No Gossip Girl This Week 2007-12-12 23:12:52 Okay, so I missed the boat on this one…
There my friends and I were, champagne in hand (hey, it was the Top Model finale!) and we saw it… a promo for “Crowned” which looks like, quite possibly, the worst reality show in television history (and that’s saying a lot). At the bottom of the screen, the words, “premiering in 30 minutes.”
Say what?
So, yes, no Gossip
Girl this week. It’s next week.
Sigh.
At least Saleisha won Top Model.

Are These Chace Photos For Real? 2007-12-12 18:05:03 It appears that some of these pre-Gossip Girl Chace Crawford photos are the real (cheesy) deal… But rumors have been flying fast and furious that some of the more “revealing” photos are Photoshopped. I can’t find anything to substantiate the latter. So here you go…
The cowboy ones are hysterical. But the boy is from Texas, so give him some slack.
However, there’s just no words to describe this one, I had to throw it in for kicks:

The cool thing about Gossip
Girl is that there are so many couples to root for. It has morphed beyond the predictable “will he get the girl?” storyline with Dan and Serena.
Dan, of course, got the girl. The question is whether he’ll keep her (more on that later in the week).
But, for now, there are some new pairing to consider. So for your consideration:
Dan - Vanessa or Serena?
Nate - Blair or Jenny?
Chuck - Blair or Vanessa (oh yeah, I’m throwing it out there)
Lily - Bart or Rufus?
Rufus - Lily or Alison?
Erik - Jenny or Roman (oh c’mon, like you weren’t guessing that Erik was gay)
Blair - Nate or Chuck?
What do you think? Who is the hottest couple on the show right now?

Is a Gossip Girl reality series on the way? 2007-12-22 14:08:53 According to TV Guide, flyers are circulating in the New York area that read:
“Are you the real Gossip
Girl? Maybe an adorable Seth Cohen prepster who hates TV? Either way, we’d love to chat with you. We’re looking for NYC prep-schoolers for a reality
show [to air on] a major youth-oriented network.”

Girl has always been the place to hear fresh, hot music. It’s about to become even better.
Gossip Girl will feature music from Ed Westwick's band, The Filthy Youth, on an upcoming episode. Westwick co-wrote and performed lead vocals on two songs, "Orange" and "Come Flash All You Ladies," which will be showcased in "School Lies," on January 2.

In the “School Lies” episode, Serena, Blair, Nate and Chuck
break into the school swimming pool for a night of fun but when a member of their group nearly drowns, the school threatens to expel the person responsible for the break-in. Now we know what the headmaster is talking about in the promo.

Apparently, Jessica Simpson
wasn’t happy about Terrell Owens’ comments about her over the weekend. He claims it was only a joke. “I guess she was kind of upset about it,” Owens said.
Tony Romo’s now-girlfriend (following stints with Carrie Underwood and Sophia Bush) has been under scrutiny following his disastrous game with the Dallas Cowboys against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He had not played that badly in almost a year - when then-girlfriend Carrie Underwood was in the stands.
Football fans have answered by creating a website at http://www.ruinromo.com imploring folks to, among other things, make Jessica Simpson popsicle stick dolls to carry to the stadium.
Whew. Bet Carrie is certain that she dodged a bullet by dropping Romo for Chace Crawford - the chances of a ruincrawford.com site are pretty slim.

"Roman Holiday" Recap 2007-12-19 21:00:09 Blair’s father is home for the holidays… and he brought his boyfriend with him.
Other pesky boyfriends are also making their presence known, starting with Alex, Allison’s boyfriend. Alex sent a letter to the Humphrey home, making Rufus angry. Allison claims that it’s over but Rufus learns different from Alex. Rufus confronted Allison about his discussion with Alex - and Allison says that she told Alex that it was over.
Blair is glad to have her father home but distressed to learn that he has bought a house in Lyon to share with Roman
. Blair is not happy to have Roman around and schemes to drive him away.
Vanessa enters Dan into a writers contest for The New Yorker.
Serena bought Dan a Christmas present - an expensive watch. He refused to accept it because of the cost. They agree to set some guidelines, including a $50 price limit. Vanessa overhears and tries to help out with a gift but Serena turns her down.
