Christmas Gift Bag Centerpieces
2007-11-14 16:21:00
This is an inexpensive and fun way to decorate for the holidays. Find or re-use a small, holiday gift tote.  This will be your container.  Ideally, you would have a box just the right size to fit inside the bag.  This would ensure the bag retained its shape and it could act as a "tabletop" so you could place your items on top of it.   Otherwise, you can make your own support for the bag using a long strip of cardboard, taped at the ends so that it forms a square.   Fill the empty space inside your cardboard square with crumpled tissue paper, packing paper, or even newspaper if that's all you have.  Leave a few inches of space at the top.   Next, wrap a block of floral foam&#

When these are pulled they break apart with a loud `snap!’ Store bought bon bons with superior gifts inside can be very expensive, while the cheaper bons rarely have more than a paper hat and a plastic trinket. A few weeks before Christmas, start collecting the inner cardboard tubes from toilet paper and kitchen paper rolls. You can get packets of ready made `snappers’ from craft stores.  You will also need some bright crepe paper in the colors of your choice, Christmas wr
