The pumpkins used to be orange. 2007-10-31 22:34:00 We had so much fun painting pumpkins this year. Becca painted for a long time before she tried to eat the paint brush!Man, we are serious about our painting...look at that concentration.Mara put the cutest little smiley face on hers.Oh and I almost forgot, here's a picture of the finished product.....Now, as long as it doesn't rain and wash off all of the washable paint, we're good!

with a side of blood! You just take hotdogs and cut them in strips and then they get all curly when you boil them. It was super easy and the girls LOVED it!Check it out....eeeeewwwww! Help: Dawdling Toddler 2007-11-07 07:49:00 It's backwards day again at Rocks in my Dryer's Works for me Wednesday. That means instead of offering advice, I ask for advice. So here comes a desperate momma asking for help...Emily is THE worst dawdler. It only takes her twenty minutes to get from the van, up the ten stairs, and in the door. She can put her shoes on in a record fifteen minutes, and watch out...pottying in ten minutes feels like lightening speed! It drives me CRAZY! If I tell her to hurry up, she just goes slower. Every once in a while I can get her moving a little faster with "I'll race you." or "Here comes the tickle bug." But those things are working less and less.Got any other ideas? Please help before this momma goes nuts!

Acrylic photo frames work for me. 2007-11-13 21:40:00 Why do babies and toddlers love to push buttons on the television? I guess the same reason they like the remote.It never fails... I get all of the girls settled watching a video that they've all agreed on (which is a miracle). I walk out of the room, and 30 seconds later the big girls are screaming because Becca has pushed a button and messed everything up.While at Wal-Mart several weeks ago, I was looking for a frame when the little cheap acrylic frames caught my eye. I thought, "That would be perfect to keep Becca's little fingers off of the tv buttons."Well, I'm happy to report that they are working fabulously. See all of the fingerprints on the frame below....Each fingerprint is one less scream from the big girls. Oh, and it also keeps random toys out of the VCR slot (not that that has ever happens at the circus house)!I just had to show the next picture too. It took about ten takes to get the above picture. Mara's cooking the turkey! 2007-11-22 07:52:00 First you take a "little" turkey, about "three" pounds. You sprinkle it with "sprinkles" and rub it with "chocolate" (that's my girl!). Then put it in the oven on "75" degrees, and cook it for "five minutes." The Price is STILL Right 2007-11-17 11:49:00 Phillip had a little surgery on his wrist yesterday (I guess it was only 'little' because it wasn't my wrist!) so I had several hours to sit in a waiting room knitting and watching something on tv besides Dora or Backyardigans.So while knitting and waiting, The Price Is Right
came on the six tvs in the waiting room. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but used to watch it every now and then when we had the cheap cable.I've not watched it since Bob Barker retired. I was really skeptical thinking they probably should have just ended the show when he left instead of trying to replace him.Well I must say, I was wrong. And if you know me...you know how hard it is for me to say that!Drew Carey was fabulous! He was just so real...jumping up and down with the contestants that won and chuckling at the ones who bid $1199 right after the person before them bid $1200. I also love that he calls the models by name.Hmmm, another show to add to the dvr....just what I need!

Whoever was holding the pumpkin told everyone what they were thankful for.The girls loved passing around the pumpkin and they were so cute telling everyone what they were thankful for.... Did you know.... 2007-12-02 21:26:00 ...that Charlie Brown was southern?We were watching the Charlie Brown Christmas last night. Charlie Brown was directing the Christmas pageant. When he got to the first rehearsal he said, "Ok y'all, it's time to get started."My head snapped around.....he totally said y'all!Charles Schultz was from Minnesota, so I'm not sure where it came from.Maybe it was just a little Christmas present from Charlie Brown to all of us Southerners!
