I'm 52 so I'm sure you women around my age understand that it can become excessively hot even in a 72 degree room just out of the blue!! When you're sitting in A/C it's a surprise when your head begins to perspire, your blouse begins to become wet with some unknown flash of heat and when your head begins to pound and your heart flutters and it feels as if you are an old steam engine with a whole crew throwing coal into your middle parts to stoke the fire...BUT WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO SELL A HOUSE?It's just plain annoying. My dog day of summer. My Choice. 2007-08-18 23:01:40 Saying Goodbye:Last night our lovely dog Buddy lay in the living room floor and wailed in pain. He was reacting to my daughters' sympathetic, melodic voice. He had been so brave and was always a talker. My husband would pull out the bag of dog food each evening and Buddy would begin his song of "Ri Ruv Roo" with distinguishable syllables. His tail would rotate full circle and his smile with his impressive white teeth would mouth, "hurry up and feed me" while doing his Labrador dance. Buddy was a drop off. An unwanted drop off. But, after two attempts at giving him away he was brought back for the final time and we decided he could stay. We already had Sadie, our very large Rottweiler, and Jill, our needy Australian Shepard. We soon lost Sadie and Buddy stepped right into the role of taking care of Jill. Most people including and not limited to Baby Boomers, the almost Baby Boomers, the pre-Baby Boomers, and the rest of everyone else would like to live on or near the water. That covers just about everyone. Why? Well, we ARE mostly water. The miracles of life include the fact that we could not live without it. I began to come into adulthood in the 1970's and was baking my body on the beaches of Clearwater Beach, Fla. I worshipped the sun. When I hit my 30's it was necessary to have that healthy "sun kissed look" that we all avoid now. Today, in my 39's and holding I am still drawn to the cool blue waters, the sun sparkling on the waves like diamonds and the slightly fishy, wild aroma that washes in with the waves. I was so excited to come across Active Rain! Somewhere I could just be me and it didn't matter. I blogged till my fingers hurt since I'm the worst typist in the world. But, all I seem to read lately is how everyone is being "catty". I am disappointed in this site. I felt thrilled when I read Chris and Marti, TLW and Karen too.
