was making tuna salad - it came to me - grate the onion. This was perfect! Grating the onion made the pieces small enough - no chunks - and g Read more:Salad

Price Matching 2008-06-11 14:11:26 The reason stores have sales is to try and lure you in to shop at their store. With so many stores and sales, it can be hard to keep track of each one to make sure you are getting the best deal. Not to mention it can be time consuming and cost a lot in gas going to different stores for different sales. So, as an added benefit to customers some stores will price match. Price matching is when a store
