Kashou Nuts 2008-03-11 10:39:02 While you're breathlessly waiting for our opinions on the second half of Rami's collection, head on over to AfterElton and EW and check out what chrome dome himself has to say:
AfterElton
AE: Something that comes up frequently in discussions of your work is that you were too good, too polished, already too successful. In fact, Tim Gunn made a comment that this was literally the first season
Case Clothed 2008-03-10 10:58:24 Darlings, Laura has a new Case Clothed up at iVillage.
"Problem: Three weeks ago your little bundle of joy came into the world, leaving you with a less-than-tight tummy and a more than bountiful bosom. How can you still show off what your mama gave you while hiding what baby may have temporarily taken away?"
And in other Laura news...
We stopped by her place last week and saw her designs for
PRG at the TRESemmé Finale Party, Part Zwei 2008-03-08 20:37:35 More picture dumping from the TRESemmé finale party, darlings. By the way, Bravo's press release informs us that the season four finale became the network's most watched broadcast ever (3.754 million). Congrats, Bravo!

Young, Raw Talent 2008-03-08 13:45:25 Women's Wear Daily has an interesting couple of quotes for you to chew on:
"But past contestants at the party believe the show's producers should come up with a new formula. "Personally, watching it, they need to change the format or something to refresh the love people have for the show," said finalist Jillian Lewis, who felt the show could last, "maybe another season or two. I love the show, Read more:Talent
Congratulations, Jillian! 2008-03-07 23:46:44 The Dish announced today that Jillian is the winner of the Sew Not Over competition:
"Well, Bravotv.com users, you've spoken. Just to refresh, we asked this season's Project Runway designers to create a three-piece collection for our Sew Not Over online challenge and had you guys vote. And your winner, with over 20,000 votes, is ... JILLIAN! We called up the Sew Not Over winner to tell her Read more:Congratulations
Nobody puts Baby in the corner! 2008-03-07 15:30:55 Bravo has Jillian's exit interview up and it's a bit of a jaw-dropper. Delicious, delicious designer bitchery, darlings.
We feel like we're the big brothers sticking up for our baby sister, but Jillian didn't strike us as this, shall we say, blunt about her aufing. We're gonna chalk this one up to the fact that the interview took place right after the elimination and emotions were pretty Read more:Nobody

Ripping the Collections: Christian, Part 1 2008-03-14 12:59:51 Princess, come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!
As always, a refresher:
Kittens, this is going to be tough. We laughed when we uploaded all the pictures for this post and realized we'd essentially be discussing the same outfit over and over again. Which isn't to say that we don't love the collection or that we don't think he deserved the win. We do on both accounts. Read more:Christian
The Princess and the Press 2008-03-14 08:39:42 Has any PR contestant, winner or not, ever been this much of a media figure?
First, this:
"Project Runway" winner Christian Siriano had a coming-out party last night in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Roosevelt [...] he was planning to meet with Victoria Beckham this morning to start selling her his collection; he'll be on "Jay Leno" Friday night; he made a dress for Kimberley Locke to wear on " Read more:Princess

Ripping the Collections: Jillian, Part 2 2008-03-13 10:23:28 This is the third time we've seen this look from Jillian, but we can't blame her. It's a great look and it's quickly becoming her signature. On the other hand, we think she overworked it this time. There's a lot of great detailing here, but too much for one look. Although we love the splash of red and the dovetail seam in the bodice.
Love this look. That sweater is both gorgeous and different.
In or Out: La Nina 2008-03-13 09:08:42 Darlings, let's turn the tables, shall we?
Here's La Nina at the Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF:
Love the shoes.
As for the dress, well she's certainly right on trend, because that yellow seems to be the "it" color for Spring. More specifically, yellow and purple combinations are all the rage and she, being the fashionista, managed to work the purple in with her accessories.
In or Out: Sarah Jessica Parker 2008-03-16 10:23:23 Well, since you judgmental bitches seemed to enjoy it so much last time...
Here's SarahJessicaParker
at ShoWest 2008 at The Paris Hotel and Casino on March 13, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Now, Stacy and Clinton maintain that women shouldn't wear miniskirts over the age of 35, but we always thought that was a little arbitrary. That might be true for a majority of women in that age bracket, Read more:Sarah Jessica Parker
Ripping the Collections: Sweet P, Part 1 2008-03-19 09:33:26 Poodles, now comes the time when we give the decoys the RunGay treatment. Stepping up to the plate, that inked little darling from L.A., Miss Sweet
P.
But first, let's see the whole thing in movement:
Sweet P's kind of hard to pin down. Her work during the competition was (at best) erratic and when she walked out on that runway to tearfully introduce her collection, we didn't know what to
Because if there's one thing we love to talk about, it's foundation garments. 2008-03-18 16:57:45 Our gal Laura Bennett made an appearance on the Today Show this morning to talk about her latest iVillage fashion strip, Case Clothed. Check it:
Is she not fabulous and adorable?
And yes, the models were wearing pieces from her new line, which will be sold at high end stores. More details on that as we get them, but kittens, we've seen some of these pieces up close the last couple of times we
PRC Winner Evan Biddell's Collection 2008-03-18 11:16:20 Project Runway Canada winner Evan Biddell opened up Toronto's Fashion Week with his new collection based on the "eco warrior," an environmentally conscious character inspired by Japanese animé.
Frankly, we're not seeing it. It's a nice enough collection rendered in whites and jewel tones. The looks range from basic, pretty dresses to slightly more out there pieces, but there's no reinventing the
Ripping the Collections: Christian, Part 2 2008-03-17 11:22:38 This was another look that drew gasps from the crowd - and rightfully so. No, of course it's not "wearable" in the sense that the average woman would ever attempt this look, but it's a stunningly dramatic statement. She cut quite a figure walking down that runway. Love the side zippers on the pants and of course we love the gigantic neck ruffle. We love the idea of the hat, but strangely, this Read more:Christian
Ripping the Collections: Sweet P, Part 2 2008-03-21 11:13:14 And the clunks just keep on coming.
Ignoring the ugly plaid (which is nigh-impossible for us), that top doesn't seem to go with it at all, and the silhouette just ain't all that. The pants are weirdly balloony. Had they been a full straight-leg trouser or a skinny pant, we could have gotten behind this look more, but as it is...nope.
And the gloves just don't work with this look.

