Kamelot - March Of Mephisto
2007-10-09 04:28:48
Kamelot’s (American power metal band) March Of Mephisto is a great metal song for sure. Strong guitar riffs together with march drums sounds a perfect start. The song continues with clear vocals until the beginning of growls of Sagrath. There is a slower part in the middle of the song after which the song continues interesting untill the end.

In Flames - Take This Life
2007-10-08 09:28:26
I never get bored with the drums and guitar riffs of In Flames . This “Take This Life” is a great combination of interesting rythm, strong guitar riffs as well as screaming and clear vocals. In Flames continues the good work. Listen to the first 40 seconds. That’s awesome!

In Flames - Crawl Through Knives
2007-10-08 09:15:40
I must say In Flames is a band that has been the most impressive crew lately. Swedish metal scene is rising, there are many good bands in our neighbouring country today. In Flames plays melodic death metal and I keep on banging my head. The band was founded 1990 when Jesper Strömblad wanted to create new kind of music. Their first album “Lunar Strain” became a underground success. Their world-wide succes began with the album The Jester Race. In Flames has played with big names such as Dream Theater, Linkin Park, Soulfly, Slayer and Testament. This has helped the band to get great attention. Now the latest album “Come Clarity” has sold well in Scandinavia and North-America. Here’s a song with kick-ass riffs. Sounds good!

Korpiklaani - Wooden Pints
2007-10-05 06:56:22
This world is strage. There are so weird bands out there. It just keeps me wondering.. Korpiklaani is one of those bands that make me either laugh or cry. Don’t know, but I gotta say their videos are at least funny. I am not a fan of this kind of music and I know there are fans out there, some even fanatic, and I respect all your flavours. This is not my type of music. Man look at that guy with a violin. That’s a funny technique to play a violin.

Altaria - Unchain The Rain
2007-10-05 06:47:23
Altaria is a Finnish power metal band founded 2000. This “Unchain The Rain” is from their album “Divinity”. Altaria sounds much like Sonata Arctica, which is just fine for me. This band sounds good power metal.

Delain - Frozen
2007-10-05 06:22:18
Delain is a Dutch band founded by Martijn Westerholt. Delain plays symphonic metal and their first album is called Lucidity. There are many featuring artists, such as Marco Hietala (Nightwish, Tarot) and Liv Kristine (Leave’s Eyes). Sounds pretty good, yeah?

Sonata Arctica - Paid In Full
2007-10-05 06:21:20
I like Sonata Arctica’s “fast-forward” music, but look at that keyboard. I don’t know but that hand-held keyboard looks a bit funny to me. Reminds me some 80’s “fashion-bands” such as Duran Duran.. Hey, don’t get me wrong. I enjoy Sonata Arctica and I rank them high. They are good. That red keyboard is just a bit funny to me.

Off Topic Post - Fonzie Saves The Day
2007-10-16 15:45:35
Heh.. you know, some folks say it is good to post something off-topic every now and then. Let me try.. Do you remember who was Fonzie? He was the leather-jacket cool dude in Happy Days long long time ago. Let me ask.. Can anyone in this universe be as cool as Fonzie? Man I keep on laughing on these videos.. Check out this video in which Fonzie saves the day (again).

Apocalyptica - Nothing Else Matters
2007-10-16 15:30:18
This one is pretty old for most of us but I would like to post it because there must be people who have not heard of Apocalyptica. It is a Finnish metal band who play the cellos. They studied classical music and started playing Metallica covers together for fun. Soon they got audience and they became popular in Finland. Nowadays they are quite popular out there and they continuously get more and more attention. Apocalyptica has shown that you can play metal music with the cellos and become famous without any guitar. These guys are unique and good. This music video is a cover of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters. Listen to it. It is just awesome, especially the beginning notes of the song.

Northern Kings - We Don’t Need Another Hero (cover)
2007-10-15 07:09:14
Northern Kings will release their debut album by the end of this month. Here is “We Don’t Need Another Here” from the upcoming album. This is a cover song, originally sang by Tina Turner. Northern Kings is a group of “A-class” heavy metal singers from Finland, namely Marco Hietala (Nightwish, Tarot), Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica), Jarkko Ahola (Teräsbetoni) and Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto (Charon). My opinnion is that this is one of the best metal cover songs for long time. Very well done and sounds great. Notice our October competition in which you can win this upcoming album!!

Mokoma - Punainen Kukko
2007-10-15 02:46:20
Listening to Sonic Syndicate did not give me much. I need something different. It’s headbanging time. Here’s an old classic “Punainen Kukko” from Mokoma. Good old Finnish trash metal..

Sonic Syndicate - Denied
2007-10-15 02:34:22
Ok, I heard about Sonic Syndicate a couple of days ago decided to post a video “Denied” with few comments. Sonic Syndiacte is a Swedish group playing melodic death metal music. Yeah, yet another Swedish metal band Swedish bands are doing great nowadays. Sonic Syndiacte is getting popular, they play well and their music videos are well done. Check out this video “Denied”. I find it just good metal music but it does not impress me too much. They sound too much like In Flames. I would get more interested if they had something unique in their sound. Oh, and those trendy haircuts and don’t provide any credibility for me. The only true headbanger seems to be the girl with bass.

