AMEN MICHAEL BARONE
2007-10-23 06:10:00
October 22, 2007We're Not in 2006 AnymoreBy Michael BaroneThings are not working out as Democratic congressional leaders expected. For the first eight months of this year, they struggled to find some way to shut down the American military effort in Iraq. They took it for granted that we were stuck in a quagmire in Iraq, with continuous high casualties and very little to show for them. They pressed hard to get the Republican votes they needed to block a filibuster in the Senate and were cheered when some Republicans, like John Warner, seemed to lean their way. They worked hard over the August recess to pressure Republican House members to break ranks and vote with them. But the Republicans mostly held fast. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell skillfully parried their thrusts in the Senate. House Minority Leader John Boehner persuaded most House Republicans to hang on. Then, over the summer, the news out of Iraq started to get better.Mainstream media types tend to think that, while ris

POLITICANS COMMIT 'INDIRECT' ARSON
2007-10-22 11:52:00
SOME CALIFORNIA FIRES BELIEVED TO BE STARTED BY ILLEGAL ALIEN CAMPS Nothing could be more unacceptable Jimmy Z - How long will citizens allow this to go on? We hear that illegal alien encampments are responsible for starting some of the fires that are now plaguing southern California. Never mind that these half-wit morons were burning camp fires during the most dangerous possible time. Forget the fact that these poor, impoverished fools are from a country where they were never taught a damn thing. It’s not their fault. I know you’re aghast as you read that, but think about it. It is truly not their fault. Responsibility for the fires begun by illegal aliens lies with the politicians who have allowed this to go on (and on and on and on). From President Bush to our stupid, ineffective and incredibly misguided Senators Boxer and Feinstein, to Governor Schwartzen-whozits, to the state representatives and right down to the Mayor of Lost Angeles. They are all responsible.

IT'S OFFICIAL: TROUBLE IN LEFTWINGER LAND
2007-10-22 04:40:00
We now have had 2 elections and the results send a clear message. What the Dems in Washington are peddling, isn't selling on Main Street. In Massachusetts, the wife of former Senator Paul Tsongas eeked out a win in what should have been a very safe district for the Dems. Now, Republican Bobby Jindal has won Louisiana's governorship by getting over 50% in a 12 person field! Even during the Republican wave of 2001-2004, when we won the White House twice, 232 House seats, 55 Senate seats and 29 Governorships, we couldn't win Louisiana.Winning there now shows that the the Democrats have once again overplayed their hands and a new Republican wave is building.

19 TONS OF EXPLOSIVES FOUND IN IRAQ
2007-10-20 12:54:00
19 tons of explosives found in IraqBAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. forces in Iraq discovered nearly 19 tons of explosives in a weapons cache north of Baghdad this week, one of the biggest finds of its kind, the U.S. military said on Saturday. The cache was discovered west of Tarmiya, some 30 km (19 miles) northwest of the capital Baghdad, in Salahuddin province where Sunni Arab militants have a strong presence. The find was made up of 41,000 lbs of ammonium nitrate and 35 mortar bombs. U.S. forces destroyed the cache."It's a crippling blow against the enemy, it's really huge," said Peggy Kageleiry, a spokeswoman for U.S. forces in northern Iraq. Car and truck bombs are used on almost a daily basis by militants in Iraqis targeting U.S. and Iraqi security forces and civilians. In the deadliest attack this year, 520 people were killed in August when two suicide bombers drove two garbage trucks packed with explosives into two villages in northwestern Iraq.

PISCA-WHAT?
2007-10-19 17:07:00
Tell someone you live in Piscataway and the inevitable response you get is "pisca-what?" Yet, the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers have really put the small town with the funny name on the map.Last year, the Scarlet Knight football team upset the #3 ranked Louisville Cardinals on a nationally televised Thursday night game. Then, not to be outdone, the Lady Knights Basketball team progressed all the way to the National Championship game before losing to annual powerhouse Tennessee. In the aftermath of that loss, radio broadcaster Don Imus was fired after referring to the Lady Knights as "Nappy Headed ho's". The media coverage was so absurd and over the top that it prompted our own Jimmy Z to record this hilarious cult classic. In January, the best High School football players in the Country gathered for the US Army All-American game and Offensive Lineman Anthony Davis, of the 3 time defending New Jersey State champion Piscataway Chiefs, was named to the team as the best High School offensive l

