Duma 2007-03-23 15:37:37
Duma reminded me of one of my favorite books “Rules of the Bone ‘. It is a movie about friendship between a boy living in South Africa and a cheetah named Duma. At first the story line may seem a bit simple, but then you will notice all the serous issues Duma deals with. The role of the young Xan is played by Alexander Michaeletos – he has really cute English accent which made me seek some more information about him. I found out that he is leaving in a farm in South Africa like the character he plays so well in the movie – real you can almost sense his feelings and fears. Duma is also a fine example of a coming out of age movie – I would like to quote some of the dialogue:
Change, yeah. That’s what happens. All the time.
The little boy that left home……is not the little boy that is with me now, eh?
See? Change.
Duma is a movie you would enjoy watching with your younger friends and relatives – they will like it and learn many things from i
Close to Leo (2003) 2007-03-22 04:32:09 This movie was for a while in my collection, but it wasn’t before a friend of mine reminded me about it – until I decided that I should watch it. I did not know much about Close
to Leo – just that it was supposed to be excellent coming of age movie and it deals with a very serious topic – Aids.
Although the person who has aids – is Leo – the scenario wraps around the way in which Marcel (the youngest brother of Leo) coupes with the sickness of his relative. At first everyone is trying to hide the truth from Marcel – he is believed to be too young to understand the sickness of his brother – the fact that Leo is also a homosexual contributes to the unwillingness of the parents to discus the matter with the young Marcel. I know from experience that on many occasions most older people do not want to accept the fact that sometimes even when someone is young this does not automatically means that he will not be able to accept the reality and act in more adequate manner then e
Healthy life 2007-03-16 07:06:40 I am living very healthy these days – no wonder since I am going to the pool every night and walk to home after that. Also I rarely eat anything in the evenings – a salad may be , but nothing more ( as advised by some pals I met at the pool ) – the summer is getting closer – and so far my intentions are to spend every weekend camping on the seashore ( for which I shall be in a good shape ) – either alone or with someone – provided that I find someone as crazy as I am – to illustrate my meals :

End of the spear ( 2005) 2007-03-15 16:12:58 Chase Ellison(fan site) – just that name is enough for you to know that the movie you are going to watch will be a good one. And he is not the only star that shines amongst the actors in that production - Chad Allen who plays the role of a missioner (Chase plays as his son) acts amazingly and I truly enjoyed the father- son relationship they portrayed at the begging scenes. Here is a quote from the movie illustrating that relationship:
Nate Saint: Do you know how far away the sun is?
Young Steve Saint: 93 million miles.
Nate Saint: Do you know that that’s just a fraction of how much I love you?
The cinematography of the movie is really nice – there are many beautiful nature scenes most of which are very vivid. Most scenes have powerful messages hidden in them – m
essages about love, forgiveness and complete dedication.

