Chelsea Officially The Arsenal Feeder Club 2007-09-01 07:04:24 And we all thought it was Beveren. Having seen Diarra play for Chelsea
a number of times I have always been impressed with the player. Since we missed out on signing him from Le Harve to Chelsea in the first place it seems Wenger has finally got his man. Natural successor to Gilberto? Maybe.
Do we [...] Read more:Arsenal
Arsenal 5 Derby 0 2007-09-22 11:51:07 So I have been busy and not had time to mention the fantastic win against Sp*rs followed by a 3-0 victory in the champions league against Sevilla. Is that the kind of result Ramos might have to get used to if he decides to ply his trade at White Hart Lane?. With the kind of [...] Read more:Arsenal
Wenger Signs Contract Extension Until 2011 2007-09-07 06:06:48 The BBC reported the news that Wenger
had signed a three year extension to his contract yesterday and it has now been confirmed by Arsenal.com. If Arsene stays until the end of this contract in 2011 (he has never broken one yet) it will make him Arsenals longest ever serving manager.
I don’t think many [...] Read more:Extension

Arsenal 3 Portsmouth 1 2007-09-03 14:47:55 A highly entertaining game in which we played for more than 40mins with 10 men and still came away with a comfortable 3-1 victory against a decent Pompey side. We got off to a great start when David James decided to come for a ball he was never ever going to get and [...] Read more:Arsenal

Gilberto Leaves For Panathinaikos 2008-07-17 13:30:34 Arsenal have confirmed the transfer of Gilberto
to Greek side Panathinakos as expected. At 31 and after falling down the pecking order at Arsenal, its not a surpise to see him moving on. Panathinakos have apparently offered him a great contract meaning he will be the highest earner in the league and we know Wenger [...]
Wenger’s Choice 2008-07-17 05:25:34 A low key start to the day today, and with the Hleb story still dominating i’ve decided that i should never have to say the man’s name again. So with that in mind if there is ever any need, he shall, from this moment forward, be referred to as Splinter and nothing else people!
If you [...] Read more:Choice

Hleb Completes Barca Switch 2008-07-16 14:28:43 Well this is the story i’ve been longing to see. Finally we are going to see the back of that rat-faced git they call Hleb.
“Alexander Hleb has been officially presented as a Barcelona player following his move from Arsenal.
A deal with the Gunners had already been agreed, which was reported to be in the region [...] Read more:Barca
Invisible Wall And Invisible Enthusiasm 2008-07-16 02:58:25 It would seem that Gilberto will be departing the club this summer and heading to Panathinaikos after six years of being the “invisible wall” in the Gooner midfield. There has been constant speculation since his place came under threat from the emergence of Flamini.
“Greek sports radio Station Sport FM claims that the Brazil international will [...] Read more:Enthusiasm
Quotes, Interest And A Warrior. 2008-07-15 12:40:26 Well there’s nothing groundbreaking to report for you Gooner fans today, a sneaky phone call is probably the biggest news of the day.
According to Martin O’Neill, Pat Rice made a call to check how things were going with the Liverpool deal and to drop a suggestion that Arsenal maybe interested in the services of Garteth [...] Read more:Interest

”The Iceman Cometh” 2008-07-12 09:25:08 Here at Goonerblog we decided it’s been too long since we have been able to drool over the majestic talents of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.
The man who made Nikos Dabizas his unwitting assistant in one of the most magical goals in history against Newcastle and whose cheeky chips where nothing more than his bread ‘n’ [...]
Arsenal Get Samir Nasri 2008-07-12 04:57:17 Ok I’m back, I have been out of the game a while with a few other projects but Goonerblog will now be updated regulary. Probably.

Young Guns, Old Guns And New Guns 2008-07-20 09:29:09 Starting with the young guns, they put in a pretty good performance yesterday beating Barnet 2-1 in the first friendly of the season.
Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wiltshire both put in classy performances with Ramsey controlling much of the play in the first half with positive forward runs and creative passing before a host [...]
Rosicky To Miss Start Of Season 2008-07-19 04:50:20 Well this is right out of left field. I think a more surprising story would have been ‘Rosicky to play some part in the season’. This is what the man himself had to say:
“I know I’ll miss the start of the club season,” he told Czech daily Sport.
“According to plans I should be back on [...] Read more:Season

The Re-Hash 2008-07-18 04:08:38 I’m sure that the Goonerblog readers will agree with me that there is nothing more annoying than the same story being re-hashed day after day untill there is actually some real news to report. It’ll also come as no big surprise that the story I am talking about is the rumoured interest in Gareth Barry, [...]
