Sunday morning
2006-11-26 02:56:53
Yeap it is Sunday again …I am fixing myself some toasts for breakfast to go with my herbal tea and then have about 40 minutes to get myself going - to work - that’s how me and my friend arranged our schedule.   Last week totally sucked – people arguing with me about old staff – telling me the same stupid bullshits I have been told over and over – what a bunch of morons. I don’t care much trough – after all I can do whatever I want – not what someone things I should… Quite a few new movies are in queue – good ones too, I may watch one tonight and write a review of it if I like it. I doubt that there will be time today for me to visit the pool, and will make sure to do that tomorrow – as I mentioned last time when I spoke about my swimming practices with a friends beside staying fit, you get to hang out with cool people in there – hmm hang out may be is not the write phrase, but anyone you know what I mean. By the way sometimes I get that feeling – lik

The Child I Never Was
2006-11-24 14:01:37
Shocking indeed – this movie shows a unique viewpoint of a boy/ young man- the storyline is full with possible answers to the question – why Jürgen committed the horrible crimes portrayed in the movie. I can hardly believe that someone will see this movie and fill find the guilt in the only boy himself – the parents and the surroundings of Jürgen played their role too to shape his mentality. “…sad glimpses of the stunted boy inside the beast” was written in what review – and that seems to me the most important point of the film – but I wonder if too many people will be able to see trough …” The movie was disturbing indeed, especially since it is based on a true story. Some of the reviews I went trough about this movie were pointing out that the fact that Jürgen doesn’t want to grow up is essential part of his “ill mentality “ – and I strongly disagree with such opinion- what he did – those killings are evil , but they can not be associate with such des

Burning a DVD
2006-11-15 19:36:20
These days I will be reinstalling my PC and in a way am using this thing to try out a lot of new software. Since I have been trying to back up some movies I have recorded with my camcorder I have tried several software solutions for copying DVD’s and burning video files to DVD. Starting with Easy DVD Shrink - I tried this program trying to shrink the size of a DVD movie ( AI ) from 9 to 4.5 GB. The program did not work as advertised and it took a hell of a time to complete the procedures. In comparison I was surprised with Apollo DVD Copy as it turned out to be very fast tool that does not make compromises with the quality of the copied DVD’s and can trully shrink a dual-layer (D9) movie into one D5 with all the Special Features, Menus, Subtitles & Languages. DVDFab Platinum did not work at all for me and I was not able to copy a singe DVD with it. The same is valid for DVD-Rebuilder which crewed up several CDs I have tried . Ashampoo Burning Studio is the resident soft

Will travel tommorow
2006-11-14 06:09:11
It is  my day off and I  was  getting ready to pay a visit to the local pool but I couldn’t find my Speedos , so I guess tomorrow morning I will have to jump in the train and travel about 300 km to get them , which is fine by me - at least I will get to see my cousins and friends …I may even travel an additional 100 km to visit my grandma , but am not so sure as of this moment if I will be able to do that . Traveling by train can be fun I guess … and I do have quite an experience of it  .

Twitter is updated again !
2006-11-12 22:05:01
This is the third time I am mentioning Twitter in my blog - more than a month ago I just mentioned its existence and then I wrote a separate Twitter post. Back then I wrote : “I would like to see a better method for determining who can read a message you send out of the friend you add” Then I wrote comment and posted it as the Anonymous at the Twitter`s blog in which I mentioned that I would love to see another feature of Twitter “a way to delate some of your previous updates from the public time line” I just logged to the site to update my status and noticed that this feature is already working - Gee guys you are making it harder for me to write anything else for Twitter than the core fact that it provides that sense of community and interactivity which many others fail to deliver. Karaoke
2006-11-11 13:08:32
Few days ago while browsing one of the Web 2.0 directories I stumbled upon the SingShot. It turned out to be one of the most entertaining sites I know. You can go there, register , choose a song and record your own version of it. SingShot is an excellent on-line singing community that one can easy develop an addiction for . I have always liked to sing and despite the fact that I do not have much talent I usually sing along while listening to my favorite vibes. Wide variety of artists are included and it is likely that you will find a song to sing along , trough I wish that there was a way to add or at least suggest new songs to be added. Other than that the interface is really cool - both the instrumental and a demo vocal parts can be heard - and as a result an ideal working karaoke machine ( even with the back vocals ) is available for free online. By now I have recorded quite a few songs and I have truly enjoyed the process of recording every single one of them( 13 in total at the ti

