Water Cooler Moment: Project Runway 2007-11-29 09:24:00 Wow. Last nights episode was a huge ol' sloppy mess, but we're actually getting into eliminations where you actually care about who's going to go. Out of all the seasons, this is the first official all men's line challenge. There have been a couple of episodes (I think) where they had to design clothes for one another (which would sometimes pit them with a male)...but this was the official all male challenge. "Gracing" the runway was ex-jock and Today Show correspondent Tiki Barber, who would wear the winners design on tv.I loved how, when they met Tiki...the only one who knew who he was, was the only hetero male on the show. All of the gays were just "I don't know who he is, but he's really good looking". I admit I would've been the same way too. I don't watch the Today Show and I'm not into "the sports". This was also the first episode where Jack mentions being HIV +....which led me to believe that this would also be the episode where he regretfully has to take himself out o Read more:Moment

Happy Hump Day! 2007-12-12 20:59:00 Hey gang. I know that my posts have sufficiently dwindled....but it's a two-fold. One: there's not a whole lot to talk about. For some reason, when the writer's strike started...the news on pop culture dwindled severely. There are less pics of people going to work...now it's all just "look who's on the picket line". Snooze fest. The other half is...I'm uber busy at work. There always seems to be a big push of work before Christmas vacation starts....so I gotta get a lot done before I can relax.I have finished my search for a roommate and pleased that my friend Steve will be moving in with me. Other than that, nothing major to report. I will post when I have the time, so I wont wish you all a happy holiday right now. :PThis week's hump day treat is a man by the name of Yoav Reuveni:"We don't know much about Israeli stud muffin Yoav Reuveni other than that he left the army last year, enjoys traveling and can ride a horse." Weekly Kabbalah Tune Up 2007-12-09 13:08:00 The greatest challenge in a relationship is to learn how to be unconditional. Having expectations and conditions in a relationship is ultimately about being a victim. Every time we catch ourselves complaining - especially about the same thing - we are expecting the other person to make the relationship better. It's very possible that something is not right, but if it is the same issue and it is a source for fighting, being a victim is not going to strengthen the relationship. Being a victim hurts the relationship because it injects the energy of "poor me" which is the opposite of Light. The powerful thing is to look inward and ask,What about me can I work on to bring better communication? There's a kabbalistic concept called receiving for the sake of sharing. There are different ways to express giving. One of them is giving whatever the receiver wants: love, affection, wisdom, lessons, strength, time, energy, money, etc. But there is another way, and that is asking for help an Read more:Weekly

Happy Hump Day! 2007-12-05 21:41:00 Woops. I almost missed today's post.....but hey. I've been busy. We're in full swing here at the office and it's finally snowing outside! I know it's freezing now...but walking around in the snow? Magically jazz-hand-alicious. Thanks to the Christmas-nazi attitude of my sister, all of my Christmas shopping is done (with the exception OF my sister and a couple friends)....so that big lump is over...and I'm glad, cause I don't have tons of time and patience to do the shopping here in the city. While I'm not busy at work, I'm also currently interviewing new potential roommates....hopefully I'll get one that can afford to actually live in the area for more than a couple months. Keep your fingers crossed for me.Today's hump day treat is completely clothed! I know! Who knew the gays could be this...uh...non-shallow! Anyway...his name is Mihran Kirakosian...and he is known in certain circles as one of Madonna's loyal back up dancers.....and by "certain circles"...I mean "friends w Read more:Happy

