is far from the ordinary….she exemplifies how thinking can take someone a long way…
I am Ruji Rahman, aged 20, a student in London studying Biomedical Science. It was interesting to meet a new Muslim over the summer who attended some of my lectures at university and is studying in the same year. In fact I was more impressed by Abi's change in almost everything, particularly her pre-negative views about Islam.
It cannot be gone unnoticed the negative image presented about Islam specifically Islam's treatment of women which has been rampant in the media creating an 'Islamophobia' in society. I thought it would be interesting to interview Abi Lee-Carter who in the midst of all propaganda has warmly embraced Islam.

What is a nasheed?
Nasheed
s are Islamicly Orientated songs. They have become popular, since they have a good message, and deal with a variety of issues. The lyrics have a positive message, and the nasheed has a meaning for the listener.
Nasheeds are spreading around all over the world, as there are many nasheed concerts, e.g. in UK (England, Scotland), Canada, America. People admire the value of the lyrics, and the positive message.
There are many Nasheed artists.

This is a story about a teacher who told each of her students to bring a clear plastic bag and a sack of potatoes to school. The teacher suggested to her pupils that for every person they had refused to forgive in their life's experience, they were to take a potato, and write on it the name and date, and put it in the plastic bag. The teacher then told each of her students to carry this bag with them on their shoulders and on their backs everywhere they went for one week, keeping the bag next to them at all times even beside their beds at night and by their desk throughout the school day, basically 24-hours a day. Radio Free Europe said Friday, March 12, that Islam was introduced to Czechs by immigrants from Muslim countries who come to live and study in this Central European country.
Vladimir Sanka, the head of the Islamic Center, based in the Czech capital, Prague, is one of several hundred new reverts to Islam throughout the country and one of some 20,000 Muslims nationwide.
The long ago predominantly atheist and Roman Catholic country came in touch with Islam only 15 years ago after the end of communist rule, the Radio said.

It was one of those stunningly cold January evenings, when it got so frigid it felt someone had left ice cubes in my shoes and forgot to tell me. But the weather deterred neither myself nor the thousands of others who'd gathered for a Palestine peace march. When we'd yelled till our voices had withered to nothing - to remain so for a while - and then we wandered the frozen wasteland (Shala, Soraya and I), until finally some nice Pakistani driver offered us a (free) ride all the way uptown (he was dropping me off at my apartment and then taking the sisters to meet their other sister.
