WHAT LOVE MEANS TO AGE 4 TO 8 YEAR OLD CHILDREN 2007-10-04 12:25:11 Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babes.
What does Love mean?
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, “What does love mean?”
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

“When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.”

An Angel In The Postal Service 2007-10-18 15:21:33
This is one of the kindest things I’ve ever experienced. I have no way to know who sent it, but there is a kind soul working in the dead letter office of the US Postal
service. Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:
Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it t Read more:Service
Your Child’s Moral Warehouse 2007-10-17 16:08:52 Have you ever said something to your child and thought yikes that didn’t come out right? Yes, I’ve done it. He had just done something that I got a glimpse of and I used a harsh tone with him, finding out later that I was not seeing the whole story and I had jumped to conclusions. How will this impact my son? Will he take the same recourse as I when chastising his son or daughter?
The Moral
Alarm
The time when we hear this alarm is usually before we do the action. This happens when we have had some teachings from our parents on the certain something we are about to do. As we start to do the action we might remember something our parents once said to us and we retract from doing the action.
Filling Up The Warehouse
The instructions to filling this warehouse are located in the Bible. As we are raising our children in God’s ways, they fill the warehouse with information that is taken in on a daily basis when they see their family in action. These are every day lessons for a child.

Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part One) 2007-10-23 13:20:24 In the late seventies, God very graciously opened an itinerant ministry to me. As I began to travel, I found that I had access to church growth records, and found to my horror that something like 80 to 90% of those making a decision for Christ were falling away from the faith. That is, modern evangelism with its methods is creating something like 80 to 90 of what we commonly call backsliders for every hundred decisions for Christ.
Let me make it more real for you. In 1991, in the first year of the decade of harvest, a major denomination in the U.S. was able to obtain 294,000 decisions for Christ. That is, in one year, this major denomination of 11,500 churches was able to obtain 294,000 decisions for Christ. Unfortunately, they could only find 14,000 in fellowship, which means they couldn’t account for 280,000 of their decisions, and this is normal, modern evangelical results, and something I discovered way back in the late seventies; it greatly concerned me. I began to study the

Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Five) 2007-10-28 04:12:36 The precedent in Scripture is given in John 4 for personal witness. You can see Jesus’ example with the woman at the well. He started in the natural realm, swung to the spiritual, brought conviction using the seventh commandment, and then revealed Himself as the Messiah. So, when I meet someone, I’ll talk about the weather, I’ll talk about sport: let them feel a little bit of sanity. Get to know them; maybe joke here and there and then deliberately swing from the natural to the spiritual. Now, the way I do this is that I use gospel tracts. We have something like 24, 25 different tracts; we’re a ministry to the body of Christ. We’ve printed millions and millions of tracts and our tracts are unusual. If you get a hold of them, what you’ll have to do is have a stack on you because people chase you and ask for more. Let me give you an example. This is our optical illusion tract. Which looks bigger, if you can see? Does the pink look bigger? Can you see t
Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Four) 2007-10-27 04:11:54 In Luke 10:25 we see a certain lawyer stood up and tempted Jesus. This is not an attorney, but a professing expert on God’s law. He stood up and he said to Jesus, “How can I get everlasting life?” Now, what did Jesus do? He gave him law. Why? Because he was proud, arrogant, self-righteous. Here we have a professing expert on God’s law tempting the Son of God. And the spirit of his question was, “And what do you think we’ve got to do to get everlasting life?” So Jesus gave him law. He said, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” He says, “Ah, you should love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength; love your neighbor as yourself.” And Jesus said, “This do and you shall live.” And then the Scripture says, “But He, willing to justify Himself, said to Jesus, ‘Who’s my neighbor?’ ” The Living Bible brings out more clearly the effect of the la
Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Three) 2007-10-25 11:27:41 You see, you try and save a man from drowning when the man doesn’t believe he’s drowning, he’ll not be too happy with you. You see him swimming out in the lake; you think, “I think he’s drowning. Yes, I believe he is.” You dive in, pull him to the shore, without telling him anything. He’s not going to be very happy with you. He won’t want to get saved until he sees that he’s in danger. They’ll not escape danger until they see it.
You see, if you came to me and said, “Hey, Ray,” and I said, “Yeah.” You said, “This is a cure to Groaninzin’s disease; I sold my house to raise the money to get this cure. I’m giving it to you as a free gift.” I’d probably react something like this: “What? Cure to what? Groaninzin’s disease? You sold your house to raise the money to get this cure? You’re giving it to me as a free gift? Why, thanks a lot. Bye…That guy&rsquo Read more:Three
Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Two) 2007-10-24 11:23:05 Saints, instead of preaching that Jesus improves the flight, we should be warning the passengers they’re going have to jump out of the plane. That it’s “appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment” (Heb. 9:27). And when a sinner understands the horrific consequences of breaking God’s law, then he will flee to the Savior solely to escape the wrath that’s to come. And if we’re true and faithful witnesses, that’s what we’ll be preaching. That there is wrath to come; that God “commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). Why? “Because He has appointed a day, in which He will judge the world in righteousness” (vs. 31). You see, the issue isn’t one of happiness, but one of righteousness. It doesn’t matter how happy a sinner is, how much he’s enjoying “the pleasures of sin for a season” (Heb. 11:25). Without the righteousness of Christ, he’ll perish on the Read more:Part Two
Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Eight And The Last) 2007-10-31 04:17:46 And it’s as though God looked down upon me, as for many years I open-air preached, and as I fought off the enemy with the feather duster of modern evangelism, it’s as though God said, “What are you doing? My weapons are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2Cor. 10:4). Here are ten great cannons.” And as I lined up the ten cannons of God’s law, no longer did sinners scoff and mock. No, their faces went pale; they lifted their hands and said, “I surrender all! All to Jesus I freely give!” They came across to the winning side never to become deserters. Such converts become soul winners, not pew warmers, laborers, not layabouts, assets, not liabilities for the local church.
And now saints, with every head raised and every eye open, and no music playing, let me challenge you as to the validity of your salvation. Modern evangelism says, “Never question your salvation.” The Bible says the exact opposite. I Read more:Eight
Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Seven) 2007-10-30 04:14:27 Now, if you look around you, you’ll find there are plenty of passengers enjoying the flight. They’re enjoying the pleasures of sin for a season. Go up and say, “Excuse me. Did you hear the command from our Captain about salvation, ‘Put on the Lord Jesus Christ.’ ” He turns to you and says, “Oh, I really don’t think God means it. God is love. Besides, I’m quite happy as I am, thanks.” Don’t turn to him in sincere zeal without knowledge and say, “Please, put on the Lord Jesus Christ. He’ll give you love, joy, peace, fulfillment, and lasting happiness. You’ve got a God-shaped vacuum in your heart only God can fill. If you have a marriage problem, drug problem, alcohol problem, just give your heart to Jesus.” No. You’ll give him the wrong motive for his commitment. Instead say, “Oh, God, give me courage!” and tell him about the jump. Just say, “Hey, it’s appointed to man Read more:Seven
Hell’s Best Kept Secret (Part Six) 2007-10-29 04:13:33 Now, I haven’t got time to share these quotes with you, but their in our literature. I’m sure you’ll recognize these names. John Wycliffe, the Bible translator. He said, “The highest service to which a man may obtain on earth is to preach the law of God.” Why? Because it will drive sinners to faith in the Savior, to everlasting life. Martin Luther said, “The first duty of the gospel preacher is to declare God’s law and to show the nature of sin.” In fact, as we read these quotes, these men have so much conviction you can feel their teeth grit. They say things like, “If you do not use the law in gospel proclamation, you will fill the church with false converts.” Stony ground hearers who will receive the word with joy and gladness. Listen to what Martin Luther said. He said, “Satan, the god of all dissension stirs up daily new sects. And last of all which of all others I should never have foreseen or once suspected, he has

True and False Conversion
Tonight I want, by the grace of God, to share with you a teaching called “True and False Conversion.” A very
sobering teaching, and a teaching that I believe is most necessary within the contemporary church.
I have a teaching called “Hell’s Best Kept Secret” which deals with the use of the Law in evangelism. In fact, God’s
Law, the Ten Commandments, was the essence of the gospel proclamation of Wesley, Moody, Whitfield, Jonathan
Edwards, all these men that God so greatly used. They said that if you don’t use the Law, you’ll almost certainly
lead to false conversions.
I was reading in the American Horizons magazine, which is the official magazine of a very large,

