Real World Examples of Male-Bashing In The Media and Misandry 2007-09-25 14:34:46 This entry is a follow-up to the first one ever written on this blog Misandry - The Socially Acceptable and Legal Form of Sexism. Even with shining examples of male-bashing in the media, it still does not show the scope of how women's sexism goes unfiltered. From feminist bloggers to news reports about sex offenders almost always showing males, hardly ever do you hear anyone say some of this information is biased against men in general and vilifies them.
This is a list of male-bashing and anti-male bias found across the web including blogs and popular news sources.
1) Don't trust your man, Indian minister tells women - Reuters. From the article: "Indian men cannot be trusted in their sexual behaviour and are fuelling the country's HIV epidemic, a female government minister said on Monday, slamming the country's "hypocrisy" about sex." Also there is this fine nugget: "Activists and officials say many women have been infected after their husbands visited prostitutes." Of course women Read more:World

The Violence Against Women Act Legally Sanctions Female To Male Violence 2007-08-20 13:04:43 The lies about domestic violence
Some time in the early 90's feminists brought statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice to Senator Joseph Biden regarding domestic violence and intimate partner abuse. I'm not clear on what the precise stat was, but it was something to the effect that nearly all of the DV phone calls made to the police were women calling to report their abusive husbands and boyfriends. Senator Biden accepted this information from the feminists and drafted a law which was eventually voted in and passed in 1994. The law is called The Violence
Against Women
Act, more commonly known as VAWA. The problem with this law is the fact that it only protects females and labels males the sole perpetrators. What does this mean for men? Your female partner can hit, punch, shove, slap or even pepper spray you, and as long as she tells the police she "felt threatened" (yes, VAWA says that specifically) YOU get arrested and NOT HER. I can not stress that enough. Men get arrested Read more:Sanctions

More On Men's (Lack of) Parental Rights 2007-08-03 13:45:56 Misandry cloaks the family law system in America. There is a story on Glenn Sack's blog about the foster care system ignoring the rights of a father needlessly separated from his daughter for over a decade. The story goes that Thomas Smith, a decorated Vietnam war veteran had a daughter named Melinda. Until the girl was age four, he saw her regularly. Melinda's mother packed up and moved away with her without leaving a forwarding address. The mother was arrested for abuse and Melinda was placed in the foster care system. Thomas was never contacted regarding this situation even though he was on file as the girl's father, and his abilities as a parent were never put into question. Thomas received an order to pay child support and went to the court hearing hoping to find information, but was left in the dark. At age 7, Melinda was placed in a group facility with children convicted of criminal activity because of her angry outbursts, which were probably influenced by the bad situation l Read more:Rights

Why Men Should Not Get Married or Have Kids 2007-07-30 13:23:21 Marriage rates have gone down 50% since 1970 in the United States. Traditionally, it is men who ask women to marry them, not the other way around. Put the two of these facts together and you have a culture of American men who are just not asking women to marry them.
Here is an article from iVillage.com called "Do guys hate when we talk about marriage?" It is filled with the standard women's magazine attitude that men's lack of commitment is their fault due to being inferior to women, or insecure in some way. Indeed, it is men who are answering the questions in the articles, but are they going to publish responses from men who give reasons women won't like? No. They would be more likely to publish the comments from the men that put women up on a pedestal and make them feel superior. I once read a Cosmo article that said something along the lines of how men stay little boys long after they are grown up, and that is why they are insecure and have trouble committing.
Do an experiment. A
Men Should Boycott American Airlines (Quantas and Brittish Airways, Too) 2007-05-29 15:40:01 The guys over at news.mensactivism.org have come across an interesting marketing tactic used by AmericanAirlines
which you can read here. If you visit www.aa.com/women you will see their web site offering special perks to female travelers. Matt from mensactivism.org decided to write them a letter. After some time here is the response he has received via snial mail:
"We have the responsibility to our stockholders to maximize their investment, and that means aggressively pursuing the business of those who travel frequently...[Women constitute a large portion of our market]...Good business dictates we pursue these travelers."
Matt also makes the point that this was the same argument used when black people were segregated from "white only" establishments, or were forced to sit in black-only seating.

Why Women Are More Sexual Than Men And How They Cover It Up 2007-05-01 13:34:13 Why Women
Are More Sexual
Than Men And How They Cover
It Up
1) Women have a clitoris, the only part of the human body devoted entirely to sexual pleasure with no other purpose.
2) From owning an adult advertising and marketing company several years ago, I learned that 50% of adult video sales are to women. A good portion of adult web site and magazine sales are to women. The vast majority of the sales of sex stories and romance novels are to them, too. Nearly the entire market for sex toys is directed specifically at women. Overall, they cover more sales for sex products than men. Add sexy lingerie to that and you've put females way past the mark. Women cover this up by making it sound like porn and masturbation are only a "guy thing" and not admitting to being busy themselves. Just listen to the way they talk about it. I have known some women who were honest about the fact that they masturbate more than once every day.
3) Women have more "masturbation options" than men. For men, the
Misandry - The Socially Acceptable and Legal Form of Sexism 2007-04-17 22:09:32 Misandry. You may have never even heard this word before, yet it is everywhere. The Free Dictionary defines it simply as hatred of men. Growing up as a male in America, I've been made aware of what is considered sexism towards women. I have been taught throughout the entire process of growing up, and even into adult life, that anything I could say or do that is hateful or degrading to women is WRONG for me to say. I have been taught this even if I have no natural inclination towards hate. For example, respectable male news anchors would never degrade a woman's private parts on any respectable TV news show, like, for example, The Today Show. Why is it then, that hardly anyone made a fuss when Today Show host Katie Couric asked a jilted bride during an interview "have you considered castration as an option?". Do you think a male anchor who asked "have you considered ripping her uterus out as an option?" would still have his job the next day?

