2,000L$ @ L’s SkyClub
2007-08-31 19:54:41
Looking to earn more L$? With gambling gone, many locations that offer easy L$ earning decreased in numbers. I’m not a gambler but let’s face it, many Second Life residents relied on gambling as a source of in-world income and when that was banned, many businesses suffered and many camping locations disappeared. Fortunately for us, there are other ways of earning L$ like joining “Best In Theme” contests which is very common with clubs in Second Life. An example of a club that offers such a contest is L’s SkyClub but what’s special about L’s SkyClub is that they give away as much as 2,000L$ as contest prize to their “Best In Theme” contests. That’s a lot of L$!!! Best In Theme? A “Best In Theme” contest is like a popularity contest where you must get people to vote for you. To join a “Best In Theme” contest you must, of course, be in Theme. For example, if the Theme is “Best In Yellow” then

More Value for your Ads
2007-08-30 18:58:44
Ad Spaces are available for rent at 3 Stars and a Sun1. I added this service to help support and keep the place up. Current rates are: Old Advertisers (those who availed the Intro Offer) : 10L$/Week New Advertisers will be charged 20L$/Week But your Ads at 3 Stars and a Sun get more value because if you rent an Ad Space at 3 Stars and a Sun a brief or summary of your Ad will also be randomly displayed here at my blog and once I updated MMORPGREALM.com then your Ads will also be rotated there. I think this kind of additional service exists only at 3 Stars and a Sun. At 3 Stars and a Sun, you are not only advertising your service and business in-world but also in the real world. So, come on over at 3 Stars and a Sun and grab those Ad Spaces. The name 3 Stars and a Sun was derived from the symbols of the Philippine flag [↩]

2007-08-29 17:40:03
Camping rates had gone down and camping spots are getting fewer and fewer but don’t lose hope my fellow campers there are still many camping spots out there. Below is a list of camping spots for you to visit. New Buildings For You
2007-08-29 16:12:38
I haven’t built any buildings in the last few weeks because I was and still am experiencing some major lag in-world but today I took some time to try and build something. As always, Second Life was a little laggy but that didn’t stop me. I went 500 meters up in the sky while sitting on a small block, created a platform to work on and started building some low prim structures. In building, I try to keep the prims used to a minimum. Prims are very important, the more prims you save in one object gives you more prims for other objects you might need. Oh, I forgot to mention that I do most of my building at my place, 3 Stars and a Sun. I was able to build 3 and here are some snapshots: I was able to keep the prim count from 8 to 14 prims thus giving you more prims for other objects like vendors, signs, tip jars or whatever object you need to put in your space. If you are interested in them then you can get them at SLExchange and in-world at 3 Stars and a Sun.

Red and Yellow M&M
2007-08-27 06:34:19
There was this thread at SLExchange’s forum with references to M&M , you know those chocolates that melts in your mouth not in your hads, LOL! Catching the idea from the forum I went in-world and started building it (the M&Ms). Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish fast enough. I got stuck with the texture part but after some good-old trial and error tactic I was able to create and line up the texture the way I want. I started with the Red M&M and I built it big so that I can easily align each prim. I’ll just resize it to my desired size after. Using the Red M&M as a template, I made of copy of it and had it modified to become the Yellow M&M. I created the face and eye texture in Photoshop1. I made some mistakes but that didn’t stop me. After applying the textures, I made some minor tweaks and had both M&Ms shrunk to its current size. I made them wearable by attaching them on each of my shoulders. The 2 M&Ms make a good avatar decor

Star Trek, USS Nimoy
2007-08-25 17:51:37
I was randomly hopping from Sim to Sim when I found this place. The place was a reconstruction of an Akira Class Ship named USS Nimoy (I hope I got that right). When I landed, I didn’t know where I was. I looked around, walked through hallways, rooms and corridors and even fell down an elevator shaft. That was one painful way of getting down. Ha ha ha! Only after seeing a photo of Mr. Spock made me realized that I’m inside the Star Trek Universe or at least part of it. I continued with my exploration of the ship. Falling down the elevator shaft brought me to the hangar. There were some fighters (or whatever it was) there and I even sat inside one. Not knowing how to get back up, I used SL’s camera controls to pan, zoom and rotate until I found a chair to sit on. Sitting on the chair automatically took me there. I was able to see the following in my exploration of USS Nimoy: The Bridge The Mess Hall Mr. Spock’s Room The Teleporter Room The Engine Room and a lo

