There are so many variations of this shot I can try. I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of these guys. I wish I had given this just a touch more DoF, while still fading the focus. The artistic weakness of long lenses is that they flatten the perspective, but I think that worked in my favor here.by emphasizing the density of the flock.

- November. This stream ends up in Maridalsvannet, the water reserve of Oslo, Norway. This little detail abruptly caught my eye when actually shooting a waterfall nearby. I have not uploaded the shot from the waterfall because all my attempts to make a good image of it have failed….maybe later!
- I love winter! In nature there are so many elements that collides with eachother, so many opposites, that I love to look at and photograph. Like this water as both soft element and hard element, heavy and light and therefore it never disappears. It only changes.
The natural contrasts in this image are fascinating and powerful. One of my favorite images of water and ice.
