Great Tip Award! - Word of the Year 2007-10-01 10:10:00 TipJunkie.com is proud to present a 'Great
Tip Award
' to Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa for 'Word of the Year'. Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2008?one little word. Michelle encouraged us to take the challenge by Alli Edwards:"A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow. I want to introduce you to the idea that a single word can be a catalyst for enriching your life as well as your scrapbook layouts.Last year I began a tradition of choosing one word for myself each January - a word that I can focus on, mediate on, and reflect upon as I go about my daily life. Last year my word was something I wanted to bring into my life in a more tangible way. My word was play."I first saw this wonderful idea on Kristi's post when she chose Stretch as her word for 2007. I felt like this was such a positive and simple way to create what we want for oursel

Submitted Tip by Stephanie 2007-09-20 00:45:00 I want to thank Stephanie
over at Hair Today for submitting her tip on Organizing Little Girl Hair Accessories. This is truly inspiring and easy to keep up!Stephanie purchased an over-the-door shoe holder from Wally's (the cheap one, it is the only one that is see through) and then separated the accessories by color. She then used two baggies, one for the clips and one for the ribbons. Depending on what she's doing with hair that day, she just pulls out the proper baggies and it makes putting them away easier as well.Elastics posed another problem. Stephanie hated rummaging through a huge tote of elastics. Buy them pre-sorted and then put them into a sectioned tackle box did the trick.I want to thank Stephanie for submitting her tip on organizing little girl hair accessories! What a great idea! You can also check out her Hair Blog for pictures of fun hair do's.

Play Time! Newborns 2007-09-06 08:14:00 Play Time! Newborns (Birth to 6 Months)Try playing some of the little games to help simulate and teach your newborn. There are lot more games, print out these and many more for free at ExecutiveHomemaker.com.Dancing RattleHow to play: Gently bounce a colorful rattle back and forth across your baby’s field of vision. What it teaches: Tracking and visual acuity. Babies can focus on a moving object when they are only a few weeks old. By two months, they may follow it with their eyes. By three months, they’ll wave their fists to try to touch the item. And at the ripe old age of four months, they may be ready to grasp and shake the rattle all by themselves. This activity encourages all of these efforts. Note: If your little one averts her eyes during this game, she’s had enough stimulation for now. Try again later.