Earn 100L$ (Closed)
2007-08-24 10:24:23
Earn 100L$ by completing a simple survey about your Second Life experience. I found this offer posted at Second Life’s forum and decided to give it a shot and luckily it’s not a scam. I got paid 100L$ today. Below is the full details of the offer as posted at Second Life’s Forum: As my MSc project I am looking at ways that Information Technology can be used to improve the ‘community’ within Second Life. The survey should take between 5-10 minutes to complete and asks simple questions about what you like to do in Second Life and what changes you would want made. The survey has qualifying questions. In order to be paid the $100L you must: Meet the criteria and answer the survey in full. Give your avatar name (otherwise I have no way of locating you for payment) You will not be paid if you do not qualify for the survey, if you exit the survey before completing it or if you do not give your avatar name. All information you give is treated as CONFIDENTIAL a

Evolution Pro Wrestling
2007-08-22 07:34:52
I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was a kid and up to now I still watch some Raw, Smackdown and even Impact when I get the chance or free time. Back then my favorite wrestlers were Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, LOD Hawk and Animal, The Undertaker, Sting and many more. Currently, I don’t have any favorite except for Sting and the Undertaker who are still active wrestlers. Today, I visited a wrestling arena in Second Life and this arena is owned by a Second Life wrestling organization named Evolution Pro Wrestling. I found out about this SL wrestling organization in SLExchange. They were like hiring wrestling commentators for their wrestling events. Since I don’t have a landmark to EPW’s arena, I searched the classifieds using “wrestling” as the keyword and they were listed. I teleported and had a look around. Below are some snapshots of the place. The set-up is very

Boxing at Averlast
2007-09-23 17:26:10
Do you want to see what an official boxing match at Averlast looks like? Well, here it is! The fight was between Abel Undercity and Shaun Arliss. If I remembered correctly, it was 3 rounds of boxing and if you want to know who won then just watch the video.

Rom visits Dune
2007-09-21 23:23:32
Today, I visited the sim named Dune which was inspired by Frank Herbert’s Dune. It was a very quick visit because I had a bad experience with one of the “Architects of Dune”. The good thing about my visit to Dune is that while searching for it I found another Dune inspired sim, the Dune Emporium.

Tools to improve your Blogs!
2007-09-21 04:56:34
I’m always looking for ways to improve my blogs (and other websites) and I’m pretty sure most bloggers do too. During my search, I found 3 cool tools or websites that bloggers or even webmaster can use to improve and/or test their blogs or websites. I’ve added them to my blogroll so that I won’t forget to use them. BrowserShots. Different browsers sometimes render websites differently. A website or blog may look good in Firefox but it may look broken in IE and these are only 2 browsers. There are so many browsers out there and checking your site in each one of them may take a lot of time but not anymore. You can use BrowserShots to take screenshots of how your website will look in various browsers. It’s so easy to use too, just enter your URL, select the browsers, hit the button and wait. To see the screenshots of how your site looked in various browsers just hit refresh and it will show it to you. With BrowserShots, you don’t need to install every

Not a soul in sight!
2007-09-19 20:31:29
I still have Voyage Century Online installed on my PC so I decided to drop by and say Hi to my Guildmates in ~Poseidon~. VCO’s launcher did a quick update and judging from how fast it finished I can say that not much was added to the game since I last logged in last April, 2007 which is sad because VCO is large game and I was expecting a huge client update. I spawned at high seas near London and I had problems controlling the ship. I already forgot how to play the game, hahahaha! While I was trying to re-learn the controls my favorite NPC Pirate appeared and attacked me, Emanuel Wynne. I entered Sea Battle in a panic because I already forgot what to do. Emanuel Wynne rammed my level 6 ship and caused some damage to it. While I was still feeling my way around the menus and controls, Emanuel Wynne was bombarding my ship with cannon fire. Finally, I was able to find the grapple icon and decided to grapple Emanuel Wynne’s ship because that’s the only way I will win this

