WidSets - A Window to The Web in Your Mobile
2007-09-25 04:30:00
When I first heard about WidSets, I must admit I could not understand what it was. From a short description that I read, I understood that WidSets was an application that would deliver web content to a Java-enabled mobile phone.Sounds pretty nice but not too exciting. However, within a minute after I had installed the WidSets client on my mobile, I felt why it was difficult to understand what WidSets was about. Simply, you cannot imagine an existance of such an innovative and powerful application for a mobile phone.Again, it is quite difficult to see the full potential of WidSets until you actually use the application. To put simply, WidSets gives you access to many web communities, web applications and a lot of content and all this is delivered right on your mobile phone. Email, RSS, different games, Twitter, weather forecasts, currency exchange and stock tickers and many other applications exist as Widgets for WidSets. While you may have some of that functionality in stand alone appl

Photos of the new Sony Ericsson 's Walkman prototype have hit the Internet. Possibly, it is a successor of the Sony Ericsson W880.The new Walkman is equipped with a front camera for video calls, which, most likely, speaks about support for 3G networks and 3.2 Mp back camera. PlayStation Phone is Almost Reality
2007-09-13 17:34:00
No doubt Apple with its iPhone has totally changed the situation in the cell phone market and the whole industry. The other manufacturers have experienced serious pressure from Apple and are implementing their own counter measures. In business, using a well-established brand is almost always accompanied with a serious risk of damaging that brand. A company may spend tens of years on building the brand and then a single wrong decision may totally ruin it. So far the Japanese-Swedish giant has been quite successful in using well-established brands for its mobile phones. CyberShot and Walkman are good examples.Walkman and CyberShot have been implemented into music and photo-enabled phones. A mobile phone branded with the popular Bravia line of televisions is under production already. According to the company, the phone must deliver exceptional TV experience. It is known that SonyEricsson is considering building a PlayStation branded phone as well.If we look at the branding strategy carefu

Yet Another CECT Clone. C2000+ VS. W660i
2007-10-11 08:36:00
Today I want to present you with another Sony Ericsson clone from already well-known Chinese device cloning company CECT - CECT C2000+. This time, the device is cloned from Walkman series – W660i. Frankly, I don’t understand why those guys from CECT steal designs from other devices. There are so many talented designers out there who can make much better housing… Well OK, lets say that making a cool design costs money and they are saving those hard earned bucks, but there are so many cool concepts on the Internet made by amateur designers, it would take less then fifteen minutes to search for those concepts. I noted that because, in my opinion, those designers will be just happy if somebody turns those ideas and concepts into reality.Anyway, as I've already said, design of CECT C2000+ is totally cloned from Sony Ericsson W660i and carries name SongLive. It is also equipped with a 2.4 inch, 240x320 touch sensitive display, 2MP camera and supports microSD memory format. Source

Concept of the New Sony Ericsson K660i Cyber-Shot.
2007-10-09 05:53:00
Let me present you a new concept of Sony Ericsson K660i Cyber -Shot.In my opinion, the device design is pretty cool, but technical characteristics do not meet modern demands. As we can see on the picture, concept of K660i is equipped with 2,1 inch QVGA 262k color display, 2mp camera and supports Memory Micro (M2) memory format. We also can see that the device is 3G enabled and equipped with front camera for video calls. It could be very hard to differentiate it from another model of Sony Ericsson 's Cyber-Shot series - K770i. Basically, the concept designer thinks that it’s only the camera that would make all the difference. However, I think that if this concept is implemented, it will have great demand and it will find its costumers.
