2008-05-22 19:00:00
In one of my earlier post I had discussed about the blast at Mumbai. Its is been more than a year since then, and here we have the latest blast at Jaipur. In this long one year our government is yet to start their initiatives against these terrorists. Condolences, political visits to the site and everything else is still on, but ask them what is the action they have taken to prevent these things f

The Trip to Naini Tal
2008-05-17 19:00:00
The summers in Delhi was at its peak and the temperature was the highest in a few years. the heat was unbearable. That weekend for a long one for me as I was fortunate enough to get three weekly-offs together. This made it the perfect moment to plan for a weekend getaway to Naini Tal. Naini Tal was about 320 Km from Delhi and the drive was joyous. We crossed villages in Moradabad and Hapur and saw

World Environment Day
2008-06-04 19:00:00
Today is the "World Environment Day". Fliers, posters, banners, mailers and many more such things are on the internet and everywhere. A handful of people are working hard to generate a bit of awareness in people towards our environment. Our environment is deteriorating with every passing day. But we just do not want to bother about it. Mother Nature keeps pinching us every now and then with a sli

I Joined Social Spark
2008-06-07 19:00:00
I joined Social Spark a few days back. Now what is Social Spark could be the obvious question right? In one line the answer would be that, "Social Spark is an exciting place where I monetize my blog, make friends, enjoy and all this with complete honesty". Social Spark is another effort from Izea to help bloggers who are interested in making money from their blogs. I had received an invitation to

The DTC revolution
2008-06-14 19:00:00
The Delhi Transport Corporation is said to be the largest bus network in Asia. But the condition in which this transport system was maintained did not live upto this. A travel in one of the DTC buses was a nightmare but a lesser one as compared to the privately owned and run 'Blueline' buses. A shabby conductor sitting in one corner of a hot baking oven, with less or, no interest in handing over a

An Ironical Law
2008-06-25 19:00:00
Destroying wildlife is a crime but is protecting wildlife also a crime. This story is of a poor man who tried to save a sloth bear who was orphaned. He brought the bear cub home, fed it and cared for it like he cared for his only daughter. But what he got in return from the law was torture. When the wildlife officials got to know of the bear and Munda, they arrested him for violating wildlife law

Winning the consistent way
2008-07-08 19:00:00
"Winners don't do different things; They do things differently". This is a statement that any book of positive thinking would start with. Nobody would want to disagree to the fact that this is true and is important if you want to win. Another statement that one would hear a lot of times is that, "maintaining the winning momentum would help you keep winning". Now if you read the above two statement

An hour in an Online Casino
2008-07-16 19:00:00
I have been reading about online casinos for some time now. You would also find quite a few advertisements on websites that promote online games, but I had never had the chance to participate in one till yesterday. One of my friends had introduced me to an online casino that he was a frequent visitor to. My first reaction was not very positive but a few minutes in one of them and my perception was

Beijing Olympics - The beginnning of a 24 days penance
2008-08-07 19:00:00
It was 08:08 PM on the 8th of August 2008. A point in the day when all counters of life were at '8' - a number some considered auspicious and yet others not so auspicious, the reason for which, I really do not know. Beijing was lit up with fireworks and lightings and the Bird's Nest hosted the grand opening ceremony of the Olympics Games. China has spent a huge amount of money on hosting this Oly

2008-09-05 19:00:00
Your dream house is actually a dream - a much cherished dream that you want to make a reality. Right from the moment you conceive this dream house of yours, you plan to do a lot of things in it and there are lots of plans that you have for it. When you decide to finally go ahead and construct this dream house of yours is when you start putting the pieces of the jig-saw puzzle in place. Unlike some

Media Coverage - How much Justified?
2008-09-03 19:00:00
When I hear the term, "Media", the first thing that comes to my mind is a news reporter interviewing a helpless calamity affected villager, asking him all the useless questions that one would never even have imagined. Since the time media has been given complete autonomy, we have forgotten the good old days of the news-reader reading out the news from his news-room occasionally going to the corres

Metro - The Pre-cast revolution
2008-09-01 19:00:00
Traffic-snarls were not a rare scene in the city of Delhi till about a few years back.It was normal to spend about an hour or, so at each traffic intersections, if it had a signal and more than a couple of hours if, the intersection had no signals. It was then that the government sanctioned the Metro-rail project and this changed the face of the city. The Metro-rail symbolizes the advent of techno

Playing online poker
2008-08-28 19:00:00
I was a person who had always tried to keep away from online casinos and pokers and would  keep advising people of the same. But  a few minutes spent in one of the poker rooms changed the entire perspective. The time spent is worth it and also helps in earning a few quick bucks.

The thirst for a medal
2008-08-19 19:00:00
India finally managed to get a couple of medals at the Olympics. Three sons of the nation saved our face from yet another humiliation. A couple of days back there was an entire nation praying for the success of three boxers who managed to sneek into the quarter-finals of their respective category. All of a sudden there was so much hype with television channels interviewing their parents and friend

I am Casino freak
2008-09-25 19:00:00
Casinos were a big no-no till about a few days back for me. In one of my posts earlier I had written how an hour spent in one of the online casinos changed my perspective towards them. The Companionship of the Music Box
2008-09-26 19:00:00
As I spent my summer vacation this time in my native home, I was digging through the many wealth in the store room of the house to find things that were of my interest. I suddenly stumbled upon a huge box of the size of about 2 feet. As I cleaned the dust of it, I discovered that it was a radio. I couldn't have left it there because the memories attached with that radio was much more that with any
