Trinoma Mall 2007-08-26 12:10:00 Trinoma Mall is perhaps the most convenient mall in Metro Manila which is connected right away with the MRT Station. This mall, owned and operated by Ayala Malls, is very unique to the rest of its malls. First, unlike Glorieta, it is more spacious and it has more walking space for strollers. Aside from a wider walking space, the mall has more space for shops in area compared to its sister malls, Glorieta and Greenbelt. The unique facility that this mall has is its garden filled with pond and decorated with fountains and mist sprayers. The coolest spot can be found on the 4th floor where Starbucks, which is the only shop built, can be found. The coffee shops is surrounded with beautiful ponds and artifically planted palmera trees and encircled with mist sprayers which makes the place like that of SM Baguio. Visit Trinoma Mall now and see the difference.
Taco Bell at Trinoma Mall 2007-08-26 11:43:00 My first Taco Bell
experience at Trinoma was definitely delicious! The newly opened Trinoma Mall also opened its first Taco Bell outlet among Ayala Malls. The 1/2 pound burritos, soft beef taco, cinamon twists and cheese nachos we ordered filled our tummies to satisfaction as the taste was superb and price is reasonable! Large drinks are refillable but we just ordered medium ones as we are on a "diet." Also, try their other Mexican dishes like, enchiladas, fajitas and other variations of tacos and burritos. Taco Bell at the Trinoma Mall, North Avenue, Quezon City, is now open to serve you with authentic American-Mexican dishes.

Reposting an Old Article About Some Misconceptions of Davao City 2007-08-25 16:16:00 Below was one of my original list of the things that a former female colleague of mine in the previous company and my former landlady here in Makati, thought and perceive about the different adjectives that they could imagine and misconceptions they knew about my hometown, Davao City. Below the items are the comments of my good friend, Rex Villa. I hope these information will give change the perception of those who don't know much about Davao, and Mindanao.> 1.) They thought that Kinilaw is also the kilawin that they know. The goat meat rather than the fish.>> 2.) They would ask, "Dabawenyo ba ang salita doon?". They don't know it's still Bisaya.Well, bisaya got a lot of variants... Obviously they ask if it is Dabawenyo 'coz they don't know... nothing wrong about it, is there?> 3.) They would ask, "Saan ba sa inyo sa province?" They don't know Davao City is already a city.Well, anything that is not part of the Metro M is province to them. :D> 4.) They would ask, "May streaming ra Read more:Article

Language/Dialect Differences Between Tagalogs and the Bisayans 2007-08-24 01:32:00 1.) "Bisayans" do not observe the "po" and "opo" of the Tagalogs. It's just that we have not embedded it in our daily lives especially in communication.2.) We do not usually use the titles "kuya" or "ate" when addressing people who are not our direct and close relatives. When being called "kuya" or "ate" the connotation is that you are that old and gives a negative impression. We only use it to elder relatives. We use the generic term "bay or bai" or "pare or pre". Other dialects may have other variations such as "parts" or "pare koy" and etc..3.) When we usually get off the jeepney, we rarely only do and say "para". We sometimes accompany it with a knock on the ceiling of the jeepney or whistle or even hitting the arm bar with a coin. The Davao dialect uses the term "lugar lang", which means to put the vehicle on a proper disembarking area.4.) Verb conjugation is quite difficult for me as using an English term and conjugating it like "process", "collect", "text" and "kain". In Tagalo

Shopping for Ukay Ukay in Manila 2007-08-17 09:54:00 Two days ago, we were in Bambang to scout the outskirts of Manila
for some good old Ukay-ukays (2nd hand clothes). There, a few blocks from the confusing 168 Shopping
Mall clusters ABCD and Tutuban Center Mall, we found a huge warehouse, which was a public market turned into a 2nd-hand bazaar shop of clothes, bags, accessories and anything branded or second hand you may think. Thus, when we got out, the whole surrounding buildings nearby was indeed a haven for ukay-ukay fanatics. It was even more amazing to see Louis Vuitton bags at the price of just 1k to 1,5k, Florsheim and Gucci shoes at the price of 1,5k to 2k. Original Addidas shorts and exercise apparels at the price of P50 to 100. Two-piece suits (coat and pants) at the bargain price of P300, with various American labels to choose from. Branded jeans at 100 to 200 each and a whole lot more. From bags, to shoes, anything to wear, even panties and bras are there. You name it, they got it. The bad thing about going there is forge

