Alas...Poor toenail 2007-07-08 04:11:00 As you may or may not know, I'm training for a couple of things to raise money for certain charities. One is a 50 mile walk on September the 15th for Kent Youth. The other is a 10K run around Leeds Castle for Cancer Research. Well, my feet have taken a bit of a pounding and this morning my toenail next to the big one decided enough was enough and dropped off. That's the second toenail now. I had such pretty feet too.... ;)If you can afford to donate to these charities, through me or directly to the source, that would be wonderful. Think of the future...think of my poor feet....

John Travolta's Big-foot Carbon footprint 2007-07-22 05:46:00 I was watching Jay Leno the other day and John Travolta was on talking about his sleeping habits. He stated that he goes to bed at 5 am and sleeps through until 12pm in the morning.So not content with owning a 747 which he flies around for fun, he stays up presumably with all lights blazing. The most inefficent lifestyle energy wise I can imagine. Why? Because he can I guess. Leaving the rest of us plebs to choke on his fumes. In this era of global warming we all need to stand up and take responsiblity for our energy usage and realise that it is having a detrimental effect on the planet. But with guys like Travolta, living lives like Roman emperor's, we have our work cut out telling the Chinese to stop building coal fired powerstations, because John Travola has presumably got one in his back garden for his Barbecues.On another note, I was curious to see what Jay Leno's wife looked like. The Majesty of Ancient Man 2007-07-24 12:58:00 My family and I went for a little break the other week, to the Isle of Wight.No, this isn't a picture of me with said family. Although, it's so realistic I can see why you may be mistaken. They are actually models of ancient man. Hard to believe they are made from just bits of plastic and bacon rind isn't it?It's possibly the most accurate depiction of our cave dwelling ancestors I have ever seen.
