, and when I was planning my wedding, I wanted my wedding and wedding vows to reflect my beliefs and the eternal vows that I was making to my husband. That was why my husband and I chose not to write my own vows, but instead to use the tried and true vows which couples have been making to each other before God for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Do I Need Church Decorations? 2007-09-11 09:32:39 I spent so much time on our wedding planning and working on the reception and other details that I totally didn’t think of church decorations. It really only hit me about two weeks before the big day when one of the ladies on the church asked me what I was planning on doing for decorations, and when I would need help to start decorating the sanctuary. I was shocked that I hadn’t even thought of it myself, and didn’t really have an answer. At that point so close to our actual wedding day, with all the other stressful details I was working on and considering more important I found myself wondering, “Do I really need church decorations?” After much thought and kicking myself for forgetting such a major detail, I came to the conclusion that my church decorations should have been at the forefront of my mind, and that I had let so many other things get in the way, and I’ll tell you why.

Choosing Your Wedding Colors 2007-08-31 15:15:10 Okay, before I start, I had a totally hard time choosing my wedding colors, and looking back, I may have chosen another color or even a combination of colors to give my bridesmaids and decorations a little bit of a break to make it easier to match everything. For my spring wedding, I wanted my colors to be something bright and cheery, but also didn’t want my bridesmaids to hate me and hate the dress (I choose peach by the way). I wanted to match (or at least not clash) with the colors in the church, and since my bridesmaids consisted of two blonds, a red head, a brunette, and one with black hair, I wanted something that would compliment each person’s skin tone. Do I Need Bridal Portraits? 2007-08-30 13:23:21 While planning for my wedding, I had a lot of pressure to schedule to pose for bridal portraits, and to be honest, I never really saw the need for it. For those of you who don’t know, your bridal portraits are taken prior to the wedding day, typically a month or two before hand. You’ll need to get all dressed up, have your hair and make up done like you will the day of your wedding, and go out the the photoshoot. Most brides do this so that they can post the pictures at the entrance of the reception, or somewhere else. It is a classy idea, and lots of people do it. Beautiful scenery, a bride dressed in white equals some beautiful pictures and memories. Plus they are probably more beautiful than anything that will be taken of you at your actual wedding ceremony. Face it, you may not have the same scenery at your wedding ceremony or reception hall.
