The crack that helps me sleep

So I finally remembered to buy some sleeping tablets. I was out shopping last week and as I left the supermarket I looked to my left and saw the Pharmacy and instantly thought "Right! Sleeping aids!" I heading in and bought some sleeping tablets.Not only do I have problems going to sleep, but I find it hard to stay asleep. I keep drifting in and out of it. The sleeping tablets are supposed to make you feel drowsy so you want to sleep, but that don't work that way on me. Rather than make me drowsy, they just keep me asleep when I finally get to sleep. Which is the next best thing I guess. These tablets knock my arse OUT! I woke up today and I feel like I've just come out of a 3 week coma. I first used the tablets on Wednesday night and I woke up the next afternoon like a Sage from Ocarina of time who'd been awakened after several years. I'd slept for 12 hours. I don't think I've ever slept for that long before. It's usually 6 hours of tossing and turning and drifting out of sleep

Near enough every Missy Elliott video is a kick arse visual fest. But her most striking video is that of "She's a bitch". It was directed by Hype Williams who at the time was one of the most expensive and sought after music video directors. Every rapper wanted Hype directing their videos because they knew they'd get a 3 minute visual masterpiece which would showcase just how much money they had. (Hype Williams videos weren't cheap). "She's a bitch" is also one of my favourite Missy Elliott songs and cemented (as if his previous productions weren't proof enough) that Timbaland was a beast of a producer and that his beats were unlike anybody else's. Super Smash Bros. Brawl pr0n

This game looks so sexy. Seeing it run in motion makes me want to touch myself. But I won't. *slaps own hand* The graphics in this game are insane. The animation is so smooth it's ridiculous and the stages look amazing. I have some cool videos of the game in action that I wanna show ya. The game appears to be much further in development than I thought. Sonic is fully playable and the game already looks pretty complete. The extra 2 months of development time is probably fine tuning. If Nintendo aren't satisfied with what I'm seeing right now, then it bodes well for the final code of the game. It looks awesome. Even if you're skeptical about this game, you need to be buying it. If you're a Sonic fan then you DEFINITELY need to be buying it. It'll be the first 3D game Sonic's appeared in that is actually good. Sonic delays Super Smash Bros. Brawl

