Mopar Dodge Team Makes the Cayuga Rough Race 2007-09-04 03:59:39 Dodge Parts impressed the spectators of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series as the Mopar Dodge Team made the Cayuga Speedway last Saturday. After going through a rough time at the middle portion of the race, Ron Beauchamp Jr. and his platoon still made it through and their performance parts remained unscathed.
A sense of improvement for the team began with qualifying and Beauchamp was able to post the 9th quickest time in the Mopar Parts Dodge. “The car was feeling better than it has and I knew we’d be able to run well in the evening conditions” said the driver afterwards.
There was plenty of action early in the 200 lap main event at the 5/8 mile oval with a spectacular multi vehicle collision in the first few laps. “I saw it happening and just went inside across the grass to avoid it” said Beauchamp. The Mopar Parts car would escape with only some body damage to the right front fender but it would severely impact the team’s fortunes.

Performance Parts Goes Green 2007-09-01 07:25:26
Introducing the Hail Eco One, the race car with the greenest of all credentials. The body is created from hemp and rapeseed oil and the tires are made from potato starch. Its performance parts were created purely from green and eco-friendly materials that were gathered with Britain’s gaining popularity in driving green cars. And it runs on fuel derived from fermented sugar beet. Yet the car’s greenest of credentials don’t hold it back on the tracks—it packs a powerful performance too from its all-natural performance parts. Then again, the performance of environment-friendly cars is often subject to debate; critics have branded them as slow and sluggish.
There’s even an official league table for various categories and models, with the cleanest vehicle exempt from road tax. In fact, those with electric cars already benefit from free parking as well as exemption from road tax and congestion charge.
Thanks to cutting-edge technology, a green car can be lean and mean to Read more:Parts

The Mazdaspeed 3 2007-08-31 07:01:10
The hyped-up Mazdaspeed 3 is all about its factory-tuned version of Mazda Parts that will surely rock the socks out of any speed enthusiasts foot. With its powerful engine that could generate 300 ponies under the hood up to its chassis-riding on a racetrack-type coil over suspension kit; this ensemble of performance parts definitely means business.
The appeal of the Mazdaspeed came into focus during the test drive’s slogging through stop-and-go traffic. The car was said to feel strikingly “normal” according to some journalistts who tried out the car. Granted, that’s what you’d expect when you spend roughly $30,000—$24,650 for a Mazdaspeed 3 Grand Touring five-door hatchback and nearly $5,000 in aftermarket goodies. But you’d be surprised by how many tuner specials should be consigned to one of the lower circles of automotive hell.
Dramatically improving the Mazdaspeed 3 is a challenge. Thanks to a turbocharger, intercooler and direct injection
Honda Sets Out Testing in Japan for the 2007 Japanese Grand Prix 2007-08-30 06:54:42 Honda
Racing plans a head start as they set out for testing the new Honda Parts in Japan
. With nothing to lose, Honda Racing say they plan to debut several different aerodynamic concepts on their 2007 car at the JapaneseGrand
Prix.
Jacky Eeckelaert, the team’s director of engineering, says they had always planned to introduce some new performance parts on the RA107 in time for the Fuji race. But with the team’s dismal showing this season, they have decided to debut and test parts which will end up on next year’s car as well.
“The Fuji upgrade was always planned for the last three races,” he tells Autosport magazine. “But now with the arrival of (Loic Bigois and John Owen) in the aero department it will be different from what we originally planned because we have new philosophies and different concepts from their previous teams. And they want to try those out on this year’s car.”

All Eyes on Warren Johnson 2007-08-28 06:32:33
All eyes are hot to spot the GM Performance Parts GTO knight WarrenJohnson
for the Mac Tools US Nationals in Indianapolis. “The Professor of Pro Stock” has greatly improved during the qualifying and the elimination rounds in the previous races. Watching the distinctive yellow and blue hot rod, only a few might realize the tremendous effort and skill required by the six-time champion simply to get it down the track. Johnson hopes to have an easy and smooth race over the competition.
“Although we’ve been somewhat successful over the last few races, we believe we have yet to extract the maximum performance from our GM Performance Parts GTO, simply because it hasn’t been going straight,” stated Johnson. “We’ve done as much due diligence as we can in trying to correct the problem, trying to get the right balance in the car. We feel that we’re right on the edge, and now it’s just a matter of getting it over the hump. This weekend&rsquo

