Where am I? 2007-11-30 03:00:29 Life has its ups and downs. My mood has been on a roller coaster ride recently. I have no mood to do anything despite that I lack nothing. Could it be my goals were not achieved? Nothing new since I didn’t write them down and work towards them. Yet, I wonder if I were really upset about my lack of my goals being achieved.
I haven’t accomplished my 1st million. Important? In this era, how to achieve?
Personal development, have I changed or improved myself? Not that I can see except that I no longer get annoyed easily by the nemesis, MC.
Job scope unsatisfactory. Yes. I am bored. Very bored to tears, really. It had become routine and that was why I was literally crying when I came to the office last week. A talk with my manager relieved the mood a little.
At this stage, where is my life going? Where will I be?

Luckily, my dad was going in the direction I was going and I took a lift from him, It’s a very good thing I did too. The groom was super stingy. I doubt it would be enough to cover the taxi fare either.
It was also a good thing I had another lift from his friend too. It started to rain heavily just as we left the place after the ROM buffet. Overall, this event was very simple. No time was the phrase I kept hearing. Let’s see how tonight goes.

OMG! I have a Bike Named After Me! 2007-12-13 18:43:54 Tada! My very own bike with my name stamped on it. I’m so proud of myself.
Without pedals, the bike gives kids a running start at bicycle riding to develop balance and confidence. The design, which converts from a tricycle to a mid-sized two-wheeler to a larger two-wheeler, can replace myriad "cheap" bikes that a family might buy.
Isn’t that cool?

Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. Frustration 2007-12-12 21:43:35 My muse is playing hide and seek with me these days. Or has it been weeks? Perhaps. I haven’t been exactly blogging about quality posts. Just ranting or rambling on abut things that doesn’t concern me. Well, weddings do concern me except that I’m only the supporting role and why the heck do I even get blue when all I have to do is to delay the groom?
Perhaps I feel restricted that I may not be able to even play some games because it’s actually a pity to have a fallout with the bride when it’s just some game that shouldn’t even hurt anyone. Having known the bride for years, the morning pranks or activities is obviously simple. Ask for a huge red packet / ang bao and get it done with. No torturing the groom to go through the process of sour, sweet, bitter or spicy.
No asking the groom to sing diabetic sweet songs to serenade the bride. No asking the groom to shout from that basketball court more than 200 metres away to declare loudly “I LOVE < Read more: Frustration
I Want to Visit Sea World! 2007-12-12 16:53:37 I love holidays. December is the busiest time at the airport because almost everyone is traveling some where. Some for honeymoons, some for leisure and others for returning home for the holiday. Christmas and New Year are both hot periods for traveling.
With Chinese New Year following soon after, it’s always a time for holiday travels. One of my holiday destinations is to visit the Disneyland. Florida’s Disneyland is said to be one of the largest theme park. I like to visit Movie World
, Sea World and other theme parks. With so many Worlds to visit, we can’t forget the tickets, can we? Sea World Tickets, Movie World Tickets and many other tickets to places we want to visit.
It’s always wiser to buy tickets at a cheaper rate than to buy at the counter itself. Besides Disneyland, there’s this theme park in Orlando that offers the fun that we want too. Not to forget, my favourite marine animal at the park, dolphins. Lovely and clever, they learn things fast an Movie Night 2007-12-12 10:09:17 Back from Suntec City. Watched The Golden Compass with DD. Considering the low hype about it, I guess it was worth watching on a weekday. The family crowd as usual with one aunty stepping on my left foot. Yes, that poor left foot that got the big toe nail lost and the little toe nail lost too.
DD was falling asleep at the cinema because there was so little action in the movie. I love the War Bear. He may be scarred faced but he sure is cute and manly. I wonder how on earth can he be both manly and cute at the same time. That golden compass is something else too. I wonder if I can get a working replica. Ok, maybe the replica can’t do the same thing as in the movie but it would be nice to have one that moves
Oh, it’s a chronology. Aye, I’ll be having white hairs when the subsequent movies come out.