The Next Marc Jacobs? 2008-03-20 09:27:19 Well, the Christian love keeps flowing. From New York Magazine:
"Tim Gunn offered lofty praise of Project Runway winner Christian Siriano at last night's GLAAD Awards. 'I really believe he is his generation's Marc Jacobs
. I really do,' Gunn said. Now that comment is like, Whoa, considering Marc Jacobs
is arguably today's most famous and influential fashion designer. But, hey, Victoria Beckham
In or Out: Vera Wang 2008-03-19 14:18:42 Get your bitch on, bitches!
Here's Vera Wang
attending the 33rd Annual March of Dimes Beauty Ball at Cipriani in New York City:
Dig that ballerina pose. And for god's sake, Vera, cheer the fuck up. You're rich.
Big, fat DON'T LIKE. She looks like she's wearing a bejeweled laundry bag. Also, that's an ugly shade of brown. Also also, she's wearing a minidress over pants. Also also also, she
In or Out: Victoria Beckham 2008-03-22 00:31:09 For us, this post is both an in AND an out. First, the in:
Victoria Beckham
selling her wares at Holt Renfrew in Toronto:
That's pretty fucking fierce. Love the boots.
As for "out," check out her latest ad for Marc Jacobs:

Ripping the Collections: Chris, Part 2 2008-03-25 09:00:21 Get your tomatoes and warm up your pitching arms, girls!
Heavy and depressing and uninteresting bordering on ugly. It completely obliterates whatever figure that model has. Another point - and for us, this is the biggest complaint we have about Chris
' collection - it just doesn't look modern at all.
Similar to the first silk screened dress in that it's a very simple design where the print is
Ripping the Collections: Chris, Part 1 2008-03-24 09:28:26 It's SissyBear's turn and oh, kittens. Are we ever in TROUBLE.
But first, a refresher:
Now, why are we in trouble? Well, we fear you're going to come after us with torches and pitchforks. See, a great many of you swooned over this collection and some of you even went so far as to opine that his could have won the whole ballgame, but we...didn't like it at all.

In or Out: Kimberley Locke 2008-03-27 14:06:43 Kimberley Locke
wore a Christian Siriano original upon her return to the American Idol stage last night and we have opinions.
Actually, we're a little torn. It's not a style that we respond particularly well to. On the other hand, there are aspects of this dress that put us more firmly in the "Christian has a future" camp than ever before. For one, it's nice to see that he can design a Read more:Kimberley

Dao Jonesing 2008-03-29 10:25:54 We haven't checked in with Miss Chloe for a while, kittens. Let's rectify that. Craft Magazine recently went on a Chloe-guided tour of her new design studio. Check it (and note that it's appropriately painted in "Chloe Dao Blue") :
She's adorable, no? And what a fabulous space. Loving some of the designs that she showed too. Very pretty and girly.

Judging the Judges: Zac Posen Fall 2008 Collection 2008-03-28 15:13:57 Darlings, enough with these previous contestants (for now). Let's get ripping on the judges! Zac Posen
's Fall 2008 collection was described thusly by Style.com:
"The models wore pompoms on either side of their tight chignons, and many of the dresses were sheer enough to reveal spangled underwear and black garter belts. After-dark options edged out daywear by a wide margin, which was too bad, Read more:Judging

Judging the Judges: Monique Lhuillier Fall 2008 Collection 2008-04-01 11:50:28 Season 4 judge Monique
Lhuillier showed her Fall 2008 collection last month and Style.com was there:
"Lhuillier doesn't do excess. Everything must be just right. Therefore, heavy embellishment—richly embroidered velvet and all-over cabochon-jeweled embroidery—came in clean silhouettes. Alternatively, the exaggerated ruffle on a gold cocktail dress meant no embellishment."

In or Out: Debra Messing 2008-04-01 11:31:25 Debra Messing attends the 2008 USA Network UpFront at The Museum Of Modern Art in New York City in a dress from Donna Karan's Spring 2008 line:
This is just a big "Feh." It looks off-the-rack and it does nothing for her figure. Not that she actually has much of a figure, but she's always been somewhat painfully skinny and we don't think that's changed recently.
In fact,
Yep. It even made a Read more:Debra