Bob Eberle of GOPUSA on Stark's Hysteria
2007-10-19 09:05:00
'Stark ' Raving Mad Posted by Bobby Eberle October 19, 2007 at 6:07 am In today's society, especially in the political arena, we have seen the steady erosion of civility, manners, and common courtesy. More and more rhetoric is directed as personal attacks, and too often, the comments made by Democrats get completely overlooked in the media. Gen. Petraeus is a "liar." Rush Limbaugh is "on drugs." We have heard it all. But Thursday's comments from Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) take political "discourse" to a new low. His comments on the floor of the U.S. House in which he said that troops are dying in Iraq for President Bush's amusement are outrageous and have no place in politics. As noted in Calif. Rep Hit on War Comments, "The outburst from Rep. Pete Stark as the House debated a children's health bill drew immediate condemnation from Republicans who demanded he retract it."Stark, an 18-term liberal from California is notorious for his comments, but this one is beyon

SHOCKING CONSPIRACY TO BUILD UNITED 93 MEMORIAL TO HONOR THE GUTTER RELIGION OF ISLAM Here at A Newt One and American Truth Warriors, we are very slow to buy into conspiracy theories, but this one seems very credible. In fact, it is credible to the point where one United 93 father refuses to allow his hero son's name to be inscribed on the United 93 Memorial if the current proposed design goes forth. You simply will not believe what author Alec Rawls will reveal on our show tonight.Don't miss this important breaking news, on America's Truth Surge, A Newt One's American Truth Warriors. 7 PM Eastern. HIP HOP ISN'T FLYING IN THE NFL
2007-10-18 12:29:00
BRILLIANT OP-ED PIECE FROM FOX SPORTS The author, Jason Whitlock, is himself black A shame I have to point that out, but if this guy wasn’t black, liberals would call him a racist. Read on and you’ll understand why I said that. –JZ New Truth: Hip Hop Culture is Hurting NFL Jason Whitlock, Fox Sports - You get one NFL Truth today. Watching Chad Johnson and Larry Johnson undermine their respective head coaches, Marvin Lewis and Herm Edwards, on Sunday gave me a singular focus, forced me to contemplate an uncomfortable truth. African-American football players caught up in the rebellion and buffoonery of hip hop culture have given NFL owners and coaches a justifiable reason to whiten their rosters. That will be the legacy left by Chad, Larry and Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, Terrell Owens, Michael Vick and all the other football bojanglers. In terms of opportunity for American-born black athletes, they're going to leave the game in far worse shape than they found

A RESPONSE TO A LISTENER E-MAIL

Jason from Pennsauken, NJ writes;I listened to the show called american truth warriors on october 9th. on the show you debated a congressman from vermont I think. I don't understand whyyou don't think that the person who gets the most votes should win. if we are a democracy then why shouldn't every vote count the same. also, i dont understandwhy you had to insult the man by calling him a liar and a communist.First of all, thank you for your question. The debate was with a State Representative, not a congressman. The difference is that a State Representative represents a district, to the State, whereas a Congressman represents a district to the Federal Government. On to your first question. The reason I don't ascribe to the one person-one vote system is that it is not how our country and our Constitution was founded. You see, Jason, the debate we are having now was held 200+ years ago. There were people that believed that a State's representation should be based solely on population

REPUBLICANS POSSIBLY POISED TO PICK UP LOUISIANA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
2007-10-18 09:11:00
On the heels of the near win in Massachusetts' 5th congressional district, Republicans are putting the head on in Louisiana. In the October 20th (Saturday) open Gubernatorial primary, Republican Bobby Jindal can win outright, and become the next Governor, if he can get 50% of the vote. His current double digit lead suggests that he might be able to.If Jindal does win (by reaching 50%), he will capture the Governorship of an important swing state and reduce the majority of the Democrats from 29-21 to 28-22. This could aid in the GOP winning back majority status over the next 4 years.Perhaps more significantly, (when combined with the narrow defeat in Mass. 5) it will signal that the democratic wave is over.If Jindal wins, but fails to reach 50%, he will be forced into a runoff with the person who finishes 2nd.

LEFT WING NY TIMES FALLING APART
2007-10-18 00:27:00
THIS IS AMAZING, SWEET NEWSMorgan Stanley Sells Entire New York Times Stake (Update3) By Leon Lazaroff and Jeff Kearns Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Morgan Stanley, the second-biggest shareholder in New York Times Co., sold its entire 7.3 percent stake today, according to a person briefed on the transaction, sending the stock to its lowest in more than 10 years. The person declined to be identified because Morgan Stanley hasn't made the sale public yet. Traders with knowledge of the transaction said Merrill Lynch & Co. brokered a $183 million block trade of 10 million New York Times shares this morning. Hassan Elmasry, managing director of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, unsuccessfully challenged the Sulzberger family's control of New York Times Co. through super-voti

NARROW TSONGAS WIN A CLEAR SIGN OF TROUBLE FOR LEFTWINGERS
2007-10-17 04:04:00
Niki Tsongas (wife of the late Paul Tsongas) won Massachusetts's 5th district by a narrow 6 points over Republican Jim Ogonowski. (Ogonowski's brother was the pilot of American Airlines flight 11 which hit the north tower of the World Trade Center on 9/11/01).The race caught national attention when a Survey USA poll showed that Ogonowsky had closed to within 9 in this seemingly ultra-safe district, against a well financed opponent with high name recognition.Though the press will downplay it, the closeness of the victory will send panic waves through democratic circles. The race was to complete the term of Democrat Marty Meehen. Tsongas will have to defend the seat next year. This is the first tangible evidence of serious trouble with the Dems House majority.