You Got Message 2007-12-12 02:28:46 Life can be boring and so you try to make yourself slightly less bored. I was just doing my job and this colleague loved to say “You got message.” That’s because my Dopod 838Pro has this built in message alert “You got message.”
It’s his favourite phrase whenever he is bored or just passing by. Eventually, he was so bored that he decided to use SameTime and “U got msg.” Yeah, right. He was so bored that he decided to do this. Sometimes, it’s colleagues like this who make or break your day.

Miami Life 2007-12-12 00:27:05 Living in South Florida must be wonderful. With so many residential choices, you’ll be spoilt with the range being offered. I wonder if I’ll be able to live in W South Beach Condo with DD one day.
It has 19 levels, facing the beach featuring 511 units, each with unobstructed, ocean views. I can either select from the studio, one, two or three-bedroom. For a more spacious living, I can also select one of the five bungalows and eight penthouses. I’m starting to love it.
DD and I both love spa and the South Beach has the Bliss Spa complete with infinity-edge pools, private showers in the secret garden, private pool cabanas with flat screen TVs, two restaurants, business center services, wireless Internet, meeting rooms, concierge service.
Ah, this is life in Miami

Well, I don’t know if I should be celebrating for this domain. Perhaps I would once I reach a certain number or date. As for today, I have the following data.
With 708 posts and 967 comments, contained within 44 categories and 125 tags. Akismet has protected your site from 6,183 spam comments.
The spam comment count is only for this domain. For my old domain, you can imagine with so little posts, I’ve more than 10,000 spam comments in total. I think I might be giving away something when I reach the 800th post. If I remember.

card from Thiru. After I discovered that I have emailed the wrong street number. Must have been induced by poor sleep. As the card had been sent on the way, there was no choice but to wait. Thank god that there is no such street number here.
Now, here’s the card that will never be sold in Singapore.

Thank you Thiru! As an afterthought, I’ve been using too many e-cards. A card in its physical form used to be fun for me, be it sending or receiving. Now, where did I put my mailing list of my friends?

Earrings by Simply Chic 2007-12-22 04:09:46 I’m into earrings. I have just purchased 3 new pairs for Christmas and Chinese New Year. Sometimes, I just buy because I love them. My box is now going to be filled up if I continue like this. Seems that these handmade earrings are such a dear that I really want to have them!
[via Flickr] - very dainty too
[via Flickr] - classy

In case you are wondering if there’s only earrings, fear not, bracelets and necklaces are also being done by Simply Chic. Note to self: Must curb buying spree.

Meme for Christmas 2007-12-21 05:49:51 With Christmas
coming, the blogsphere won’t be complete without a Christmas-y meme, would it? I’m here writing the meme because I’m stuck at home with medicine infested blood besides being tagged by Modobs. I was so looking forward to joining the girls at the Christmas gift exchange too!
What do you really want for Christmas but you know nobody will get it for you?
Something shiny but then again, that shiny thing would be more suitable for Valentine’s day.
What do you not want for Christmas but you know that somebody will get it for you?
The heavy rain on Christmas.
When do you open your gifts (Christmas eve or Christmas morning)?
Erm, immediately. Unless it’s during a gift exchange, it’s after everyone has collected theirs.
Do you prefer gifts wrapped or in gift bags?
Wrapped. I like to keep the wrapping papers but these days, there is too liberal use of the scotch tape.
Did you re-gift anything this year?
No. I do it only if I hate that gift.
Wh Movie Marathon Month 2007-12-20 00:48:28 This month, I’ve watched more movies with DD than any other months. I’ve watched The Heartbreak Kid, 30 Days of Night, Alvin and The Chipmunks and National Treasure 2 - Book of Secrets. All of these within 2 weeks. Whew. With all these shows being watched in the evenings, I’m falling sick. Oh and DK, your dear is sweet. Maybe I should have exposed you

Goldheart Bridal Set - Elegante 2007-12-19 21:43:15 What bride would be without a bridal set? I’m in love with this bracelet from this bridal set by Goldheart.
[via Flickr]
And no, don’t ask me when either. I don’t know. But my friends, do take note. You can give me this set when I send you my invitation card.

