Meditation to Heal Ourselves & the World
2007-10-03 14:20:34
Dahn Yoga’s meditation practise itself is the key to developing the mindfulness that lets us recognize the nuances of our lives. By becoming more awar of what we are actually doing during meditatioin - being more mindful of our bodies and minds - we can in turn be more aware in our everyday lives, even when we are not meditating. By honing our skills in meditation, we become fully aware of the subtle changes that are a natural part of our lives. Embracing these changes allows us to be warm, funny, joyful, radiant, relaxed, and loving. Our improved attitude in turn affects our friends, family, and even strangers, and it leaves us in a aplce where healing begins - for ourselves and the world. ~Dahn Yoga Basics by Ilchi Lee

Tuition Painters, How To Choose A Perfect Paint Color
2007-10-03 05:23:59
Choosing Your Color Consider going to your local Lowes or Home depot or both and get as many color swatches as possible for color you are thinking about. If you are interested in a sky blue get as many blue swatches as they have just so you have as many to choose from as possible. You could get your paint mixed right there if you know what color you want or you might want to take the swatch to a professional paint center like Sherwin Williams or Iowa Paint and have them match the color. That way you get the exact color you want in a professional quality paint. If you’ll be painting an interior wall then most likely an acrylic latex paint will be the best choice. It makes for easy cleanup and is much less messy than an oil based paint. Brush Selection You are going to need a good quality brush for cutting in the ceilings and and trim. Most professional painters prefer a quality Purdy brand 3″ brush. You can find one at your local paint or hardware store for around $12. This

Dahn Yoga Counsels For beginners.
2007-10-03 02:09:24
Dahn Yoga’s Counsels 1. Many of us have probably worked with a counselor when we have found ourselves confused and in need of advice and someone to listen. Maybe we were unsure about our career or we needed help coping with an unexpected family situation. Maybe we needed help dealing with something more serious. 2.Even those of us who have never had need of a counselor may imagine themselves in a situation that exceeds our current ability to cope with it effectively. What must it be like to be the one people turn to help them with issues they cannot handle on their own? The counselors we spoke with have each practiced Dahn for varying lengths of time, yet all agree that Dahn has helped them become more effective at helping their clients better handle their lives. This increased capacity to support others stems directly from their increased ability to help themselves. 3.Ilchi Lee is a social services counselor who currently works with low-income adults helping them to prepare f

History Of The Gold And Silver Coins, Northwest Territorial Mint
2007-10-03 00:50:59
People in the older times do not use any form of currency to buy things they need. They just trade their goods at the market place and exchange things they have for things they want or need. As time pass, people began to learn the value of currency. They started to use money as instrument to purchase goods and services. Because gold has always been considered a valuable commodity, they minted gold coins as their first currency.

Find comfort & strength
2007-10-02 14:30:35
Sit down comfort ably. As you control your breathing, having your mind watch your body. And tell yourself, “It’s okay.” Then your soul will find rest, and your body, too, will find comfort and new strength . ~Ilchi Lee

The Mind
2007-10-02 14:24:20
We live with many thoughts, emotions, and habits, but at the same time we have other eyes, another mind capable of watching all these things. Those who practise self-cultivation find that mind; they live with it and they die with it. ~Ilchi Lee

Dahnmudo
2007-10-02 14:10:18
Mastery Pull back but do not shrink Spread out but do not explode Upper body as soft as the spread of mountains Lower body as strong as a forest of syncamores The power created by softness and strength Movement and stillness Yin and yang Flows deep into bones The subtle harmony of bends and curves Of the body reaching toward heaven Of the body rooted in the earth Unnoticed, the body disappears The mind disappears And even I, filled with energy, disappear Only clear, bright world remains Reflected in the tranquility. ~Ilchi Lee

Meridian Stretching
2007-10-02 03:17:05
Dahn Yoga teaches meridian stretching - these are warm-up exercises to prepare the body for collecting energy. There are hundreds of meridian stretching exercises. All movements relax the upper body ad let the center of the energy come down into the ower abdomen (Dahn-jon). They also focus on limbering up the pelvis, which is like a bowl that collects energy, and the hip joints, which are like energy faucets. Meridian stretching is also utilized as cool down and finishing exercise. ~Dahn Yoga Basics by Ilchi Lee

2007-10-02 02:54:41
Abdominal clapping is a simple but effective method for strengthening the lower abdomen, especially the Dahn-jon. Spread your feet shoulder-width apart and bend your knees slightly. 2. Lengthen and relax your spine. Relax your shoulders, neck and arms. 3. Point your toes slightly inward adn feel a slight tightening of the lower abdomen. 4. Rythmically strike the lower abdomen area with both palms.

Dahn Mu - energy dance
2007-10-01 19:35:26
“Dahn” means “energy”. “Mu” means “dance”. Dahn-mu is a form of dancing with the natural flow of energy, called “the dance of Ki”. In my dahn yoga classes, I have developed an increase awareness of Ki energy and find myself moving gracefully and fully into Dahn Mu.

I choose to manifest healing
2007-10-01 19:31:31
Ilchi Lee shares that our brain sometimes can’t distinguish between reality and imagination. For example, imagine you are taking a bite of a very sour lemon…although you actually didnt’ eat the lemon, you salivate. As you can see from this experience, oru thoughts and emotions directly impact our bodies. That is why it is important to focus your mind intently on what you would like to manifest in the world.  I try to always have awareness of my thoughts and emotions and appreciate my power to manifest whatever I intend in the world. Peace and healing is what I choose to manifest for all.

Jung-Ki
2007-10-01 19:18:40
There are 3 types of energy in the body. “Jung-Ki” is the energy that you obtain by eating and breathing. “Jung-Ki” is generated with our consciousness - by the choices we make.  As I train in Dahnhak, I am able to make much better choices in my life, improving the health of my body, mind & spirit.