DDR
2006-11-10 18:47:34
It is 2.31 Am and I just came back from the Arcade nearby. Gosh what a night - great bowling game, few games at the ice hockey and the best of all the repaired Dance Dance Revolution by Konami which was broken wast time I checked. At first I wasn’t that good - last time I played on one was 2 years ago in Mallorca - so I sucked the first few games - but trough that is not very good soon I went 3 levels up and intend to play every night - so I will make sure to get better - first on that ” Silent Hill ” song - and then on the rest. What was even cooler - when I played the last game few Thai girls were watching me and they played after - so what you will say - well I do like Asian girl - especially Thai ones - probably due one girl in the school I had a crush on few years ago when I was studying in the states - and mind you at the place where I live now seeing Asian girls is a really rare thing - a lucky continences I guess . By the way I do want to buy a DDR game for ho

Declan Galbraith is back
2006-10-28 06:39:43
Yea- Declan is back - it was about time I guess and what a surprise was to see his new look and image at his web site. I even trough that I was on the wrong web site - and honestly it wasn’t` before I watched the song ” An angel ” at You tube until I convince myself that this is the same Declan Galbraith I know. The new web site looks quite good - it is only that the multimedia files that are supposed to be streaming ain`t working - but hopefully somebody will fix that soon. I like how ” An angel ” sounded - and am curious to hear his version of ” Tears in Heaven ” - unfortunately his new album will be released in December. Update : The official site is fixed or at least the audio section , so pretty much you can go there and listen to the songs from the upcoming album. Trough I liked his previous album , the new one is much much better - or I just like his voice more now and his choice of songs to perform is more to my taste.

Headphones
2006-10-17 08:15:00
There is a tradition which most of you probably know - from the first salary of a new job one should buy something that he wants a lot , but will not spare money to buy it otherwise. I have decided that from me - this something is going to be a nice pair of headphones - to use at home for movies and music …etc. Actually it was a movie that gave me an idea for that - in the movie there was one man who had an mp3 file and a girl he invited in his apartment - she actually heard that song she wanted from a superb headphones he had there and actually while watching that I imagined myself with such a headphones - having in mind that I am using Philips now - but not a very good quality ones. But anyway - here is the first model I am considering to buy : Sony Sony MDR-DS1000 The MDR-DS1000 is Sony’s all-new, special-edition, digital surround headphone system. Featuring Sony’s Virtual Phones Technology, this headphone system creates exciting home entertainment with crisp,

Godsend (2004)
2006-10-13 06:18:11
When you have several good actors, a producer who knows what should be done and an extremely interesting timeline – the good movie is guaranteed. After seeing “Godsend “, the movie took its well deserved place in my all time favorite titles list. While watching the movie I there were few moments when my heard miss a beat – the bathing scene is for sure one of them, but that it is just one amongst many. I happened to watch half of the movie on my notebook while waiting for a bus – and it was just a bit embracing watching my emotions. I did notice that the soundtrack was chosen very carefully. Soft piano music is probably the best for this kind of movies. And then there are those moments in which the music itself could make your hair stand on end. Robert De Niro is playing really good (as always); trough seeing him with a beard in the role of genius scientist is a bit unusual experience. Here is the place to mention that Cameron Bright truly amazed me with his fine performance

Good spirit that night
2006-10-12 07:52:14
Thursday, 9 pm – finally home, trough I wasn’t exactly working today I am tired from all that running around during the day. One good thing after the meeting which went on for good 3 hours things seem to be much clearer. I know when I will be working – 40 hours a week whish spread pretty flexible over the 5 working day – Saturday and Sunday included – but not Tuesday and Wednesday which will be the weekend for me. I am almost sure that I will be going to the swimming practices I was referring to above on Saturday morning before work ( I am starting at noon that day ) and will just have to think about  2 other days – 3 in a week seems just about right. As for tonight I have not planned anything really – hoped to have an Internet connection by now – but so it happened that I don’t – will have one tomorrow I guess when the company send the teach dudes to see what they have messed up today… Got few interesting remark today - from the guy I am going to work with – h

Sport
2006-10-11 07:50:16
It’s almost midnight – I am in that new apartment of mine and the headphones are blasting “YMCA” by Village People. This song is really cool - and it made me think of something …   I should resume swimming practices at the pool this year – the sooner the better: several reasons for that – it’s good for my health, it will break the routine and besides hanging out with people by the pool is usually pretty fun. The thing is that I will have to make myself a good schedule –the swimming pool is not that near (20 minutes by bus) and I will have to go there before work – very early in the morning or after work – but if I have to do it after work I may need to find another pool as this is closing down at 6.30 pm.               Will arrange something for sure …

