"No Hoarding Zones" To Make Life Safer In Hyderabad...
2007-08-19 07:11:00
Hyderabad has always been a grand city with its unflinching history and charm. But the recent march towards development has spawned many side-effects. One among them has been the huge cut-outs and hoardings that sprung up without stringent regulations in place. Though initially majority of us including me liked Sania Mirza on that huge hoarding, gradually things became out of control and they have just become an eye-sore. More recently, they have become even life threatening as a huge 15 tonne Uni-pole came crashing down killing one and injuring four people. So in order to make many commercial zones safe and bring uniformity to the skyline of the city, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC)has stopped giving permissions to new LCD Hoardings and also is in the process of declaring many "No Hoarding Zones " including Assembly, Raj Bhavan, Secretariat. In fact the whole city will be divided into 4 zones namely A, B, C and D. Zone A will be a no hoarding zone, Zone B will have a limi

TATA is at it again... After the promise of an affordable and revolutionary Rs.1-Lakh car sometime in 2008, TATA Motors is also planning to introduce the world's most fuel efficient technology based car which runs on just compressed air. The cost of air fuel refill would be about Rs.90, and each fill is estimated to have a range of about 150-200 km."Rs.90 of air fuel refill would keep your car rolling for 150-200 km."These cars would probably be priced in the Indica range (approximately around Rs.3.5 Lakh). The TATA's Air car version would probably be the mirror of the European variant called MiniCAT. Though the official sources are not confirming the launch date, they sure are destined for Indian roads. This would be a very good news for our polluted urb
