More Way to Waste My Money 2007-09-28 15:28:40 I had found this Stock Market Forum called Stock Market Cats and begin reading post on there trying to pick up tips on how to play the stock Market. On August 7, 2007, I read a PR that headline read, “Obee’s Franchise Systems, Inc. Announces Area Developer Agreement For Minnesota “ which sounded like good news to me so I placed a buy order for 1300 shares at 0.038 per share or $49.40 and watched the price start rising and placed another buy order for another 1300 shares at a limit order of 0.04, but by the time that order reached the other end of the internet, the price had started dropping and it got filled at 0.039 or $50.70… then for the rest of the day I watched the price steadily fall.
And fall they did almost all day long on the 9th, and again on the 10th where I decided to cut my loses and placed a sell order, for the 2600 shares I was holding, at 0.029 or $75.40 for a loss of $24.70.

A Little Background on Me 2007-09-25 22:59:38 Today, I will go into a little background on me. I am a simple country boy from down in the swamps of Louisiana. I am 54 years old and still haven’t really figured out what I want to be when I grow up.
I graduated High School in 1971 and went off to college at Mississippi State University where I majored in chasing coeds. Seriously, I saw my first see through blouse on my first day at State took a right turn on my education and slid downhill from there. Needless to say, it didn’t take the University long to basically ask me not to come back.
I have always had a pretty high mechanical aptitude so I came home and went to work sweeping floors for the local Caterpillar dealer. Over the next three years I went from sweeping floors to being their lab technician operating the atomic absorption spectrophotometry lab.
My first wife wanted to be a veterinarian, so after those three years, we packed up and moved to Baton Rouge where she could attend the School of Veterinarian Medicine

How to make a Huge Profit on a Stock 2007-10-04 16:17:31 To Good to be True?
I don’t if it is true or not, but I heard today that when a company is having a Reverse Split of their shares that there was a minimum that a stock holder could be left with and that number is 100 shares.
I know there are a percentage of readers here that have nothing to do with the stock game and may not understand what I am talking about, so I will try to explain.
You have probably heard of a stock split which is where the company split the stock say 2 shares for every share you own. Say you have 100 shares of a stock at a price of $1.00 a share and they split 2 for 1. After the split you would own 200 shares, but the price would be $.50 a share. This does a couple thing for the company. It will double the number shares which the company has available to sale, and it will also lower the price per share which may help people to be able to afford to buy shares.
Now in a Reverse Split it works the other way around. Say you own 1000 shares at $1.00 a share, Read more:Stock
10 Commandments of OTC/OTCBB Trading 2007-10-03 00:23:36 My friend Titan, over at Top Gun Trading
, Inc., gave me some advice not long ago that he called the 10 commandments of the Top Gun Trading Style. I have come to believe that he is very close to being right on the money with this advise, and have decided to pass it right on along to you.
First thing I want to say is that not all the companies listed on the “Pink Sheets are crooked, there are some companies that use the pink sheet listing to raise needed money to help spring their business forward, but there seems to be a lot of distance between finding them.
Now for the list of the Commandments
:
Ten Commandments of the Top Gun Trading Philosophy
1. Thou Shalt Assume Any OTC/OTC BB Company Is A Scam
As I mentioned earlier, not every company is a scam, but there are more than enough that are to make investing in the penny market extremely risky. Therefore, you are well advised to simply assume that every one of them are a scam until proved that it isn’t.
2. Thou Sh

What is the EDGAR Database? 2007-10-16 06:52:23 EDGAR is the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) database which provides free public access to corporate information. EDGAR provides a way to quickly research a company’s operations and financial information by reviewing registration statements, prospectuses and the periodically filed reports.
The federal securities laws require all but the smallest public companies to file reports with the SEC - including companies with 500 or more investors and $10 million or more in assets, companies that list their securities on a major national exchange (such as the New York Stock Exchange or the Nasdaq Stock Market), and companies whose securities are quoted on the OTC Bulletin Board. (this does not include the pink sheets as they are a list of companies which fail to file their reports) These form include

SEC Forms — What are they? 2007-10-15 07:13:46 I was going to write about EDGAR and the SEC Forms
today, but got a little carried away with the Forms…. EDGAR database is up for tomorrow. Today I have tried to cover the most useful SEC forms which investors need to be aware of and what they are, what they cover, and when they should be filed. They include Form 3, 4, 5, 8-k, 10-Q and 10-K.
Form 10-K
Provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s business and financial condition — includes audited financial statements — but don’t confuse the Form 10-k with the “annual report to shareholders”, which is a state-of-the-company report, including an opening letter from the Chief Executive Officer, financial data, results of continuing operations, market segment information, new product plans, subsidiary activities, and research and development activities on future programs. The Form 10-K is usually much more detailed information about the company’s financial condition.