A boring life?
2006-10-10 02:32:15
Sometimes I wonder what is better – living a boring life – like an ordinary person I guess or living a life full of events – some weird, some good, some bad, scary or totally fucked up. At first one could thing that the second variant is preferable – but since I am actually leaving such a life often think that it would be much easier to go with the flow. Then you may think – oh come one everyone is just like the others – there are no extraordinary events or people or whatever ….and yet it will be hard for me to agree with that. One of my favorite characters in “Rule of the Bone” a book by Russell Banks Chappy says:   “You will probably think I am making a lot of this up just to make me sound better than  I really am or smarter or even luckier but I `m not . Besides , a lot of things that have happened to me in my life so far which I will get to pretty soon make me sound evil or just plain dumb or the tragic victim of circumstances . Which I know doe

Birth (2004)
2006-10-07 14:30:15
Remember the movie “Sixth Sense “– well “Birth” is a bit like it, trough the plot is different of course- and so are the actors. In Six Sense we have two stars Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment, while in “Birth “we have Nicole Kidman and Cameron Bright ( who is actually a pretty good actor judging by his filmography ) . The acting was fine – and the only think that I didn’t like was the scene at the theater, when for like 30 seconds or more I was watching the face of Nicole Kidman – I got what the director was trying to emphasize in that scene , but 10 seconds or so would have been just enough. Birth is a good Mystery film, because it really keeps you interested in the story. It is full of symbolic of life and dead and has a lot of meaningful scenes. I was surprised to see that is has an R rating for sexuality – as there is just one sex scene, fairly short and honestly the movie would have been even better if it wasn’t in it. Th

Twitter
2006-10-07 10:17:57
It is just about time to blog about one of the coolest web sites out there: Twitter ! Actually I have already mentioned its existence in another post in this blog. Back then I did not know what Twitter is all about - but now since I have been using it for quite some time I feel a bit more confident using it . Its on my del.icio.us bookmark list and I just noticed that the site is gaining popularity - seeing that the URL has been saved by 165 people . Still chances are that you haven’t heard of Twitter so here is what I think you should know about it : Twitter is cool - with it you can be sending free SMS messages to people from around the globe. I have tried this feature with a friend of mine from Spain and everything works as a charm. All you have to do it to get yourself a twitter account and tell your friend to do the same - after that you will be sending free* text messages in no time (* free provided that you use the web interface ). I would like to see a better method for de

Just for fun
2006-10-06 18:08:23
You Are 60% Boyish and 40% Girlish You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes. You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don’t actively fight them. You’re just you. You don’t try to be what people expect you to be.   Gee …what a result. It is a good thing that I am more Boyish than Girlish since I am a boy – and I like the ending of the description – because it is so valid and I am going by it anyway – I am just me – not what someone expects me to be. How Boyish or Girlish Are You? Your Inner Child Is Naughty Like a child, you tend to discount social rules. It’s just too much fun to break the rules! You love trouble - and it seems that trouble loves you. And no matter what, you refuse to grow up!   One couldn’t describe me more correctly – trough these test are meaningless for the most parts I have to agree that for now

A cruel /dumb movie
2006-10-06 17:37:10
Would you believe it – a movie – dumb and cruel at the same time – so dumb full of clichés and the same time cruel as hell – enough to make me wanting to turn it off? And yet I just watched it – not the best way to spend a Friday night I guess. ( Its 2 am anyway – so its rather Saturday morning ) And yet while I am in mood for writing and movie talk – let’s mention that I haven’t watched a good one for quite some time. It is not always that easy – finding a good movie I mean – especially when purchasing it is out of question (no credit card available…etc). Well I still have to watch that Italian one – which is supposed to be good – trough I skipped trough it ….