QUOTE OF THE DAY (IDIOTIC)

‘[Hillary Clinton] gives herself the ability to be in her own skin.’ --Maya Angelo

THE WINDOW IS STARTING TO OPEN
2007-10-16 05:02:00
UPDATE: Tsongas/Ogonowski race could be much closer than previously thought.A Survey USA Poll, commissioned through a local radio station has this race in the single digits. Democrats are concerned that their base is demoralized with the inability of the Pelosi/Reid congress to stop the Iraq war. *LOL*Listen to this NPR audio and you can hear why a little bit of panic is entering Massacusetts 5.Tsongas has outspent Ogonowski by thousands in a district Bush lost by 16 points.A failure to win by double digits must be considered a warning for Democrats. If they were to lose, it would be a disaster. If you followed election 2006, from about a year out, the Democratic chances to take congress gradually evolved from "no way in hell" to "absolute certainty". The first phase of that process was a rapid rise in the unfavorable numbers of both the Republican led congress at-large and of certain, specific leaders. The second phase was a slow, gradual rise in the number of competitive races. It was

JOHN MCCAIN JUST MIGHT BE A VERY STRONG CHOICE FOR VP
2007-10-15 16:25:00
Rudy Guiliani has been crowing for months that he is the guy who matches up best in an electoral match with Hillary. I have never believed that. I have believed, since the start, that Rudy has been living off of name recognition and the fallacy that Rudy's strong leadership after 9/11 means that the war on terror creds should be ceded to him.The latest Rasmussen polling shows that I was right (something which happens with astounding frequency). In the latest polls, Rudy has gained among Republicans while McCain has lost ground. However, in the General election polling, it is Rudy (and the most of the rest of the GOP field that is flagging) while McCain is surging. In fact, negatives ratings have risen above 40% for all the major Presidential candidates-Republican or Democrat- save 2;Fred Thompson and John McCain.Thompson obviously has much more room to grow as he is much less known than McCain.I believe Thompson, not McCain, will be the nominee.Yet, you can argue the fact that-right n

THOMPSON BOUNCES BACK AFTER THE DEBATE
2007-10-15 11:26:00
Fred Thompson's support was flagging a bit nationaly among Republicans due to his really not stirring things up as much as some had hoped- at least not yet. Some speculation was about regarding who needed to (and who did) win the debate. For me, the only real measuring stick of who won a political debate is what the numbers reflect in the next round of polling. Take the last poll in which all sampling came before the debate, and the first poll in which all sampling followed the debate. It was by that formula that it was clear that Kerry/Edwards won debate #1 in 2004 but, just as clearly, lost 2, 3 and 4.According to the what do the polls say? method of debate scoring, the winner of last Tuesday's debate was...... *drum roll*Fred Thompson. Prior to the debate, Fred was in a solid second place, 10 points behind Guiliani in the national polling, according to Rasmussen Reports. Now, after a six point bounce, he finds himself still in a solid second, but now only six points back. Rudy also r

Al-Qaeda In Iraq Reported Crippled
2007-10-15 09:16:00
Many Officials, However, Warn Of Its ResilienceBy Thomas E. Ricks and Karen DeYoungWashington Post Staff WritersMonday, October 15, 2007; A01The U.S. military believes it has dealt devastating and perhaps irreversible blows to al-Qaeda in Iraq in recent months, leading some generals to advocate a declaration of victory over the group, which the Bush administration has long described as the most lethal U.S. adversary in Iraq. But as the White House and its military commanders plan the next phase of the war, other officials have cautioned against taking what they see as a premature step that could create strategic and political difficulties for the United States. Such a declaration could fuel criticism that the Iraq conflict has become a civil war in which U.S. combat forces should not be involved. At the same time, the intelligence community, and some in the military itself, worry about underestimating an enemy that has shown great resilience in the past."I think it would be premature at