2007-08-17 09:09:00 Kimi ha Petto (You are My Pet) きみはペットIwaya Sumire works as a journalist for a newspaper company and stumbles across the path of a teenager, Goda Takeshi, who is rebelled against his parents. They met when one night when he found the boy inside a box with wounds. The story becomes more interesting when the boy doesn't want to leave Sumiresan's house, and instead, both agreed that he will be a dog pet in the house. To which, this was just an escape for Sumiresan to forget his long endearment with the loss of his pet dog Momo. Thus, Takeshisan became Momo, Sumiresan's dog. The story becomes more complicated when both got entangled with their previous love affairs. The plot is quite simple yet interesting. Most of the characters here already appeared in my previous movie review posts.
Garage Storage Cabinets 2007-08-14 09:28:00 Garage Storage Cabinets
The 4-piece modular garage organizer will most likely fit my garage. It's kinda stylish and with a bit of elegance. With this setup, I can organize my carpentry tools, automobile tools, electric and plumbing tools in each cabinet. The cabinet panels on both ends would serve as storage for my carpentry tools and car-repair tools. The center piece is perfect for my electrical tools since I have many of them. I will be able to categorize and sort each of its kind in the different level-storages that it has. Screwdrivers, pliers, electrical tapes would fit on either the first 2 levels. While different kinds of tools, bolts, nuts can be stacked on the 3rd to 4th levels. Meanwhile my plumbing tools would I think fit on the last bay which is mostly composed of monkey wrenches, pipes, and hand-held metal saws. Read more:Garage

Movie Review: You're Under Arrest 2007-08-12 05:56:00 映画評論する:逮捕しちゃうぞMovie Review
: Taiho Shichau ZoThis film highlights the dynamic duo of female police officers from Bokuto Station along with their funny old Division Chief and Section Chiefs, and the entire traffic police, who are mostly composed of women, that are more interested with goukon (dating men and women) than apprehending traffic violators, will surely spark your interest in this drama series. In every episode, there is always mystery and action like apprehending traffic violators. Even encountering hostage takers in a bus. However, I find the plots quite common and simple. The man involve in one of the main characters is quite old for his role. The ladies in the Bokuto traffic station are all indeed beautiful. Read more:Arrest
Movie Review: Densha Otoko 映画評論する:電車男 2007-08-12 05:38:00 This is a story about a weird young guy who loves manga and helped a woman in a train from a vicious drunk old man that showed discourtesy toward her. It was indeed an opportunity for this man (otoko おとこ、男) which he showed heroism and courage to help the woman under attack by the old man. Apparently, the woman showed courtesy by giving the Otoko a very precious and expensive gift. Thus the story started, as the Densha Otoko (Train Man), is continuously putting all of his escapades and experiences with this woman on the Internet. And has been closely followed by a small group of readers which then eventually grew big and changes their lives utimately. In order to experience having a date, the Train Man constantly consulted online from his readers on what to do and where to find items in order for him to get closer to that lady. This is a very interesting story as some websites on the Internet say that this was a phenomena in Japan last year. Indeed the story of the Train Man i Read more:Movie Review
Wowowee Controversy 2007-08-30 02:48:00 A recent episode of a noontime gameshow in the Philippines sparked and fueled the feud between a rival noontime show on the other channel. The said host, Willie Revillame made a mistake on identifying where is the wheel which contained the P2M. This sparked a controversy when the host apparently switched something at the back of the wheel. It seemed suspicious that there were indeed two films inserted in the wheel and when the player chose the one who has P2M, they will pull the film which showed the the number zero (0). Davao City Airport Terminal Fee is Now 200 2007-08-28 03:27:00 Today, the Department of Transportation and Communication, signed the effectivity of increase of the Airport Terminal fee in Davao City from P40 to P200. This is a 500% increase from the previous amount that Davawenyo travellers are enjoying. In fact, Davao City has the cheapest airport terminal fee in the whole Philippines. To think that the Davao International Airport has been that beautifully designed, we only pay P40.00 to the government. With that we bid farewell to the previous P40.00 airport terminal fee that we have been enjoying for the past 5 years. I hope this money that they will collect will go to the enhancement of facilities and security details of our international airport.
