or Treating Thursday and then again tonight. It was so much fun. This year was so different than last year. Landon had a great time and understood a little bit better what was going on this year, and we got a lot of good candy too!

No More Naive Know-It-All

Before I was a mom I thought I knew everything there was to know about babies/toddlers. I mean after all, I babysat through out the years, and helped my mom take care of my brother who is 12 years younger than me. I thought that qualified me enough, right? When I was pregnant I used to hate, and I mean hate, when friends, who had children, would give me advice. I would roll my eyes (privately) when they would try to prepare me for the ups and downs of motherhood. Good grief, the nerve of them, who did they think they were? My child would be perfect ALL.THE.TIME, motherhood would be sheer bliss everyday, and being a mom would become second nature. ( I was pretty naive, to say the least.)
For some reason, us gals feel as if we are to know everything about raising children. From the minute they are born, we even feel like a failure if we can’t get that newborn to stop crying at 2 in the morning, or we’re struggling with breastfeeding issues. Or later, we feel like failures whe

Yep, you are seeing right, those would be Christmas
decorations in the photo above. Yep, I am very much aware that it isn’t even the middle of November yet, but Hobby Lobby was having one sweet sale! I just had to. The ones we use now, Brian bought way before we were even dating!? I mean, the guy had great taste and all, but it was time to update. Don’t you think? I bought a tree topper, skirt, and 6 boxes of bulbs for 83 bucks, which I think was a good deal. Maybe, maybe not? I only need a few more items to decorate the other rooms and figure closer to the end of the month, some more good sales will come up.
So, earlier this week I went and replaced all my tree’s old (gold and white) decorations for something new. As you know, or maybe you don’t know, my favorite colors are blue and silver. Hands down, you really can’t go wrong if you buy me anything with either color. Let’s see. I drive a silver car, and we’re looking for a silver truck. My

My hands are tired, and my head is spinning just a bit. I have emerged from my crafting room, alive. I’ve been in there now for a few days. I did come out occasionally to take a potty break, attend to Landon, and upload pictures and write descriptions of the items that I made. When I wasn’t doing that I was busy with life. I think I can breathe now—maybe, maybe not. But for now, I am ready to share my new shop! I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I have been working on this thing, it seems like forever.

Today was just one of those days I felt beyond blessed, thankful, and just full. God has been so good to my family and I. He has given us/me so much, how can I ever ask Him for more?
It’s in the high 50’s today, warm sun, and no wind. My perfect fall day. We did some yard work late this morning, we as in me as well. We raked leaves, we played in the leaves, we covered the AC units, put away all the outdoor toy structures. It felt so good to work the arm muscles, feel the warm sun on my face, breathe in the fresh fall air, and hear my son laughing as he tore through piles of leaves. We are now ready for the winter months that soon approach. It was a good morning, full of yard work, laughter, and of course pictures!
And speaking of pictures, thanks to Shutterfly.com, I have made and ordered my Christmas cards already with pictures I took of Landon last night. (If you don’t use them, you should. I have every.single.photo backed up with them, they rock!) I put Landon i