How Do You Investigate a Company? 2007-10-14 15:55:30 Due diligence! How can you do your research into a company? Investing in any company is risky business, but if you are going to be trading in the penny market you have to make yourself knowledgeable about each company to avoid the scam, rip offs, pump and dumps, and other schemes to separate you from your money.
When it come to large Corporations or companies listed on the bigger board, due diligence is not that hard to accomplish. These companies are forced by government regulations to file (supposedly) accurate reports with the SEC; who makes the filings publicly available. This is not necessarily the case with penny stock companies.
Getting Information About Companies
Let look at ways to gather information about larger companies. Some of the smaller (yes even some penny stock) companies can be investigated the same way.

The Beginners’ Guide to Understanding Financial Statements 2007-10-13 03:58:23 Most people are lost upon viewing a financial statement, but it is not really that hard to read the basic parts of a financial statement. Lets see if we can’t gain a little confidence to look over a set of financial statements… and even understand what it is saying.
There are four main parts to financial statements, the balance sheet, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of shareholders’ equity. The income statements show how much money a company made and spent over a period of time. Cash flow statements show the exchange of money between a company and the outside world also over a period of time. The statement of shareholders’ equity shows changes in the interests of the company’s shareholders.
Lets break these four parts down and take a closer look.
Balance Sheets
A balance sheet provides detailed information about a company’s “assets”, “liabilities” and “shareholders’ equity.”

A Beginners’ Guide to Investing 2007-10-12 01:02:49 According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the first step is to:
1. Define your Goals
You’ll need a road map, a financial plan. To get started on your plan, you’ll need to ask yourself what are the things you want to save and invest for.
Make a list and then think about which goals are the most important to you. List your most important goals first.
Decide how long you want to give yourself to meet each specific goal, because when you save or invest you’ll need to find a savings or investment option that fits your time frame for meeting each goal.
2. Make A Financial Plan
Sit down and take an honest look at your entire financial situation. You can never take a journey without knowing where you’re starting from, and a journey to financial security is no different.
You’ll need to figure out on paper your current situation— what you own and what you owe. You’ll be creating a “net worth statement.” On one side of the page, list what you own. Read more:Guide

What is the OTC BB & the “Pink Sheets”? 2007-10-11 11:09:31 The OTC BB (Over The Counter Bulletin Board) is a medium of exchange where buyers and sellers of penny stocks can trade their shares. Penny stocks are not traded on a stock exchange, but are traded in the over-the-counter (OTC) market. One portion of the OTC market is the National Market System (NMS) of the NASDAQ (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation) System. NASDAQ does not include any penny stocks. The OTC BB quotation service displays real-time quotes, last-sale prices, and volume information for over 6,500 OTC equities. An OTC equity security generally is any equity that is not listed or traded on Nasdaq or a national securities exchange.
The OTC BB limits stock quotations on the OTC BB to companies which are current in their SEC filings. The SEC becoming involved with the OTC BB has greatly legitimized the OTC BB. Stock which fall off the OTC BB are then listed on the “Pink Sheets
”, which is often thought of as the penny stock purgatory. The “

What Is A Penny Stock? 2007-10-08 14:03:26 A penny stock is usually defined as a stock that is traded for under $5.00 a share on th OTC BB (Over The Counter Bulletin Board) Penny
stocks, sometime referred to as micro-cap or junior stocks, are often extremely volatile. Penny Stock
s can actually trade from fractions of a penny to (on extremely rare occurrences) a few hundred dollars a share.
With penny stocks drastic upswings and downturns in price per share are often the norm rather than the exception. These fluctuations in share price are to be expected in both intra-day trading as well as long term holding. Along with the increased volatility, penny stocks on a whole are subject to more stock swaps, consolidations, business changes, and even name changes.
Why the Interest in Penny Stock