ORIGINAL SMEAR LETTER UP FOR BIDS ON EBAY
2007-10-12 12:44:00
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE US MARINE CORPS – LAW ENFORCEMENT FOUNDATION Go to ebay.com and search ‘Reid Letter’ or get the link on RushLimbaugh.com From ebay.com: When "Dingy Harry" Reid and the U.S. Senate turned away from the business of the nation to instead smear a private citizen, forty-one of them sent a letter demanding the "repudiation" of their inaccurate interpretation of Rush Limbaugh's comments about Jesse Al-Zaid (a.k.a. Jesse MacBeth) and other "phony soldiers" who falsify their service. This letter was delivered to Mark Mays of Clear Channel Communications, Rush Limbaugh's syndication partner, and widely quoted in the Drive-By Media. Up for auction is the original letter signed by 41 Democrat senators. This historic document may well represent the first time in the history of America that this large a group of U.S. senators attempted to demonize a private citizen by lying about his views. As such, it is a priceless memen

Who is Bill Kelle?
2007-10-11 13:57:00
BILL KELLER’S LIVE PRAYER IS A GENUINE BROADCAST OASIS Standing strong for the Truth Jimmy Z, Lost Angeles - I have quoted Pastor and television host Bill Keller many times. A Newt One sees itself as an unofficial partner in the work Mr. Keller is called to do. We have relayed some of his daily devotionals and made them posts on our website. We have posted links to audio clips culled from his passionate current events issue-oriented messages. His viewpoints are based upon the Truth of God’s Word, the Bible. I figure it is time I told you a little bit about who Keller is and what he is up to. Let me say at this point that I am not writing to our conservative friends are not Christians. We are not looking to ostracize you, but I am writing this specifically to those of you who are Christians and believe that Christianity is the single source of this nation’s hope for the future. Pastor Keller has become a friend over the last year. I became aware of his ministry w

THE WILLING BLIND
2007-10-27 09:47:00
Alec Rawls, writer of 'Crescent of Betrayal' was on our Blog Talk Radio program "American Truth Warriors" last night and spoke of the incredible degree of willful blindness necessary to allow the 9/11 memorial of United 93 to go forth with it's current design. It is so much the truth about Liberalism. Not merely blind, but willingly so! So eager to trade the truth for a lie, so passionate in their embrace of the absurd, at the cost of rejecting common sense. The revel in it. Liberals wear their ignorance and stupidity as badges of honor. They guard their willful darkness jealously and will not allow even the most reasoned argument in, lest the light infiltrate their shadowy existence.I can give a hundred examples. Name an issue and I'll show you how liberals can look squarely at one thing and swear that it is another. Let's try, shall we?Abortion. A fetus has all of the things that identify a human being. It has eyes, ears, nose, mouth, arms, legs, heart, lungs, brain....all of it.

STORIES OF ANTI-CHRISTIAN BIGOTRY KEEP COMING
2007-10-26 15:42:00
Federal government bans flag-folding recitations following one complaint It is time for Christians to say enough is enough In the latest attack on Christianity, the U.S. government has banned the flag-folding recitations at all 125 national cemeteries. The banning came as the result of one complaint! The situation is similar to that in which one person removed prayer from schools. This article from The Associated Press explains the situation: Complaints about religious content have led to a ban on flag-folding recitations by Veterans Administration employees and volunteers at all national cemeteries. At thousands of military burials, VA volunteers have folded the American flag 13 times and recited the significance of each fold to survivors. The 11th fold glorifies "the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” The 12th glorifies "God the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost." Citing a need for uniformity, the National Cemetery Administration has prohibited unpaid VA volu

MANDITORY READING

This is a very long post. Please do not let it’s length discourage you from reading. WE ARE FORTUNATE THAT THE DEMOCRATS ARE BOLD ENOUGH TO TELL US ABOUT THIS UP FRONT! From RushLimbaugh.com: Charles Rangel finally has announced his mother of all tax hikes, the largest single tax increase in American history, over $1 trillion. I have been studying the way the Drive-By Media has been reporting this today. Folks, it is journalistic malpractice. Actually, his politics on this are pretty shrewd, given he knows he has buddies in the Drive-By Media. The way they're spinning this is that Rangel has to get rid of the alternative minimum tax, because it's creaming people it was never intended to cream. It's supposed to cream the rich. Now it's screaming the middle class. There's a lesson in this, folks, by the way. All these things aimed at the rich are eventually going to get to you. They're always about you in the first place. So he's going to get rid of that. People are goi

"I think it's time to bring the firefighters home. I think it's time to bring the firefighters out of there – it's just too dangerous," Limbaugh said on his top-rated program, noting the front-line responders were in grave danger. "They're in there on a false premise anyway, that they can put out the fire. We can't win against the fire, folks, just like we can't win in Iraq. So if the liberals want to politicize this, then I ask them to be consistent and admit defeat to the fire, admit we can't beat the fire and get these brave firefighters out of there ... ."
