Secret recipe #3 comes from another Aussie singer, the amazing Kylie Minogue . Her Body Language album was widely considered a commercial dissapointment for the star, at it did not reach the sales levels it’s predecessor Fever did. The album is condidered a favourite among her fans though, and one of the best songs to come out of the recording sessions, “My Image Unlimited”, didn’t even make the final cut (what are those label execs smoking?). The nominees for the 35th annual American Music Awards were announced last Tuesday, and there aren’t any real surprises as to who made the nominations. Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Daughtry, and Linkin Park lead with 3 nominations each. For the first time in AMA history, members of the public will be able to vote for nominated artists online. Winners were previously selected by a national survey of some 20,000 people. The award show will be broadcast live by ABC on November 18. ATF Agents Search T.I.’s Home

Rapper T.I.’s home in East Point was searched on Saturday by the Federal Bureau of Alcohol,  Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. It is unclear what they were looking for,  but they spent most of the day at the rapper’s home. T.I. was set to appear at the BET Hip Hop Awards that day, and although he was noticeably absent from the red carpet, he made it to the center where the show was to be taped.

How excited Delta Goodrem must be right now. “Eyes on Me”, a song she wrote for her third album, Delta, didn’t make the final cut but has now been picked up by Canadian superstar Celine Dion for her new album, Taking Chances. If the song is chosen as a single, it would boost Delta’s profile as a songwriter and would also mean extra cash in her account. It may even help her finally break the US market, and we all know how much Delta would love that.

 I remember very well something Chris Martin said in an interview, “We are not going to release another album until we create the best album in the world.” Well, it looks like the best album in the world is on it’s way to our ears, as Coldplay are in the final stages of the release. The follow up to 2005’s X&Y was recorded in America and Barcelona, and should be hitting shelves soon. Let’s hope Chris Martin is right about what he said. I sure hope he is.

Wrong single choices has probably made Holly not think about music. There was talk of new material on her official site but nothing has happened. Holly recently said “No one can make any money. It was a really tough slog and I had a good go at it, but it was difficult. You put in so much effort and put in so many long hours for not much return. I was making all my money from endorsements and appearances, but I didn’t make that much from the actual record sales. I think everyone is suffering in the music industry. It wasn’t just me. Jennifer Lopez’s Brave has failed to make it to the Top Ten in the U.S. According to the Billboard,  it debuted at #12, only selling 53,000 copies - ouch! Even LeAnn Rimes and Kid Rock beat her by selling 74,000 (#4) and 170,000 (#1) respectively. I’m just surprised because all her previous albums, even her Spanish release, charted in the top ten.
