ActiveRain Rocks! 2007-09-04 20:27:19 I have been meaning to write a post about ActiveRain on ActiveRain now for a while but what really convinced me was when I received a phone call from ActiveRain. Yes, I received a phone call asking how we like the sponsored ads we purchased. Very impressive! Can't tell you how much money we have spent with Google and Yahoo on pay per click ads but I doubt we will ever receive a phone call from those guys. This isn't the only reason we like ActiveRain so much. The developers of this site have really done a great job. Hopefully I went on long enough to annoy whoever is reading this, but not too
long to have driven anyone away. I have quite a point to make here, and it will
be interesting to see who agrees. I’ll start with a question: why? Why
do people post ads or blogs using all caps? And the inundation of exclamation
points…why?
Is it because they feel that their advertisement will be more emphatic? If
that is the purpose, I would much rather read something with words skillfully
strung together than a bombardment of exclamation points. Or is it because they
think bigger is better, and the larger the letters, the more likely the message
will stick? If that is the purpose, I would much rather look at a picture or

Adding Images or Widgets to AR Right Panel 2007-11-20 16:35:50 I have been asked by a few different AR members on how I get my ads to display on the right of my blog. This post is for all of you that stumble upon my blog that wonder the same thing.From your AR home click the "My Settings" linkYou can use HTML, Flash and JavaScript in the Blog Description textarea. I have seen people put their Google Ad Words code in here, which will then display ad words in the right panel. Others have placed widget code here or other images. You will see in my right panel I have a click to call widget, a banner image, a calculator widget and some other widgets. I accomplished this all by placing HTML widget code or image widget code in the blog description.