In penny stocks, with their volatility, great sums of money can and have been made by investor willing to take the risk. There are practically unlimited potential for the growth of wealth… and this is extremely attractive to OT
Trading Green 2007-10-20 11:17:08 Let’s take the time today to talk about “Green
” Trading
, and today I am not specifically talking about the profit of a trade, rather the impact on our environment.
Being descended from Native Americans, I find myself concerned about environmental conditions. I don’t want to go over board on the issue, but would like for all people to keep in mind that the earth can only withstand so much abuse before one of a couple things will happen; either the earth will reject what is causing its destruction, or it will be destroyed — at least to the point of sustaining life.
The Earth can become a Mars like planet no longer capable of sustaining life due to any of several factors, or can reach a point where weather conditions change to a point where much of life is made so uncomfortable it gives up on trying to survive. Basically the Earth could reach such a condition where the causes of its pending destruction can no longer continue to thrive, and in doing so b
Free — Learn a Winning Stock Trading Method 2007-10-19 18:19:17 I have said before that I could be called a bottom feeder because I search for stocks which I believe have reached very close to as low as they can go before I invest my money into them. This has become a very successful method of trading for me as of late, thanks to being taken under the wing of Mr. Titan and Mav5×5 over at Top Gun Trading
. Their method of trading is not the only way I want to know how to trade, but they have led me, along with anyone else that will listen to them, from being a rather consistent losing trader to a winner a lot more often than not. Hey, over the last week as the Dow Jones Industrial Average has been in steady decline, the NASDAQ Composite, SPSUPX (S&P Composite 1500 Index), and the NYSE Composite having ups and mostly downs with a huge decline today, we have made money without shorting one single stock.
I think these Gentlemen will teach anyone that will listen to them. They are totally against how new people to the stock market are usual Read more:Winning

5 Lessons Learned About Stock Trading 2007-10-18 18:26:44 For me, one of the most frustrating aspects of investing has been having all my “playing money” tied up in one or two plays and ending up having to hold those stocks for a longer period of time than expected waiting for the price increase I am certain is coming.
I guess you would call me a bottom feeder, I have learned to scan a huge number of stock looking for stock at or below their 52 week lowest price, Their RSI (Relative Strength Index) at or below a certain number (25), the MFI (Money Flow Index) at or below a certain level (30), and of course since I like the risk/potential profit gain to be as high as possible the close price below $.50 per share. Then I examine the charts visually looking at average volume, to determine liquidity, and the basic pattern of the candle sticks before I decide to add several more technical indicators in an attempt to determine an entry point into a stock I feel has reached very close to its bottom price.

Microcap Stock — What Is It? 2007-10-17 06:07:06 A “microcap stock” is a term given to a company with low capitalizations, meaning the total value of the company’s stock. Microcap companies usually have very limited assets. In fact when the SEC suspended trading in microcap stocks, the average company had only $6 million in net tangible assets — and nearly half of them had less than $1.25 million in net assets.
Microcap stocks companies are often the most difficult to find reliable information about. Many microcap companies do not file financial reports with the SEC, so it’s hard for investors to get the facts about the company’s management, products, services, and finances. When reliable information is scarce, fraudsters can easily spread false information about microcap companies, making profits while creating losses for unsuspecting investors.
Microcap stock trade in the Over-the-counter market and are quoted on the OTC systems, such as the OTC BB or the “Pink Sheets”.

Green Product Types 2007-10-22 06:30:30 Saturday I wrote an article about “Trading Green
” and gave my thoughts on it being a good idea to consider investing in companies who’s product will have a positive impact on our environment. I didn’t go into which companies that might be or even the type of products which could prove to provide benefits for the environment, but today I would like to attempt to discuss what some of those products might be.
Of course with the price of oil reaching unprecedented highs, “energy” is the first thing that comes to mind. Today I am not going to even try to guess which companies may be “THE” ones which will make you money, but the types of products… Why? Because I haven’t even really begin to investigate individual companies.
Types of alternative energy sources:
Solar
Solar energy is one the most plentiful sources of energy for the future. One of the reasons is that the total energy we receive each year from the sun is around 3
Did You Know The New York Times Online Has become Free? 2007-10-21 06:33:10 I guess I must be slow, but long ago I stopped clicking on web links which I knew were heading to the New YorkTimes
because almost every one of those links lead to an area locked behind a subscription page. Well it has took some time, but thanks to a blog post on The Tech Stock Investor I have learned I now can click on those links with expectations of actually reaching the information I am interested.

In addition to opening the entire site to all readers, The Times will also make available its archives from 1987 to the present without charge, as well as those from 1851 to 1922, which are in the public domain. There will be charges for some material from the period 1923 to 1986, and some will be free.

Another Green Stock — Naturally Iowa — NLIA 2007-10-29 03:37:38 This is another “Green
” stock, and the only thing I don’t like about it is that it is gathering to much attention and some of that I consider the wrong source. This Company is not an energy company, but is Green because of a unique twist to its packaging.
Naturally Iowa is a producer of superior organic and all-natural dairy products. The Company’s 28,500 sq. ft. manufacturing/processing facility located in Clarinda, Iowa is a fully certified dairy processing plant which meets all organic and IMS (Interstate Milk Shippers) criteria for the processing of milk, in the production of yogurt, and ice cream as well as the manufacturing of PLA bottles.
What are PLA bottles, you ask? Polylactide polymer (PLA) is a product made from the carbon and other elements in natural corn sugars by a process of fermentation, separation, and polymerization. The point of the polymer is not to let nature biodegrade the bottles over years, but to separate them in the recycling process an Read more:Stock