Not Qualified, Bummer!
2007-09-19 17:29:33
Today I received a group message from First Opinions Panel regarding their new survey which if qualified you’ll be invited to a focus group that will pay $100USD. So I copied and pasted the URL into my browser’s address field and got ready to answer some survey questions but unfortunately after selecting the region where I am located the next screen presented me with the dreaded “not qualified” message. Aw, that sucks! Anyway, those who did not qualify will be entered in a draw that will give them a chance to win 1000L$ (but I want $100USD, hehehehe). If you want to earn some L$ to support your Second Life then what are you waiting for join First Opinions Panel now. You can also join other survey/research groups like Market Truths and Reperes-Second Life for even more L$. Oh and don’t forget Earn2Life amd Slam-X too. They are not survey/research related but you’ll earn L$ from them too. Goodluck!

250L$ Survey
2007-09-13 13:40:00
I received my very first survey invite from Reperes-Second Life. The survey has a payout of 250L$ to be paid to respondents after the survey period. The survey was about co-creation with Real Life Brands in Second Life and it only took me a few minutes to complete it. Remember, in answering or responding to surveys make sure that you answer them honestly because if not then you take the risk of not being invited to future surveys or research.

Rom visits Burning Life (Skylar)
2007-09-27 23:13:50
We all have heard and read about Burning Life. Even, if you are new you will know about it because an announcement or message about it is plastered on your screen everytime you log in to Second Life. Today I visited 1 of Burning Life’s 22 sims and the sim’s name is Burning Life (Skylar) or just Skylar. I am not sure if this is the most active sim but I can say that it’s pretty full. The other Burning Life sims besides it were a little empty and open. As I understand it, Burning Life is all about “collaborative art and self expression”. My guess is, we will be seeing many Second Life Artists, Talents and Celebrities in this week long event. If you are bored and got nothing important to do then why not visit any of Burning Life’s 22 sims. As for me, I started my exploration at Skylar and I’ve seen some pretty weird and wild stuff already. Here is the first part of my Exploration of Burning Life (Skylar). I divided it into two to make the fil

Easy Ways to Earn L$ for your Second Life
2007-10-04 01:31:31
Let’s face it Linden Dollars (L$) is very important to all residents of Second Life. L$ is the life blood of your Second Life . Without L$, your Second Life experience wouldn’t be as enjoyable as you expect or want it to be. When you start your new life in Second Life you don’t get any L$. You start with nothing but this case only applies to those who registered with a Basic Account. Those who registered with a Premium Account will get a sign-up bonus of 1,000L$, a weekly stipend of 300L$ and the ability to buy and own Land but still those are not enough. As you go along your life in Second Life, you’ll soon find out that the 300L$ weekly stipend is not enough and then you’ll realize that you need other ways to get or even earn L$ to continue enjoying your newly found lifestyle in Second Life. Well, the fastest way to get L$ into your account is to purchase them from Linden Labs 1 but what if you don’t want to pay extra since you are already a Premiu

1,100L$ from First Opinions Panel

I was checking my e-mail account that is connected with Second Life when I noticed an IM from First Opinions Panel , Andy Evans. The IM says that 11 people signed-up with my new First Opinions Panel referral link and I was paid 1,100L$ for it. WOW! That’s the biggest 1 time payout I’ve received from any of the Second Life Survey/Research group that I am a member of. Big thanks to Andy and First Opinions Panel because, now, I have enough L$ to pay for 2 weeks rent on my land at Scaramanga. If you want to earn some extra Linden Dollars and you don’t want to camp then why not try any of the following Second Life Survey/Research groups: First Opinions Panel, if you wish to learn more about First Opinions Panel then click here! YouTube removed the second part of the video because of TOS violation. I just learned that YouTube now has a 10 minutes limit on user uploaded videos because before the limit was only 100MB. The video I uploaded was less than 100MB but a little bit longer than 10 minutes. So, I edited the video, removed and cut some stuff and then re-uploaded it to YouTube. Anyway, here is the second part of my visit to Burning Life (Skylar). Just to remind everyone that Burning Life ends on October 1, 2007 and in my case it has already ended since I’m ahead by a few hours but for those on the other side of the world that haven’t visited Burning Life, I guess today is your last chance to check it out!