Happy (Belated) Hump Day! 2007-12-20 09:23:00 Wow. How did I miss a Hump Day
? To be honest, I'm just all over the place right now with work and getting ready for winter vacation coming up. Last night I did about 500 pounds of laundry. I almost snapped my wrists carrying it to the laundromat...Ok granted I have tiny wrists, BUT, it was still a shit ton of laundry. Pittsburgh is still on the agenda for the holiday...blah blah. Nothing much else to report in my life. Just busy busy busy...so let's get to the men folk.Today's hump day treat is a man by the name of Ramirez Allender."Standing 6'1" feet, at 165 pounds, the former Bahian soccer player turned model has done a lot and intends to do a lot more in such a young age. In 2007, he got his big break when he was featured as Terra's The Boy model.Allender's goal in life is simple: he wants to marry, have children, and open a business. He says his best quality is he's very generous and his flaw is he's a perfectionist. During his spare time, he loves to listen to music and pl Read more:Happy
TMZ Sells 'Soul' & 'Class'...If It Had Any Left 2007-12-17 16:46:00 What complete and utter bullshit is the media coming to? TMZ has posted two clips of the 911 call for Kanye West's now deceased mother, Donda West. Fine, TMZ...so you were one of the first on the scene to land photos of Paris checking herself into jail. Glad you managed to turn that into a lame TV show to give screen time to cubicle dwellers like me that read celebrity gossip when they have a break in the day.To put icing on 'humanity is going to hell' cake, just check out the comments posted for the 911 call:"REMEMBER THAT SHE DIED BECAUSE SHE HAD PLASTIC SURGERY. SHE DIED BECAUSE OF HER VANITY. SHE WENT HOLLYWOOD. IF SHE WASN'T SO VAIN AND SUPERFICIAL, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE DIED""she should have gone to the dentist""Who cares. Maybe this will knock Kanye off his Holier Than Thou Pedestal!"So TMZ posts the call from an artist's dying mother. Is this really the road we're turning down? Sensationalist reporters take someone's tragedy and spread it like a cancer in order to gain a

Weekly Kabbalah Tune Up 2007-12-16 11:45:00 Pain has its place. When we experience it, when we undergo grief and heartache, the hurting purges ego and self-interest from our nature. The soul - our true self - shines brighter in that moment. This is why we suddenly feel a sense of love and unity with others when disaster strikes. Our egos diminish from the emotional pain and our souls suddenly blossom. So why hasn't the pain you've experienced in your life left you full of the endless joy that comes with the Light? The problem with pain as a path to the Light is that, with few exceptions, the changes in the ego are only temporary. Over time, the ego slowly but surely regains its strength and reclaims control. The soul's influence gradually begins to fade. Your good mood, new priorities, and caring feelings give way to rotten moods and intolerance. Priorities shift from family back again to 70-hour work weeks. Suddenly, you no longer want to change the world. You just want to change your car for one that's nicer than your best fr Read more:Weekly

Dream Log #1 2007-12-15 18:03:00 The Dream
:I woke up in my bed next to an old, white haired, fat man. I looked at him with the same eyes one gives to a hook-up partner after an all night bender. I. Was. Mortified. He kept trying to cuddle with me, so I jumped out of bed and I noticed all my roommate's stuff all over the place...but it wasn't my current roommate, it was my roommate Tyler from college. We were actually "room" mates in again in the dream. I turn around and the man from my bed is standing next to me and he wanted to know where the bathroom was. I told him it's just on the other side of the stair case that runs down the middle of the house. He kept asking me over and over again, and I kept telling him over and over again but he wouldn't go. He tells me "I'd feel better if you show me yourself". So I walk out of the room and I'm in some college owned house and it's filled with students from my college days and their parents.I bump into Tyler and he tells me "don't worry, I talked to Lillian and we'

Weekly Kabbalah Tune Up 2007-12-25 14:07:00 This week begins the historic story of Moses being chosen to lead the great escape from Egypt. If you've read this section in the Bible or the Zohar, you know that Moses was the most unassuming, humble man you could possibly imagine. When God chose him to be the leader of the Israelites, he was the type of person to have responded, "Who me?"How could the man who led 600,000 people out of slavery and who was the conduit for revealing the secrets of the universe have had such low self esteem? As the Zohar explains, Moses didn't have low self esteem. He was simply humble. The kabbalists have always emphasized that the greatest virtue a human being can have is humility. The whole idea is Moses wasn't perfect. His credentials for greatness were simply his ability to relate to everyone. This is something we can all aspire to become. As we fight to succeed in life, it might seem that it's the biggest and the best who wins. What Moses is teaching us is that a true success is someone Read more:Weekly

