Well, Phillip's getting in on the action now too.Since he's at the doctor right now getting his cast off from his surgery, I thought I'd share this little conversation that took place in the van a few days ago.... Phillip: (yelling over the singing coming from the back seat and holding up his cast) I can't wait to get this thing off in a couple of days. Me: You're telling me. I'm interested to see what the scar will look like too. Phillip: Oh, you think it'll leave a scar? Me: Ummmm......yes, you'll have a scar. Phillip: (a few minutes later) So you really think I'll have a scar? Me: Yes Honey, I'm pretty sure.I love that guy. I'm sure he was just trying to make me laugh and didn't really think he wouldn't have a scar (Right, Honey?!?).
Kissed and Made Up 2007-11-29 10:18:00 So remember last week when I threw the dvr out the window? Well, we have kissed and made up....I'm back in love.When you have to be awake to catch puke every ten minutes for four hours in the wee hours of the morning (times two out of three girls = two nights in a row!), the dvr is my best friend. No infomercial watching here. I caught up on Dancing with the Stars. I'm so sad that Jenny didn't make it to the finals, but LOVE that Helio won. How cute is he?!?Then I caught up on ER, Survivor, and Friday Night Lights too. Mara and I were watching Kid Nation last night in between the puke catching, and I think I have a future reality tv addict on my hands...guess she gets that honestly though.Ok, I'd better get back to the fourteen loads of puke infested laundry waiting on me! Awake? 2007-12-23 13:32:00 Had to tell this cute story before Christmas....We got our Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago right after church. Since it was nap time, I told the girls that the tree needed to rest before we decorated it. As soon as Emily came down stairs from her nap she looked at me and said, "Is the tree awake, Mommy?"I said, "Yep it's awake, we can decorate it!"
sNOw WAY!!! 2008-03-10 18:58:00 The weather men we predicting it, but I thought NO WAY we're getting snow. Well, I ate my words cause not only did we get snow this weekend, but 7 inches in Memphis. 7 inches! I still can't believe it. The girls played outside in it until their toes went numb.Look at those chunky cheeks...Our first snow angels....And oh yes, plenty of snow ball fights!

It's called 'Big Truths for Little Kids' by Susan and Richie Hunt.I love the idea of a methodized (catechism) way of teaching my children about our beliefs, but don't want it to be something that they just memorize and spit back by rote.I want my girls to have a Christian worldview...to know that the way we live is because of how we believe.This book teaches catechism questions (Who made you? God. What else did God make? God made all things. Why did God make you and all things? For His glory. etc....), but then has a practical story related to the questions. It really does a great job of translating the learning of facts to a worldview.The targe
Better late than never. 2008-02-19 15:40:00 I just realized that I never blogged about our Valentine's craft. Well, like the title says...better late than never.I took all of our broken crayons and cut them up in little pieces. Then the girls put the pieces in a silicon chocolate mold. Three minutes in the oven and about twenty minutes to cool....and voila, heart-shaped crayons!

Living up to the name. 2008-02-12 10:24:00 The Three-Girl circus went to the circus!The girls were almost as mesmerized as I was. I still can't believe all of the action. There was always something happening and multiple things happening at the same time.Clowns, tigers, elephants, horses, dogs, trapeze, etc.....all action, all the time. Can you tell I'm still amazed at it?It got me thinking about the name of my blog. Yep, it is definitely named correctly. There is always something happening at our house and multiple things happening at the same time. Here is a short video of my 'circus'. Works for me Wednesday: Online Shopping Edition 2008-02-06 06:49:00 I LOVE to shop online. In fact, if I could do my weekly grocery shopping online, I'd probably never have to actually go shopping. Here are just a few of my favorites.First of all, I love the bargains website Want Not. Mir posts all kinds of fabulous deals several times a day. I usually cave when there's a great toy deal, then I put it up in our 'toy closet'. When we're invited to birthday parties, I just get a toy from the toy closet. And I also go to it for the girls' birthdays and Christmas.Then of course there's Ebay. Everybody knows about ebay, but this is where I get all of the girls' clothes. I love Hanna Andersson and Gymboree, but can't afford either of their brand new prices. I have bought an outfit on ebay for $20... all three girls have worn it.