You may remember a couple of days ago that I said things about Sonic the hedgehog's inclusion in Super Smash bros. Brawl like..."I was sure this game was going to be awesome, but Sonic could ruin all of that. Even awesomeness like Smash bros. could be ruined by one blue hedgehog. Sonic is like a Cancer. He just infects everything and makes it weak".Well I was right. Sonic is revealed to appear in the game and what happens? It gets delayed. Nintendo need to throw that hedgehog out the game. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is now slated for a February 10 2008 release in the US, with Japan seeing a January 24 release. Despite my rolling of eyes at that blue hedgehog, I'm not pissed off at this at all. I had always said that Nintendo releasing Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario galaxy and Super Smash Bros. She was wrong for cosplaying Princess Zelda like that. She looks rubbish. She looks more like Ganon. And I mean the beast Ganon, not the humanoid Ganondorf. The only thing she's managed to get down pat is the miserable face. Princess Zelda always looks friggin' miserable. I guess when you spend your whole life getting kidnapped and you have a kingdom to look after that there's little point in smiling. This game looks whack. The only thing I am feeling about this game is Mario doing a wheelie on a motor bike. Everything about this game just looks so whack and boring. It looks just like Double Dash!! I know you can't judge a game based on looks alone, but first impressions are important and on a first impression this game looks whacktastic. I can't even get excited about the online play, because we all know Nintendo is going to butcher it with no voice chat, bastard friend codes and lag with a race against anybody who lives more than 4 miles away from you.I wanna be excited about this game, but it's hard to when it looks so lacklustre. Sonic the hedgehog is officially a playable character Super Smash Bros. Brawl . This isn't that much of s surprise given how Nintendo and Sega have been chummy ever since Sony headshot Sega out of the console race and the shitastic looking Mario & Sonic game. I would've been happy with just Snake, but Sonic's is cool. It'll definitely rope in the Sega fans and he fits in well with the rest of the Brawling crew. "Sonic's the name! Speed's my game!" Puh-lease. He couldn't be any more cheesy if he ran around with a bag of cheetos on his head. I bet when Nintendo said to Sega they wanted Sonic in the game that Sega kept bowing until they got whiplash. No updates for days?! What happened!? Not much really. I wasn't able to upload images for some stupid reason and you know how I love me an image to accompany a post. Photobucket is being an arsehole and is f**king up every image I upload. It's causing all of my images to load slow and is being a straight up bitch. Blogger also decided to go iffy on me. Blogger can be a bitch on the best of days. I've been wondering whether to move over to a Wordpress blog, but that's a whole 'nother post for another day. So that's pretty much why there have been no updates! Not only that, but I've also been really busy. I'm going to be in busy mode for about a month, so if I end up posting less than usual (i.e No posts for days), then you know why.Just thought I'd let all 2 of you know! So I've bought myself another Virtual console title. I'd ran into a site which harped on about this game and how cool it was, so I did some research (by which I mean Googled) and read a load of reviews on this game, all of which were positive. I checked out a video of it in action and I liked the look of it, so I downloaded it. Just like that!I haven't had the chance to really sit down and play Sin and punishment extensively, but from the 10 minutes I've spent with the game I can tell you I really do like it. I was going to just bypass the whole 'I bought a game' post and just hit you with a review, but I doubt I'll be able to get one to you this evening. I've got 2 brand spanking new videos of Super Mario galaxy in action. Actually, I'm lying. They're not really that new. We've seen bits of 'em before. But Nintendo put them up on their official website, so why not share 'em with ya! One of the vids show Mario bringing sexy back as a Bee and the other shows Mario as a Phantom. I always referred to him as Boo Mario, but the official website calls him Phantom Mario. With the cool new transformations come their weaknesses. Super Smash Bros. Brawl: When worlds collide (part 2)

The Subspace emissary mode is making the Adventure mode from the previous Smash Bros. game look like rubbish. 2 player co-op, cinematics, a mini epic storyline to go with it all - Nintendo went all out for this mode. Production values for this game are off the charts. Check out part two of the chapter "When worlds collide ". I couldn't be bothered to post the first part because most folk who've been following this game and smashbros.com would've seen it anyway. It just shows Peach and Zelda getting kidnapped...again. Something we've all witnessed in games too many times to count or even care. So here's part 2. It's much more interesting with epic over tones and starring roles from Kirby and Petey Pirahna. Artwork of Mario wrapped in coils was unveiled a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't hard to guess how the power up would work. But non the less your blogger J was right about how it would do so. Check out Mario bouncing his fat arse around and working the Fire flower 2007 style.It's good to see the fire flower back again. I love the way Mario lobs 'em and how the fire looks sexy. I thought we were going to have the classic sound effect and the trademark look for the fire balls, but nope. New sound effects that sounds like something volcanic and fly looking fire particle effects. The funky new power up music as Mario works the fire flower implies that the effect of it is only temporary for a limited time. So we won't be able to go mad with it until we get hit and lose it. 3D artist and animator Jan Neves was kind enough to post me a link to his recent work: A self made trailer to a fictional Panzer Dragoon sequel. The only thing she's missing is not being Korean, but there's nothing she can do about that is there?! She gets bonus points for the low cut top and the trimmed body. Yes. I can see those abs. Soul Calibur Legends...still looking like crap