Vienna Boys Choir Goes Pop
2006-10-01 06:52:57
Right now my multimedia player is busy entertaining me with the ” Vienna Boys Choir Goes Pop album ” . Trough I am into tremble music , I guess my taste is still not refined enough or on the opposite it is just very personal as I prefer to listen to more pop and rock sound than classy choir music - which is probably one of the reasons for me to like this specific album of the Vienna Boys Choir more than the other their releases and performances I have heard until now. My opinion is that the choir music would have been much more popular if there were more project with modern sound - not like disco and techno ( actually why not ) , but combined with some other style - like Libera did. It is hard to choose a favorite song - favorites will be easier : Supreme , All you need is love ,Nothing else matters and Get down !   reviews of the album Tags: vienna boys choir, treble, choir music

Fight with life
2006-09-30 06:27:00
Because I do not have much of experience - the company I am going to work for is going to arrange the new apartment I will be living in . I should have requested that long time ago . At the same time these days everything is quite chaotic - starting from my family and continuing with some legal issues , job descriptions …etc. It is not that I do not want to blog more often - but I doubt that there is any point in writing - things aren’t going well - trough at the same time it just wouldn’t be fare to blog only when good this are happening . Its sucks even more because I have no one to talk to - since my own parents can not understand my point and instead of making everything easier for me , they do the opposite - its seems pretty easy for them to say - you are all grown up now - deal with it yourself and then depart to Spain or some other part of the world leaving me to ” fight with the life “ And everyone is like don` t worry everything is going to be

A new place to stay
2006-09-16 08:32:15
After the discussion last week I was offered a job - managerial position in new marketing company. I will have to reallocate – and the nightmare of finding suitable housing lies ahead of me. Not that I want something special – small apartment in the downtown if possible will be very nice solution. And for about 300 euro a month I may be able to find something decent. An update - here

Web 2.0
2006-09-11 13:54:24
About a year ago it was not so common - but these days social media sites and projects using the Web 2 technology . Suddenly I found myself using interactive sites more and more frequently - I just did not know what was behind that Web 2 thing - not that I know that , but my own definition for it will be interactive and web based applications which target specific needs of their users - sounds complicated ….. Still I have been using Meebo , You Tube,Twitter …etc , but did not know that there are so many other cool things out there , until I found a directory of the Web 2 sites and here you go video sharing , audio sharing , podcast …an immense variety of useful sites was there waiting to be discovered. For one thing I will make sure to share the new discoveries with you - keeping track for myself as well. The Internet I know took a new different shape and so far I like it a lot ! Blog of the day
2006-09-10 11:16:20
I saw something cool today - see on the photo on the left. This is probably the first list on which SkyNet appears. Trough it is not exactly blog of the day as the title of this post states - it is still some achievement. The thing with my blog is that I have in mind not only the people like you who stumble on it - but and myself  - as I often read things I have written before - to find some forgotten link …or read some ideas I had. Hopefully you will be able to find something interesting or useful for yourself ! Tags: blog, skynet

Hellodeo - fun with a webcam
2006-09-09 14:50:21
Want to record and send a short video message - Hellodeo is the site from which you can do that. I found it today and at first didn’t believe that it can be as fast and efficient as it claimed to be - but to my surprise recording a short video message and sharing it with a friend took less then a minute. You can find two other great services ( sites ) from the same company - Twitter for something like instant messages for the web - I still have to try how this work from a mobile phone and Odeo Play which is something like You Tube , but for audio files( podcast) . Big Bravo to Odeo for offering such an interesting services for free ! Tags: Video message, webcam , odeo, OdeoPlay, Video Sharing, podcast

Writely- a web-based word processor
2006-09-08 11:30:47
You may already know about Writely , but in case you don’t - it is one of great Google tools( after its acquisition in 2006). Web based word processor doesn’t sound like much , but ones you get to work on some article or homework with a friend of colleague you will truly appreciate the usefulness of Writely. From what I read in some other blogs it seems that Writely used to be an invite only project - thankfully now everyone could join - as I did just few minutes ago. There is a good description of the advantages and the few limitation of Writely at Wikipedia. The latest news can be found at the Writely`s Blog at Blogspot.   Tags: Writely, web based, word processor, collaboration

Being busy
2006-09-05 10:52:31
I have been quite busy these days - the summer vacation is over and since the graduation day is just few weeks ahead the need to find a job appeared on the horizon. Luckily I have been reseived an offer to organize and run Marketing consulting company. As a matter of fact I have been preparing the investment proposal for this thing in the last week as most likely the presentation of the project before the investors will happen after 7 days or so… This offer came as a result of a previous consultation I gave to a friend of mine , who reccomended me - at the same time running your own company is a bit more serious - but I will hack it - if they only approve the project plan… Well whatever happens ….if not I will just move to Spain and try my luck there  ( :
