This is another point and shoot digital camera which performed as good as digital slr camera. I think it is good for beginner who just started to learn of using DSLR camera. Herewith, i stipulated a few review about this digital camera for our considerations :
The GX100 can capture JPEGs, as well as (three cheers!) simultaneous JPEG and RAW files…The first frame will take about 4 seconds to process, and subsequent frames only get slower. Not the setting for action shots! The GX100 is a highly competent camera that’s easy and fun for both the casual shooter and the serious enthusiast to use. We like it. But we’d like it more if it cost a little less and had less noise at high ISOs.

ISO SPEED 2007-10-10 23:55:57 ISO speed is the third element that “makes” a photo. It is usually expressed with the following numbers:
50 | 100 | 200 | 400 | 800 | 1600 | 3200
These numbers tell you how “fast” does the digital sensor react to the light sent through the aperture and shutter.A small number means that it takes a relatively long time to take a photo, a large number, a very short time.But things are relative in using the right ISO setting. On an average digital camera, the ISO goes from 50 to 400.
The ISO speed 50 is usually used on bright sunny days, while the 200 and 400 ISO is used in low light conditions (like interiors or at night)There is also a problem with the image quality regarding the ISO speed. At large numbers, 400, 800, the image will contain “noise”, so use the low ISO speed as much as possible.Here is a table that will further explain how the aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed are used TOGHETHER to “make” an image.

The Aperture is the variable opening of the camera lens and controls the amount of light that strikesthe film or censor. Each variation is referred to as an f-stop. Imagine the aperture of the lens is like a tap. The more you open a tap the more water pours through it. The more you open the lens aperture the more light pours through it. Remember, the shutter speed controls how long light is exposed to the film or censor, the aperture controls how much.
Like the shutter speed, each ’stop’ is half or double the preceding one.

The S8000fd places a smaller sensor behind a much longer-range zoom lens in a less SLR-like body. Going head to head with the Panasonic FZ18 and Olympus SP560UZ the S8000fd is Fuji’s most ambitious zoom compact to date.