Every night at the pool ( : 2007-03-07 06:15:46 I had a great time at the pool yesterday – every night after my practice I hang out with the people I meet by the pool everyday. The girls are scare – but this doesn’t matter much – it is just cool to hang out and talk with friends moving from the sauna to the steam bath then to the pool again and so on.
Few words about the regular visitors – 3 guys – in their thirties – trough much older then myself talking with them is always fun. One dude who comes to the pool with his daughter – who is probably 5 or 6, but swims really well. Then my favorite “froggy “boy (a name I made up) who always swims so fast – his sister and the whole family – they have a family membership card I guess. A German lady with her boyfriend – these are the regulars, there are always other people – either guest of the I am swimming at, or new members – even some one timers .
Then I walk home – I can always get a taxi, but it is only 15 minutes walk and I get to listen to Libera and
The one thing I really hate ! 2007-02-22 08:50:15 I was planning to write this post at the morning – but was not able to. Now at 16.39 I am writing it, but it will not look like the one I planed to write. It was going to be about the stories I read before going to bed each night and the dreams inspired by them – a positive post over all. Now I can only say that if there is something I hate more than anything in this world this is the uncertainty – as my mother says – bad outcome sometimes can me better than constant hell caused by that same uncertainty I hate so much – I couldn’t agree more.
The way to deal with all that – if I only knew, thankfully I have made some new friends and have few projects in mind which main purpose is to fill that emptiness in me right now – and to allow me do to something I am passionate about – this blog itself is such a thing, but I guess it is just not enough.
So I will visit the pool like I do everyday and will spend time in the sauna, even trough I doubt that this will be able to rel
Thinking while in the pool 2007-02-20 14:36:27 Just came back from the Pool - it is 10.30 pm since I am swimming at the evening and usually spend about 3 or 4 hours hanging out at the spa center. I noticed an interesting thing - when I am swimming I tend to think about different things , or persons - like yesterday I was rememering things that have happened with a friend of mine and was thinking about that over and over again - I must have made about 1 km without even realising it. There is a new project I may start too - like a hobby I guess - new web site to be precise - but this is still an indea under development and for now I can only tell you this. Below is a pic of the pool I swim at :
Jesus Camp 2007-02-18 17:06:29 Watching this movie made me really, really sick – it is like a horrible fairly tale or even worse that that – because what thee movie showed is actually happening – in the US and in other countries. I am watching how the kids are being manipulated and wonder why there is not anyone there with some brain in his mind – to stop all that madness. How can these people do that – religion – playing with the feelings of the people, with their beliefs? Organizing weird shows – getting the politic involved with the religion and vise versa. Honestly I am glad that this is not happening near me – but it will soon – just few months ago there was an American organization advertising a movie of Jesus
for kids – and after seeing this movie I feel really shared that someone is trying to plan those filthy weeds . There are normal churches, and normal people who are Christians or not – have believes and live by them, but do not manipulate other people – especially kids – th
I want one of those 2007-02-17 03:01:29
I like tech toys and gadgets a lot - and spent a lot of money to get them . Trough the web site Turbo Gadgets I found one cool web store - it seems that I won`t be able to order anything from there - no credit card and all - but still is cool to see the innovative cool gadgets they have - such as USB turntable , USB Plasma Ball or the coolest one a Project Keyboard .
They have many cool things there - oh and my birtday is the 5th of April - just in case ( :
Visit the web store: I want one of those
Mysterious Skin 2007-02-09 05:58:33 I have to admit that if I first didn’t stumble on that movie on IMDb I wound have not even know about it. It is almost 2 am and I just took the DVD out of my computer. Have to admit that this is one of the most brilliant films I have ever watched.
The movie shows the growth of two boys – in parallel - they both were abused as kids from they Baseball coach and are striving to find a way to cope with the past. Whatever happened back then seems to be shaping their personality – but in a different way. When I think about it – it is only natural that people are different and, being so they perceive different events and situation in their own unique way.
Mysterious skin – you may wonder why they picked such a name for that movie, but I am sure that by the time the last credits roll you will have some idea. What would be the life of the boys, if things happened differently? That is the question you have to answer for yourself.
There are quite a few sex scenes, which I didn&rsquo
You won`t remember me 2007-02-08 01:22:36 Someone sent me a poem - I like it - it is kind of cool getting such e-mails from anonymous people - I guess . Here is it :
You won`t remember me
Seems impossible to me
Through the years and tender times
You should walk away so free
Leave me here behind the lines
Just the image of your face
Is like a memory made of glass
It can shatter in the wake
When I feel you rushing past
Time takes all wounds seriously
You won’t remember me
You won’t remember me
Though I kept watch all through the night I didn’t sleep
You won’t remember me
You won’t remember me
In the turning of a head
Like a dream that ends in dawn
Wanna curl you in my bed
Just one time before you’re gone
Time takes all wounds seriously you won’t remember me you won’t remember me
Though I kept watch all through the night I didn’t sleep you won’t remember me you won’t remember me
So onward like a soldier I go
I’ll find you someday but you won’t know m

How to send an anonymous e-mail 2007-02-07 03:19:54 I have been looking for ways to send e-mail without revealing my identity. Everyone has right to protect his/her privacy – and so do I. Many articles are available on the net and from them I have learned that the best way to send anonymous
e-mails and the more secure one is stand alone program – at the same time the web based solutions are not that good – trough they can do the job when you are in a hurry.
I found this site: http://www.mysecretgreetings.com/ and so far I think that it does a great job if you want to be the secret admirer of someone. Hushmail.com is another popular solution but I still have to check it – as I have read few critics about the way it handles e-mails.
Song for a Raggy Boy (2003) 2007-01-31 14:02:06 I watched this movie with tears in my eyes. No other movie until know was able to make me feel such pain – almost physical just from watching the story that unfolds on the screen. With risk to repeat myself I must note that this was probably the hardest movie to watch from all I have seen until the moment.
I made few notes when it started – there were about the interesting characters, the song of Libera I noticed – but now I can not really write about that. Shocking, painful, cruel, realistic to the core – I can go on like this for a long time. The fact that “Song for a raggy boy” is based on a true story contributes to the powerful effect this movie has on its viewers.
The acting is quite good as well – so good that I felt like I knew some of the characters in person. The young actors were really convincing and I felt Delaney and Mercier almost like my friends. But let me tell you a bit more about the movie – it is set in a reformatory school run by the catholi