Soilwork - Exile
2007-10-14 07:00:54
I listen to various metal genres but melodic death metal is the one blowing minds. It just sounds so damn good. For some reason Swedish death metal bands are good, and one of them is Soilwork. Swedish metal music is getting better and better. Soilwork is a band who should get a bit more attention. Their music sounds good with aggressive guitar work and screaming combined with melodic parts with clear vocals. Soilwork rocks and that’s it!

Sparzanza - Going Down
2007-10-13 07:00:11
Swedish band Sparzanza has released new material after four years of silence. The opening song “Going Down” from the album “Banisher Of The Light” really kicks some ass. It sounds strong and it has great bass and drum parts. It sounds somehow fresh hard rock. The whole album is a good package of good rock. I recommend buying this one. Rock!

The 69 Eyes - Never Say Die
2007-10-21 04:00:42
The 69 Eyes is an interesting rock band from Finland. They are considered as sleaze rock and glam rock band, not forgeting gothic rock and gothic metal. They are quite popular in Finland and a little bit abroad as well. In 2005 they played almost 100 gigs in 15 countries which I consider pretty good. Their first tour in US was done 2006. The 69 Eyes co-operates with Bam Margera, as it can be seen in this video. I hope this co-operation will provide them more attention. I like this band and their music. It would be nice to see them becoming international stars.

Apocalyptica - Eurovision 2007
2007-10-20 11:00:50
Apocalyptica played in the Eurovision 2007 song contest which was held in Finland last spring. A couple of days ago I posted two videos of Apocalyptica, so let’s continue the same direction. This video was filmed during the opening of the Eurovision song contest. It is pretty funny to see such headbanging in the Eurovision song contest. Actually guys remind me Amon Amarth I am glad to see metal music entering the most boring contest on Earth, the Eurovision contest. It makes only good for the contest. Buy Apocalyptica Albums, clothing and other stuff in Headbanger’s shop!

Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams (live)
2007-10-20 04:00:30
Saturday morning glory.. Let’s go back in time, back to 80’s. What was the best way to drive your parents nuts on those days? By listening to Iron Maiden damn loud. Yeah, right. Parents are parents. They never understand good music I am an old fart nowadays, I’ve got kids. Our oldest son is already 13 years old (holy shit! I’m old!) and he enjoys 50 cent and that kind of stuff. I mean that rap stuff and so on. I listen to various music genres but rap is just something I have never understood. I’ve got nothing against it but it just doesn’t kick my ass. So, I keep on giving my daily treatment to our son. I call it “death metal therapy”. As he listens to 50-what-ever-cents in upstairs with volume 5, I listen to Arch Enemy in downstairs with volume 10. And in a car.. always death metal. Sometimes a bit of trash metal. That’s the way we go.. Back to the topic. As a kid I was a huge fan of Iron Maiden . In my opinnion this is one of the

Ozzy Osbourne Interviewed By Henry Rollins
2007-10-19 06:14:59
This is nothing new but I find it good, and therefore you see it here now. Here is Ozzy Osbourne interviewed by Henry Rollins . It is pretty interesting because we see Ozzy here in a bit different way. This is an insightful interview in which Ozzy discusses much about the past. The discussion after six minutes is funny. Man, Ozzy has lived through a really amazing life. I really wonder that he is still alive. As Henry says, those stories are really legendary. Check it out, it’s great! Darren Webb - Relinquishing Control
2007-10-19 05:59:51
This is not metal music so let’s call this post as an off-topic post. Man, I don’t know who this guy is and if he plays in any band, but I must post this video. I came across with this video already a year ago while surfing in YouTube. Well, what can I say? Darren rocks! He is absolutely awesome! Darren, I give all the points I can ever give. The simplicity of this song and Darren’s unique and charismatic voice make this a nice combination. Do you know Darren? Leave a comment if you know anything about him, especially if Darren has released any albums.

Sentenced - Excuse Me While I Kill Myself
2007-10-18 18:15:34
Heh.. when I feel like putting a bullet in my head, I sing this song from Sentenced .. just kidding, man. Sentenced was a band (they are already burried) who wrote suicide lyrics. They were good at putting the northern misery and sorrow into their music. Yeah, we Finns are somehow downhearted people, at least when compared to some other cultures such as latin. Anyhow, Sentenced made music that kicks some asses. I rank them pretty high and I listen to them quite often. Check out their albums and other stuff from our e-shop. I recommend you “The Funeral Album”, “Crimson”, “Story” and “Buried Alive” DVD. They are diamonds. Buy Sentenced albums in Headbanger’s shop!.

Kurt Cobain - The Last 48 Hours (part 1)
2007-10-18 17:30:55
For those who are interested in Nirvana and Kurt Cobain , here’s an interesting video talking about the last 48 hours of Kurt. I am not going to say a word of what really happened to Kurt. That is an endless discussion and I don’t want to join it. For me Kurt was a great artist who wrote lyrics that I like. Kurt and Nirvana played a big role in my youth and even today I listen to Nirvana every now and then. They made music that lasts decades. This is the first part of the document. Check out the rest from Youtube by yourself.

This dude is great, I mean GREAT! I just love piano version s of classic metal songs and this one is almost on the top of my list. This guy is damn good with his piano and he just plays Metallica so well. I would like to get a CD full of piano versions of classic metal songs, played by some pro pianist. Is there any?