Domestic Violence Is Not A Gender Issue 2007-10-23 00:13:53 Admittedly, the title of this entry was bitten from an ifeminists.com article also called DomesticViolence
Is Not A Gender Issue by Erin Pizzy. However, the info here is unique and cites many different references.
For over a decade feminists have been spreading false stats and one-sided theories about domestic violence being perpetrated almost always by males, with females being the victims nearly every time. In light of this information on gender-based violence, Senator Joseph Biden drafted the "Violence Against Women Act" also known as VAWA. This was voted and passed into law, has received billions of dollars of funding, and the National Network To End Domestic Violence
has still asked for more and were not happy to be turned down.
Take for example the web site stopvaw.org which has an article called Adapting the Duluth Model for training law enforcement and counselors. The problem with this training model is that it takes on the presumption that battering is essentially caused only
Extra: Comprehensive Sex Education vs. Teaching Abstinence 2007-11-10 22:52:46 Knowledge is power. A Lack of knowledge leads to ignorance. Those responsible for teaching and spreading information are combating ignorance. This is why comprehensive sex education is the best way to teach teenage boys and girls about the risks they take when engaging in sexual behavior.
Texas has a reputation for abstinence-only sex education but still has the highest pregnancy rate in America. America has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the developed world. The pregnancy rate is twice as high as England, Wales and Canada and is eight times higher than the Netherlands and Japan. Teens in America are also more likely than their English counterparts to have brief sporadic relationships and are less likely to use contraceptives. Guttmacher Institute estimates that 750,000 teen pregnancies occur each year and 82% of them are unintended, with one quarter ending in abortion. By 2002 one third had not received education contraception. With numbers like these, teenagers in the U.S Read more:Extra

Anti-Male Article from Lansing, MI: If boys will be boys, men will beat women 2007-11-29 17:42:35 This anti-male article called "If boys will be boys, men will beat women" by Gretchen Cochran references all sorts of false and cherry-picked statistics to vilify men and label them the main perpetrators of domestic violence and intimate partner violence. The main point of the article is the suggestion that schools should start programs to teach boys to "share power" with girls to prevent them from becoming abusive as adults. From the article: "The World Health Organization declared “a world-wide epidemic of violence against women” in 2003. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention followed suit." They did? The CDC report used frequently on mensawareness.com says that men are equally likely to be victims of domestic violence and that 70% of non-reciprocal partner violence is perpetrated by women. When The Justice System Fails - False Rape and Murder Convictions 2008-01-22 21:26:10 Anyone who keeps up with The Innocence Project might notice that the vast majority of the 212 people who have been freed from wrongful convictions are male, most of them black. For those not familiar with the project, they use DNA evidence to help free people falsely convicted of rape and murder. This January 20, 2008 article by Susan Campbell from the Hartford Courant describes how they have their hands full now more than ever.
Where much focus on this site is placed on false accusations invented by liar, not all erroneous convictions stem from those. Sometimes a crime really has been committed and there are victims, but the wrong person is punished.

Women's Magazine Male Bashing and Junk Science 2008-01-10 18:32:17 There is an interesting biased article from "Ladies' Home Journal" (LHJ.com) called "What He's Really Thinking When You Fight". by Marianne L. Legato, MD (actually her name is Marianne J. Legato, MD, but the article displays the wrong middle initial).
The article is broken down into 4 sections. 1) Where the Problem Starts. 2) Anatomy of an Argument 3) Where Chemicals Come In 4) How to Fix It
Every single paragraph will be copied and pasted along with my translation of what the author is really saying.

County approves alternative jail program for women 2008-03-21 19:03:43 - 0 clicksBy next year, women in La Crosse, WI might enjoy brand new get out of jail free cards. The county might close down the women's jail for financial reasons. From the article: "[Supervisor and criminal defense attorney Keith] Belzer said women are almost always in the system “because of some kind of relationship with a man.”" More: "With the women’s jail empty, some male prisoners could temporarily be moved there while cell blocks in the men’s jail are remodeled for the few women who need to be jailed, said County
Administrator Steve O’Malley." Senseless.
More Domestic Violence Lies, This Time From a Male Feminist 2008-03-08 11:57:55 Here is yet another blog entry by a male feminist about domestic violence. He attempts to refute the idea that men are equal victims by pointing out some flaws in a major DV study. He may be correct about the flaws and how these studies are not perfect, but he then insists that just because one research method, the CTS, is flawed, that all of men's rights activism is flawed and that feminism is still "correct" on the claim that women are victims of partner violence more often and that they suffer more severe injuries than men. He also does not say exactly where he gets his facts from except for hearsay and second hand information. This is because the Centers for Disease Control, U.S. Department of Justice, Harvard Medical school and the Australia Bureau of Statistics all have done separat Read more:Domestic

Gender Bias in Sentencing for Sex Offenders - Special Treatment for Women 2008-07-04 14:51:52 This is a case about a man who was arrested on charges that he watched several young victims have sex and perform various sex acts with each other. At some point, he participated. One victim who was 15 at the time of the assaults testified. She told the jury that she was too afraid to report him because she knew he owned a gun and felt intimidated. James Kevin Pope was convicted on 43 counts of ch Read more:Sentencing
