Went to help out at the OSIM Singapore Corporate Triathlon 2007 this morning at East Coast as safety canoeist. It was pretty uneventful, and I am not complaining. I was waiting for bus at Dunearn Road when I saw a visually handicapped man at the bus stop, alone.
I have seen before bus drivers who stop just nicely and shout out the service number to blind people, but I guess this doesn't happen all the time. So yesterday this visually handicapped man was standing there, facing no one in particular and asking what service number was that. No one bothered.

The Times Higher Education Supplement's World University Rankings 2007 was out on November 8 and this year NUS' ranking took a dip from 19 to 33.

for our design project, and we are supposed to grade our group mates and rank them. Wrong, we are supposed to grade and rank everyone in the group, including ourselves.
Although this is a good way for the prof to know who's doing the work and who is freeloading, but it feels kinda like cultural-revolution-style backstabbing. Pretty cruel.

I was at the faculty's Audio-Visual Unit when I saw this student calling out to a female staff in a loud voice, "AUNTIE AH, [blah blah blah...]". =_="

Had a nice bottle of chilled Paulaner at SMU's Ice-Cold B's last night. Somehow I just like to disturb the other universities. =P
Not sure about NTU, but NUS only has Tiger Beer (I might be wrong, may have root beer too), while at SMU, they have Paulaner, Asahi, Stella Artois, Tuborg and Hoegaarden (but no Tiger). The snacks are a bit disappointing though, so you may want to consider sneaking in