Sports Bedding 2007-12-18 02:07:39 Anyone who love sports would want their beds to have sports theme. Sports
Bedding
provide you the comfort and design that you like. With surfing dudes, hot roaring motorbikes, football, soccer, snowboards and race car themes, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
[via Vision Bedding]
With Christmas coming and I’m running out of ideas what sort of gift to get for DD, but I’m sure DD would be very happy with this Lamborghini bed spread. It’s unique and should be standing out from others. Besides, having your very own sports theme bedding make you stand out from the rest of those bed spreads that are either plain, striped or using repeated patterns that are not to your liking. Vision Bedding provides true life photos on the bed sheets and they are vibrant which is a contrast to the traditional bedsheets you can find in the stores.
This Christmas, get a sports bedding for your loved ones or friends.

No co Don’t Ask Me When 2007-12-17 23:05:33 I’ve been asked way too many times and I feel it’s never too good to ask people such a question. My colleagues were talking about marriage during lunch and they touched on “When is your turn?” topic. With lots of red bombs these few months, I’ve been asked this question numerous times. The last time I was asked, the relationship ended. So, if you want me to get married, don’t ask me.
Call me pandang or superstitious but if you do care about your friends, don’t ask them such a question if you expect the couples to get married. Let the river flow and your friends will be grateful for being thoughtful and feel happier attending the events.

Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. Pink Bikini in Lift 2007-12-17 20:48:03 This man must be suffering from identity crisis. He decided to wear nothing but a set of pink bikini into the lift early in the morning.
Tan Wen Zhong, 21, admitted to five charges, including “outraging the modesty” of the woman who shared the lift with him and “fraudulent possession of women’s underwear”, Singapore’s Straits Times reported.
So, what did he claim?
In mitigation, Tan’s lawyer said his client had been badly affected by his parents’ divorce during his formative years.
I wonder what’s the link between a bikini, divorce and formative years. And I’m starting to wonder about perverts I’ve met.

A Drunk Tried to Touch Me 2007-12-15 17:55:35 It’s no longer safe to wait at the bus interchange. I was on my way home from the wedding dinner when this drunk, yet another dark skin, stared at me. I walked away from his line of stare. Not happy, he mumbled loudly and attempted to walk in front of me as close as possible, twice. I was contemplating to walk home when he tried to make his advances on me. Seriously, the police should patrol the dark places and even bus interchanges at night.
I didn’t take a taxi because there was a jam forming at Orchard Road and I doubt that they would magically appear unless upon booking. It used to be safe when I got home late at night in my area. Now? It’s no longer safe. I have to worry about drunks, perverts and lord knows what else. Oh, and disappearing taxi drivers.

and this morning, I slept at 3am. That’s because I went to attend a Christmas party with DD at his friend’s place. The friend was so helpful. As the girlfriend, or as long as anyone is a woman, she is to buy the gifts for the gift exchange. Men and their ideas of what a woman should be doing. Them and their ideas of women doing the traditional role of housekeeping and looking after babies. Well, that’s if the men can bring home the bacon, ya?
Now, with 10 plus people attending this party, there has to be food. At 11pm. With fried chicken, wanton, salad and pizza. That’s a lot of food when there aren’t so many people attending. No wonder DD is getting, erm, more Buddha like. Now, what’s a party on Christmas Eve without a gift exchange? The drawing of the lots was simple, each gift had a number, you just pick one number from the box and the gift is yours, except not what you have bought.
DD had a cute photo frame with a bear holdin Read more: Party

Family Portraits 2007-12-23 20:59:13 My parents love to take family portraits. However, every year, the only guy who would put a scowl on his face is the brother, not the youngest brother. The bland face would be my father. Kinda reminds me of this. Never smiling but yet the one who would initiate the photo taking sessions. Are all fathers like that?
Do guys really hate to take photos that much? I mean, can’t a nice smiley face do? It’s a family photo for crying out loud. You only get to keep that particular age in that time and year. You don’t get to be 15 or 16 always. Not physically anyway.
It’s a heartwarming way to keep such family portraits. You can flip back and look at them fondly, well, for my case. Reminisce about the good ol’ days. The days of yester years. Speaking of which, I have never kept the family portraits! Oh No!
Oh and Merry Christmas everyone!