I Want Those Boots 2008-03-11 14:46:55 Here's the supposed cover for Madonna's first single '4 Minutes To Save The World'. I like it...it's appallingly simple...but it works. Purim 2008: Watch It Live! 2008-03-11 14:07:35 Thursday March 20th 20087:30PM PSTKabbalah.com will be offering a LIVE Streaming Connection to Purim
with Kabbalists Rav and Karen Berg.Register HERE to WatchWe are born with the potential to climb to such great heights. Yet, too often we settle for less because we become consumed with doubt. That’s why the greatest challenge we face in life is defeating our own doubt. It’s not easy. Uncertainty is so ingrained in our consciousness that we are blindly conditioned to it. Fortunately, the Creator assists us in removing aspects of ourselves that are of darkness. The holiday of Purim is one such assistance. Known as the Holiday of Joy, Purim has the energy of destroying doubt. As Rav Brandwein taught the Rav, “there is nothing that creates greater joy than the removal of doubts.”
The Queensies '08 2008-03-11 10:31:20 Well this weekend was a lot of fun. For starters, my tattoo appointment got canceled cause my guy was sick...so I was pissed..but actually looking forward to taking a break from the pain and gimpness in my left arm following a session...which also mean I wasn't going to be a gimp for my party that night. We had a great turn out and almost everyone showed up for their awards. Unfortunately, I was having too much "fun" winkwink that I forgot to take pictures during the party. I'm actually really pissed about that...but ah well..what're you gonna do about that? Anyway...The awards in no particular order:1. The "I'd Like To Slide Into That" Award winner: Steve!2. The "Spicy Taco" Award winner: Miguel!3. The "Me Ruv You Rong Time" Award winner: Eric!4. The "Bushiest Beaver" Award winner: Carol!
Netflix Review In A Minute: Knocked Up 2008-03-11 10:19:01 This movie has the makings of one of the worst films in history. First off, I'm starting to NOT like Judd Apatow and feel that he's merely 2000's response to the 90's Farrelly brothers. I also can't stand Katherine Heigl. Ever since TR Knight came out of the closet, somehow this woman has usurped the spotlight and turned it into the nonstop Heigl bitch fest. She totally is Grace from Will & Grace.BUT....I actually really liked the movie. With scripted dialog, it's hard for Katherine to be such a whiny runt. I don't believe for a second that her character would hook up with Seth Rogen's character. The plot seemed to be the wet dream of a nerd who was constantly turned down in high school. And of course it had the predictable ending of a pot smoking reject turning his life around in a montag Read more:Minute
Look At These Hot Tranny Pantiesssssssssssssss. Fierce 2008-03-10 17:15:16 I just wanted to post this for posterity's sake. I know it's all over the web by now, but Amy Poehler's imitation of Project Runway winner Christian :gaaaaaaagggg: is pure genius. It's pretty much dead on....unfortunately the Tim Gun and Heidi Klum impersonations suck. They should've had Santino come on and do Tim. His impersonation is better.

Netflix Review In A Minute: Saw 2008-03-09 16:48:25 This weekend, my roommate and I both saw Saw for the first time. I know that it has, like, 14 sequels...and I'm sure it's going to get progressively crappier with each one, but I thought Saw was great. It's not really a horror film, such as it is a psychological thriller. There is gore and death, but it was one of the smarter "horror films" I've seen in a long while, and the ending threw me for a major loop...I loved it!It was kind of funny watching, having watched Lost, and seeing Ben and that new Asian dude (the Other Others) in the movie. The actor who plays Ben is just creepy in general, and I can never see him doing a romantic comedy in the future, so he was suited well for the film. I definitely don't understand why Danny Glover was in the film, but I guess maybe while he was waiting Read more:Minute
Weekly Kabbalah Tune Up 2008-03-09 16:35:49 Let's face it, we've all hurt people in ways in which we'd hate to admit. And those of us who are aware of the universal law of cause and effect are concerned about the spiritual damage we have done. I wrote about this a few weeks ago and the response was overwhelming. Many of you really took the message to heart and began owning up to some behaviors you've been hiding from. I bring this topic up again because I cannot stress enough how important it is to hold ourselves accountable to our deeds. Because if we don't, the universe will. King David wrote, "I always hold my sins before me." All too often we remember the good things we've done and forget the bad. The Light, however, works in the opposite manner, remembering what is forgotten and forgetting what is remembered. When we draw atten Read more:Weekly