Wordpress Blues 2007-11-14 00:34:21 This is my fourth Wordpress
Theme and I am still feeling like there is something missing. Going to some other sites I realize that it is important to have a well laid out site. People want to come to a site and get something from it. If they are coming for an article or for a service, they want to be able to get the service you advertise. Guess I am a little tired of sitting back and watching the big dog grow more popular for an article on what he ate for dinner or how much money he is making off of his reader’s. Just think if my site starts bringing in some serious cash, my intentions are to give back 80% to my reader. Getting the readers to come to me, that is the question. Read more:Blues

Story Of Christmas 2007-11-11 18:54:06 Many of you have heard the true story of Christmas
or watched it on television, but have you ever picked up the Bible and read about it? Most of the stuff you see or hear isn’t accurate.
It all started with a couple named Mary and Joe. Mary was married to Joe, who was a carpenter. Back in that day, however, when a couple got married the wife would go to her husband’s house to do the cleaning and cooking, she then would return to her own house. They would do this everyday, for at least a couple of years. One night an angel appeared before Mary and told her that she was pregnant and that the baby would be the Son of God, the chosen Messiah. When Mary started showing signs of pregnancy, Joe started to panic. He decided to hide her away so no one would think that he had made her pregnant. He also began to wonder who the father of the baby could be. Then the angel came to him one night and told him that the baby was the child of God . A decree came down from Caesar Augu

“AS GOD’S ANOINTED, WE ARE TO BIRTH WHAT IS OF THE SPIRIT”
The Church was birthed 2,000 years ago, but she, the true Church, really has been hidden away for the most part. It’s in this generation that the Church is coming of age and is about to be “revealed” as who she really is–the glorious Bride of Christ.
The “awkward, unsure of who she is” stage is about to be done away with. The Bride will shine forth, knowing who she has been created to be. The glory of her Groom shall shine brightly upon her and all who see her unveiled face (as who she has been transformed into) wi
John Chow Hugs Google 2007-11-16 01:25:25 Guess John couldn’t handle the bad press when it comes to him standing up to Google
. He has said many times his issues he has with Google and how he could live without them, I guess not. John wrote an article yesterday on how he wants to be friends with Google again, I think he misses their PR love. John has put all his eggs into Google’s PR basket. Hey John while your at it you might as well sell out and start talking about Britney Spears crouch shot, Paris saving the elephants, Logan drinking the night away, Brad and Angelina getting another baby, if your going to sell out John you might as well go big. Heck put up the famous Britney crouch shot pic that might get you some good PR John, or better yet let’s all go read about what he had for breakfast, or his latest bowl movement.
You might think I have it out for John Chow, this is not true, he has alot of good qualities and than there are some that make me scratch my head like an ape and grunt and wonder what the hell w
Fonts For Your Blog 2007-11-25 15:10:04 Yes the dream is to have people reading my articles with their morning coffee. Reading takes a toll on the eyes so you have to make sure that you have your site set up for the reader.
Contrast
You need to think about what is best for the reader when it comes to staring at the screen for a long period of time. I myself have woke up with terrible headaches from looking at some sites that where hard to read. Find a background color goes good with the color of the font.
Font
Decide what you are going to use on your site, small fonts or big fonts. The small font is hard to read, yes it looks professional, but it will be hard to read. The bigger fonts are easier to read and usually do not turn off the reader, even though you think it might look childish.
Columns
Think about how hard it is going to be for them to find the content. Think about how other sites set their content up to be read. You don’t want your readers looking for your article like they are Read more:Fonts

Dow Hits Over 13,000 (AGAIN) 2007-11-28 14:29:41 The Dow went over 13,000 again as the Federal Reserve hints that it might lower interest rates. Last night I was telling my wife that it is time for a recession; America has invested in companies that are full of liquid for way to long.
Gambling For Dollars
Where’s the safest place to invest my money in these troubled times? Have you heard the expression don’t put your all of your eggs in one basket? This is good when you have a booming economy, right now it might be a 75, 30 split when dividing my eggs. With the stock market, it truly is a gamble. If you invest in something that suddenly has a problem, that stock is surely to go down. You might be thinking that it takes a risk to get a great reward, this is true. When you invest wisely, wisely meaning that you do your homework, you can take a risk based upon calculated studies. That is different than leaving all your money in a stock that has given you indications of falling returns.
