The top prize in Spain’s “El Gordo” Christmas lottery - said to be the world’s biggest in terms of payouts - was widely distributed this year.Ticket holders in the town of Almazan, north-central Spain, came top with 390m euros (£262m; $514m).

Adam Griffiths, who works at Border Foam was at home just about to order a Chinese takeaway on late Saturday night when he remembered he had not checked his numbers. Well here we are Monday 15th January 2007 already, another weekend over and only 3 days until Wednesday 18th Januarys uk national lotto midweek draw. A busy old weekend for myself, lets start with the football, my team Bolton wanderers only got a nil nil draw, but hey one point is better than none, alas chelsea,Man united and liverpool all won, and we have dropped to fifth in the league table.
