Bad Day Part Deux aka The Big Blowout ...
2007-09-09 08:07:13
So I'm minding my own business and cleaning the house when what to my wondering eyes should appear? An angry MCB, that fills me full of fear. At the time I wasn't sure what was making him so angry. That was to become apparent later in the evening. But suffice to say, he was very cold and distant as he walked into the house. I just continued with my chores of sweeping the kitchen and then I moved on to cleaning the bathroom which was in need of some serious scrubbing. Apparently, this was my big mistake. Later that night, I was making dinner when MCB rambled into the room. The conservation seemed to start innocently enough, as we talked about what I had done the night before. It soon deteriorated into a screaming match of epic proportion. MCB started demanding a departure date for when hubby and I would be out of his house. Of course in the next breath, he was sure to point out that we shouldn't leave unless we were ready and that he wasn't kicking us out. But to hear the init

He's Had a Bad Day Again ...
2007-08-26 07:03:08
So, last night I'm innocently emptying the dishwasher and washing the coffee pot when in blunders MCB. Obviously he had been out gettin' his drink on as he waddled past me grunting a few words and stomped up the stairs to bed. A few moments later, I heard yelling coming from MCB's bedroom. When I inquired what the matter was, he mumbled down something about "What The Hell Are You Doing Down There ??!!". I was confused because all I was doing was loading the dishwasher. But in the interest of avoiding an argument I apologized for what MCB apparently thought I had done wrong. I then continued with my tasks but much, much more quietly than before. Apparently, cleaning up is something that should never be done when MCB is around. It seems to anger the beast. Cleaning should be seen not heard. I think we need to hire the Underpants Gnomes from South Park to clean (quietly) in the middle of the night. They would be cheap to hire since MCB's bedroom would be a gold mine of

The Hobo Drum . . .
2007-08-25 16:51:20
So MCB has this crazy Hobo Drum in the backyard where he likes to burn things.  Usually whilst he and his buddies kick back and have a few drinky-poos.  I guess it sort of sets the mood or something.  He fills his Hobo Drum with cardboard, papers and wood he picks up around the house and or yard.  He's always very excited when he finds some new something or other to burn and he is constantly asking me for junk mail. Even like this morning when hubby and I were debating what to have for breakfast and he didnt' believe me that there were Eggo waffles in the freezer.  The reason he didn't believe me is because he never saw the box.  The reason he never saw the box is that it was nabbed early on as fodder for the Hobo Drum fire.  Now I just have to figure out if it was put in the Hobo Drum fire pile because he really thought that the Hobo Drum needed more substance or if it was because he didn't want me to annoyingly write down the calories for the Eggo waffles should I so ch

The Rollercoaster of Moodiness . . .
2007-08-19 07:44:18
So, since MCB has been back it has been a veritable rollercoaster ride of mood swings. Your never sure which MCB you are going to come home to. For example, the other day hubby and I came home from work and were greeted by the sound of grunting from the broken down couch where MCB spends three quarters of his life. Top that off with the fact that it was an angry grunt. Now mind you, we had been at work all day and therefore had done nothing to deserve the angry grunting of MCB. We then went to exercise (exercising in and of itself makes MCB angry) and when we returned, he was like a happy little puppy with his tail wagging wanting to talk to everybody. Mind you, this was only an hour later! From day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute there's no telling what ride you will step onto when dealing with MCB. As they say at Disneyworld, For the safety of you and other riders, please keep hands and feet inside the car at all times! And remember, Don't feed the Animals -- you migh

He's Baaaaaack . . .
2007-08-12 20:46:32
So camping is over and MCB is back at the ole homestead.  He came back home this morning at about 9:30am and promptly sat his buttocks on the couch and didn't get off the couch until about 8:30pm.  He played video games, watched TV and ate the entire day.  Nothing more. The killer of today is that he makes the statement when he came home that he just bailed this morning on helping clean up at the campsite.  I mean are you then going to wonder why people don't call you or invite you to things when you just blow off the part of helping clean what you yourself helped to mess up?  He says he cleaned up his mess but I know MCB and he's not so great at picking up after himself.  At least if he stayed he would've felt obligated to clean up thoroughly.  This is probably why he left. I dont' know, it just seems to me that he keeps on alienating eveyone around him. If I were involved in that trip I can tell you right now, I'd be pissed off. Oh well, what can you do, right?