This game looks so crap. There is nothing even remotely striking about this game other than how bland it looks. The graphics look as plain as hell. It looks no better than Soul Calibur 1. Soul Calibur 1 was a stunning looking game...8 YEARS AGO! It's clear that Namco took the cream of the crop and had them work on Soul Calibur IV which is looking all kinds of amazing right now. I'm hoping this game surprises me, gets good reviews and is worth buying. But judging by the gameplay video and the screenshots, all signs are pointing towards it being doo doo.I can definitely see this being one of those 'buy at your own risk' kinda games. It has nothing going for it and the Soul Calibur name isn't so big that it can be plastered on anything and guarantee to sell like say Final Fantasy. Namco could've just given the Wii a Soul Calibur anthology. But no. We get this legends bullshit instead.And to think. I'm posting this because fellow blogger Junlee mentioned it. I'm not even sure what to make of it really. But here you go. Feast your eyes on it. Street Fighter IV is set to appear in arcades and also on the Xbox 360 and PS3. This marks the first time a Street Fighter game has been announced to release on home consoles way before its release in arcades. The game is slated for a late 2008 release in Japan. A new trailer showing in-game gameplay will be made available on the PSN shop and the Xbox Live marketplace on November 12. Ryu and Ken are the only confirmed characters, but Capcom have said that several familiar faces will make an appearance in the game. The graphics will utilize the brush stroke, cel shaded style shown in the trailer - somewhat similar to Okami, but despite the 3D models, the action will be kept on a 2 dimensional plane as with past Street Fighter titles. It's official that I need sleeping tablets and that I cannot sleep without them. The pack I bought last week was only a pack of 20 and I'm supposed to take 2 each night. I wasn't sure when I'd be able to buy some more and I've only got 8 left, so last night I thought I'd ration them - because I felt so tired I was sure I'd have no problems nodding off. Last nigt I came home, hopped in the shower, got in my pyjamas, tucked myself in without having taken my sleeping tablets and laid there......awake......tossing and turning......for 6 hours. The realization hit me there and then that the tablets actually do work and that I need them. They don't curb my inability to get into bed at a decent time, but they knock me out and help me sleep. It's becoming more and more of a problem. I spoke to my friend on the phone today and she was like "You need to go see a Doctor!" I think I really do need to. How must it feel to be a girl group who released a string of #1 hit singles across Europe, sold shit loads, got critical acclaim, disbanded, had it's members embark on solo careers which all tanked, only to reform and have your new album bomb and your record label drop you? I nipped to ASDA on my way home from work today and thought I'd kill 3 birds with one very large aero dynamic stone which was said to be found in a treasure chest in a dungeon and passed down from the heroes of Hyrule. I was going to post some gameplay footage of Metal Gear Solid 4. But I personally didn't find it all that interesting to watch. You easily could've been watching a video of Ghost Recon or Advanced warfighter or any other Tom Clancey game set in some war torn city. So I decided to post a podcast relating to Metal Gear Solid 4 instead, as I found this to be more compelling.This is an official Kojima production podcast in which Kris Zimmerman features. For those who don't know - Kris Zimmerman is a voice director and talent coordinator who has worked on all of the Metal Gear Solid games. So if you're a fan of the voice acting in these games (I know I am!) then you need to be thanking this woman. In this podcast she talks about her experience on working on the series and how her work on Metal Gear Solid 4 differed to that of previous games. New Wii experience videos are up on the official Japanese Wii website. Which means a bunch of videos of people playing a new Wii game, with at least one video of cute Japanese girls laughing, squealing "Kawaii" and being rubbish at what they're playing. The Japanese girls in the new Wii experience video are a bit of alright, but one of them can't play the game for shit. I love Japanese TV spots , because they're more than adverts. It's like the TV spot creators want all of your money and want the product they're showing off to be the only thing you buy and to also make you think it's SO good that you need to buy it three times. This Japanese TV spot for Super Mario Galaxy does just that. I might buy another Wii and a second copy of this game specifically for my living room. I may even buy a third Wii and a third copy of the game for the kitchen. I'm going to buy this game for my Grandfather for Christmas too. He doesn't have a Wii. He isn't even alive, but I'm gonna buy it for him anyway. Now THAT is how you do a TV sport for a Mario game Dag-nammit! Not like the rubbish North American TV ad with its "Look at me playing my Wii! Wow!! I can't close my damn mouth it's so amazing! Look honey, we can play it together with out stiff ass selves" bullshit.This game looks like wow. That doesn't make sense, but I don't care.
