Warcraft Riches Number 2 on Google! 2007-10-15 11:31:57 I’m so excited! I’ve blogged just recently about my quest to get in the top 10 on Google
with my Squidoo Lens on Derek Beachler’s Warcraft
Riches Guide for World of Warcraft.
It’s never easy to get into the top 10 of Google, there is link building and keyword optimization and just plain luck involved. I can’t claim to be an expert on this subject but I was determined to get there and for right now, I’m only behind the Marketing Master himself, Derek Beachler.
Will this translate into profit?? Who knows, but right now I’m totally psyched to be ranked.
First my Blog, PlanetTopTen: World of Warcraft Info, got a pagerank and now, it’s listed SECOND on Google!!
What did I do? I’m going to spend the day analyzing what I did to get ranked so high and enjoy it while it lasts. However, I took these steps:

I mean if you’ve been paying attention over the last year or so, you’ve no doubt noticed that Squidoo have been ranking higher and higher in the search results of Google and here it appeared to have happened to me.
Just for fun, I started to check my traffic stats. I received about 20 visits to my Warcraft Riches link.
Next, I checked my Clickbank stats and lo and behold, I made a sale!! This started my quest to push Warcraft Rich

Squidoo Lens Template 2007-11-15 08:50:03 Is there such a thing? I’ve been researching Squidoo
for sometime now and I have found various schools of thought on the subject.
It used to be that you used the YouTube module, the Flickr module and some text and you would get decent juice. Since the Google Slap in July, more is needed now.
I have found that, just like everything else with Google, that you need good content with good keyword placement in your content to get the juice. Nothing new there.
So what is the best Squidoo Lens template?
Seems as if 3+ text modules definitely helps. Remember that images with good image names also play a role in getting good SEO. That applies to Squidoo as much as it would a “normal” webpage. Adding images to your Squidoo lens is very easy. You can just used the upload option that will put a simple image thumbnail to the top right of your module or you can use the HTML available and embed an image link. Remember to use the “title” and “alt” attr