And on the Menu Tonight . . .
2007-08-09 21:20:48
So MCB comes home tonight with quite the little buzz on which is good and bad.  Tonight it was okay because it was a happy buzz kinda night.  So I won't complain about that.  We are always thankful when he's happy no matter what the cause.  But I digress - so he comes home almost killing me because he decides to yell into the kitchen window when I am doing dishes.  Then he proceeds to make himself some food.  Now mind you, I was just finishing up cooking so I had to hightail it out of his way so he could get his food going.  He made two giant cheeseburgers both on white bread and about 4 servings of french fries.  This is not to mention whatever it was he drank with that.  I know it wasn't milk unless he decided to go with our skim milk which I highly doubt.  Perhaps I inspired the cheeseburgers for him with the turkey burgers I was cooking for me and hubby with the 1 serving of fries each . . . there is no wonder to why he is so damn big that's for sure. And trust

MCB's going campin'
2007-08-09 21:12:14
So MCB is going camping this weekend.  This is a good thing because it means we'll have some MCB free time at the ole homestead.  But the wierd thing is that he has been "preparing" now for days but to me it seems like he is nowhere near ready to go.  The only thing I can really see he has out is his tent.  But it's not like he's aired it out or anything and aren't you supposed to do that before you go camping?  Well, to be honest I guess if the smell coming from the laundry room doesn't bother him then nothing will.  I'm sure that smell is getting blamed on the cat box in MCB's mind.  But honestly we just changed the cat box so I know for a fact that this is not the source of the atrocious smell coming out of the laundry room.  It is days like this that makes me glad we just go to the laundromat. . .

What smells in the Laundry Room?
2007-08-08 21:52:39
I am totally not sure what is going on but it smells an awful lot like something died in the laundry room. I think it may have something to do with the fact that all of his wet stinky used clothing is sitting in there unwashed.  When you are close to 400lbs in the summertime you dont' smell so pretty!  Yuck.  Although, I seem to remember thinking it stunk even out in the yard so maybe something is dead and rotting out there.  I'm not going to try and check it out that is for sure! Well I also guess it could have something to do with his sneakers which are sitting in the doorway of the laundry room too.  But it kind of seems like a different smell than that to me. . . oh well, as I said, I won't do too much investigating because I am just afraid of what I might find out!

Does the Eating ever Stop?
2007-08-07 21:32:42
So last night I made homemade pizza. It was very good but here's the thing. My recipe makes like 6 pieces of pizza at roughly 350 calories each slice. Between me and my husband we ate 2 pieces at 700 calories between the two of us. MCB then proceeded to eat the rest of the pizza which totaled up to roughly 1400 calories in pizza alone. This is almost as many calories as I eat in a day. He consumed this in 1 meal. This is not to mention the 3 or 4 beers he had before that or whatever else he shoveled into his mouth the rest of the day. Tonight I made Hamburger Helper. I wonder if he finished the rest of that off? That would be roughly 820 calories for his dinner tonight - oh and I keep forgetting to mention the milk he drinks with everything. And this is whole milk I am talking about here. He usually makes himself at least 1-2 glasses of chocolate milk a night. And did I mention this is with whole milk? And this is on top of all he is eating. When I go to the grocery

What's with the Dead Flowers?
2007-08-07 21:21:45
So I come home tonight to find MCB outside with the garage doors wide open (sidenote - since we have been staying with him all our stuff is in the garage this is why I get a little upset when the garage door is just left sitting open) and he's at the back of his truck with a whole bundlefull of dried up Black-eyed Susan flowers. It looks to me as if he was picking out seeds or something. So we go to the park to exercise (this is something that MCB hates because he doesn't want to see me loose any weight. This somehow points out the fact that he is about 200 pounds overweight - but I digress) and we come back home to MCB I ask him about the flowers because I am curious and I can't help myself. Apparently he has the flowers because he is going to somehow seed his yard with them. This seems like a lot of work to me especially since he could well afford to pick up some Black-eyed Susan seeds on his own but whatever. He then starts to go into a whole lesson of how flowers procre
