Charity Computers 2007-09-16 20:02:06 Hi Just spent two days with a fellow Pastor Ian Rumsey at Charity
Computers in our nations capital.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but to say I was blown away when we entered their massive warehouse was an understatement!
I was the size of two tennis courts and stacked with pallet after pallet of donated computers!
They [...]
What I love about Myspace 2007-07-16 18:55:18 There is alot I like about Myspace.
It’s an incredibly viral and sticky site.
What I mean is, it’s addictive and I keep wanting to come back for more.
I love how you can customise your profile to look any way you want.
Looking for old friends is like a game, a kind of synthetic hide and seek!

Problems with Myspace - web 1.0 with a 2.0 flavouring 2007-07-13 18:28:01 Myspace is web 2.0?
Hmph
It’s more like a web 1.0 application incorporating social networking concepts.
Problems with Myspace:
1. Interface
You would think that a site worth so much to Murdock would get a major overhaul in the user interface department. It’s seriously lacking, uses very little DHTML or AJAX to speed the overall user experience and has an [...]
iPhone released - hit Australia? 2007-07-03 04:04:15 A mate of mine was at work today and the brother of one of his co-workers turned up (having just landed from the states) with a red-hot iPhone
coolly hanging from his left mit! Aaron (my mate) got the chance to polish it for a few minutes while trying out some cool moves reviewers from [...] Read more:Australia
John Howard as “The Greatest Living Australian” 2007-05-10 02:42:11 I thought I would do my bit to pronounce our Prime Minister John Howard
as “The GreatestLivingAustralian
”.
The man has done so many great things for Australia. After seeing the latest budget, I am amazed at how he has taken us from disaster to a prosperous country.
If you want to see what it takes [...] Read more:ldquo

I saw an iPhone in the flesh today! 2007-09-27 21:29:00 Wow,
Os Hillman slipped his iPhone
out of his left pocket this morning and showed it around to us poor ignorant Aussie’s down here with no iPhones. Funnily enough he didn’t gloat one bit, and he was so nice about it! I didn’t get to touch it, maybe I will get to touch one when Brett [...] Read more:flesh

Venturer HD DVD Player 2007-09-19 04:39:59 Every now an again there comes a moment when an industry is defined from two separate (and disparate) camps into one.
Venturer has announced their sub USD$200 HD-DVD player will ship before the holiday season.
It’s pretty awesome, blue-ray needs to get smart and soon, this is a paradigm defining product that will create ripples for years [...] Read more:DVD Player
Windows Live Writer 2008-03-13 07:22:52 I’m giving windows live writer a go.
Live writer is a XML-RPC client that allows you to post blog entries from your windows desktop.
It means that any metaweblog api compliant blogging platform can be posted to using Live Writer
.
It’s awesome, just for quickly tapping out entries it’s great.
You can also easily add images:

What happens when you post a box with 161 stamps 2008-03-21 04:30:06 I’m not sure what happened here, maybe the post office wanted to unload some of those old Christmas stamps left over from the festive season. Maybe office staff had nothing better to do?
But this is the result of a roll of 161 stamps and a miss-spent afternoon in the (relatively) remote NSW town of Coonamundra.

Blonde asks for seven-hundred-ten at the Mechanic… 2008-05-27 13:10:57 Cool joke I got the other day via email:
A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten.
We all looked at each other and another customer asked, ‘What is a seven-hundred-ten?’ She replied, ‘You know, the little piece in the middle of [...] Read more:Blonde

Its Easy To Be Cynical about Hillsong and MegaChurches 2008-06-07 23:05:31 After reading Mega Church Watch I have come to the conclusion (or maybe I did years ago) that it’s alot easier to form cynical attitudes to things that grow than applaud someone or something thats doing better than you are.
I love the fact that things grow, I don’t sit around being resentful that the tree [...] Read more:Cynical

Where to Buy iPhone? Vodafone or Optus, But No TELSTRA! 2008-06-09 14:20:14 Curiously enough, the “Where to Buy” page on Apples store for the new iPhone
3G does not have a link to Telstra, only Optus and Vodafone
.
I must admit, I’m really suprised by this, I was expecting Telstra to pick up the iPhone, I guess negotions didn’t go Telstra’s way…
It’s a shame really, Telstra has by [...]
Embracing change - ‘The faithful wounds of a friend’ 2008-09-25 17:34:03 I Love this comment on news.com.au’s “Ask Bossy” about weight issues and self image:
Sometimes just considering change is the hardest thing. Sometimes when people say something that suggests they would like us to change, we are hurt and withdraw. This is natural…at first. But so is change. Sometimes we cling so tightly to the idea [...] Read more:Embracing