New Saab in Frankfurt 2007-09-12 01:23:24 Turbocharging continues in the new Saab Turbo X high-technology model, which made its debut at the first press day of the Frankfurt
auto show. Before all the performance parts were developed, turbocharging was the concern for Saab. It all began exactly 30 years ago, at exactly the same place, when the first Saab 99 Turbo model was presented to the world media at the 1977 Frankfurt auto show.
At that time Saab was alone in pursuing turbocharging as a reliable and realistic means of extracting more power and efficiency from a production engine. Saab’s success over the next three decades shows that imitation is, indeed the sincerest form of flattery — there are now few manufacturers who do not offer turbocharged models.
That’s because the attractions of turbocharging are even more seductive today than they were three decades ago. It is the key to what Saab calls ‘rightsizing’. Less is more. A turbocharged engine is lighter, smaller and more fuel efficient than a non-turbo,
Volvo S80 gets new performance parts 2007-09-11 01:05:21 The Volvo S80 gets some improvement as German tuning and motor sport experts Heico Sportiv integrate various performance parts on the vehicle.
With a high-tech aluminium-look exterior and a 350 hp bioethanol engine, the S80 High Performance Concept is destined to be a true attention-grabber at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
“We wanted to explore how far we could take a special high-performance version of the S80. Heico Sportiv’s impressive track record in motor sports and Volvo tuning made them the perfect partner for the job,” says Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President Brand, Business and Product Strategy at Volvo Cars. He adds:
“Personally, I think the result is absolutely stunning. Both when it comes to the exterior and interior design as well as the impressive muscle under the bonnet.”
The turbocharged T6 Volvo engine has been modified to run on E85, which is 85 percent bioethanol and 15 percent petrol. This is a biofuel that is becoming increasingly wi
Boosting Mitsubishi’s Performance 2007-09-08 03:56:01 In order for high-performance vehicles to work at their optimum, their horsepower must be increased. That means looking for the right auto performance parts, which meet the needs of a particular vehicle. Car owners in fact can do some basic refinements to their vehicles to raise horsepower and performance.
Take for example Mitsubishi
cars, whose engine can be improved by Mitsubishi performance parts. Changing the disposable air filter when it becomes dirty ensures that the air running to the engine is clean. Another Mitsubishi auto part, the cold air intake, lowers the temperature of the air going into the car. A new cold air system replaces the factory airflow assembly, which includes the air filter, air box, and air path. Clean air provided by the air filter and cold air by the cold air intake increase the power of the engine. Apart from that, a cold air intake system causes more attractive intake sound and engine bay. As opposed to some other auto performance parts, cold air intake Read more:Performance

Hyundai won’t be left behind 2007-09-21 00:44:11 Getting the most out of a vehicle is great, but improving their current performance is far better. Hyundai
recently unveiled a line of performance parts aimed at enhancing the power, sound effects and styling of its cars. It offers countless possibilities and noteworthy upgrades.
The Korean automaker is set on helping drivers get the most out of their cars while spending the least amount of money possible.
To test some of their performance parts, Hyundai invited journalists to test an Accent SR that is equally dominant on the road and on the track. One journalist drove the car on the Dunnville racetrack in Ontario and was highly impressed. Of course, the powertrain remains unchanged and still delivers 110 horsepower. But thanks to new SR-type air intakes, this sub-compact Accent is now able to breathe more easily.
Also included are sport-tuned suspensions and a few other upgrades such as lower side body skirts and ABS brakes. To some critics, “it is a small kart with incredible handl Read more:behind

Warren Johnson prepares to race 2007-10-11 20:54:55 Preparation is the key to success, especially in the motorsport industry. All the racers and their respective teams can do is to prepare themselves and their vehicles by equipping them with the right performance-enhancing parts. This is just what legendary racer WarrenJohnson

GM aims high in SCCA Race 2007-10-06 20:39:36 In this year’s 44th Annual Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Club Racing National Championship Runoffs, GM will be aiming to make it 52 straight years of winning at least one SCCA National Championship.
It all started in 1956, when Dr. Richard Thompson gave GM its first SCCA National Championship win. He was then driving a 265 cu. in. V8 Chevrolet Corvette. GM-powered cars have consistently won at least one National Championship every year since then. This is an exceptional feat, considering that no other manufacturer has done it and could match it.
“For performance vehicles to have a credible place in our customers’ driveways, they must perform on the race track,” said GM Performance Division executive John Heinricy. “We’ve worked very hard in recent years to get some of GM’s most capable performance models classed to compete in SCCA, so our success is no accident.”

Possibility of Ford Focus RS? 2007-10-17 22:25:48 Carstoday.com recently reported of sighting of what looks like a revived Ford Focus
RS at the Nürburgring, despite Ford’s consistent denial of such model.
Ford has repetitively said that there is no possibility of an RS successor to the Ford Focus
ST, but spy pictures and speculations says otherwise. The basis? A mystery black test mule was seen around the Nürburgring.
The test car was reported to have larger front air intakes and alloy wheels, and a sizeable rear wing and is looks more like an ST.
Reports say that the RS is packaged as a rally-inspired hatch that will be powered by a 3.0-liter in-line six engine that delivers 224 or a turbocharged version of the ST’s 2.5-liter mill with 209 KW. It will also feature an all-wheel drive system from Volvo and heavily reworked by Prodrive. Some also say that the RS will compete directly to the Mitsubishi Evo X and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
