Paintings show year 2000 (from 1910) 2007-09-12 08:50:37
Paleo-Future: This is pretty cool. A French artist in 1910 portrays the year 2000. My favorite is the Car Shoes! Read more:Paintings

New at Monroe YMCA - exercise bike game 2007-09-11 06:11:59 I don’t bike much, but I watched people try this out while I was running my 3 miles on the treadmill (Monroe
YMCA), and it looked really fun. I decided to give it a shot. Luckily there was someone on the second one sitting next to me to show me how it worked. You first pick a track. You can choose between racing tracks or outdoor trail, mountain courses, trails, etc. I chose an ocean side trail. I started racing and was told I should pay attention to the pace rider -the trick is to stay ahead of the pace racer. You also need to pay attention to the % of incline, according to if you’re going up a hill or down one. You can shift gears, just like on a regular bike to pedal easier, or harder to gain some speed. Pretty fun - my only complaint, I couldn’t coast downhill.. In no time, I completed almost 3.5 miles and my legs were burning. It’s like you hardly realize you’re getting a workout! Buy my broken ipod 2007-10-01 14:04:28
I unfortunately am going to have to use this service. I bought an iPod a little over a year ago. Now, it has an error, that I believe means that the hard drive is busted. The good thing about this is, that it looks like my broken iPod is worth $75.00 !! This beats the $0 I figured I had laying there. woohoo! Before I send it in, I’m going to research the cost of a new hard drive, this might be cheaper than just buying a new one.
Oh don’t forget.. - Send yourself future reminder text messages! 2007-10-11 10:03:05 OhDontForget.com - what a sweet concept. I plan on setting up reminders to all my friends, say, around 2 a.m. on a work night. :) I can see this being used for something useful though - reminding me to go to the dentist or something.. iTunes playlists online - listen for free! 2007-10-05 10:07:50
Nutsie is a community type website where you can upload your iTunes
playlist and share it with the community.
I’ve registered and am trying this out. It works well. It would be cool if the genres of music were grouped together to make it easier to find playlists, but what the heck - free streaming music rules. Gotta keep playing with this, I’m sure I’ll find more features. Read more:online

Online finance tracker 2007-10-19 06:03:27 check this out.
its better than wesabe, the online financial one i was using before. wesabe you had to download the file from your bank, then upload the file to wesabe, then code everything. somewhat worth it, but i never had time for it, so i quit using it. this one automatically downloads information for you every night, on not only bank accounts, but credit cards too.
so super freakin easy. and all my money shows up in one place, instead of loggin into four different sites.
amazing.

More free music (to listen to!) 2007-10-18 07:25:20 AudioRaider: These sites seem to be popping up all over the place since Singingfish was taken down. What this does is search for files around the internet that people may have uploaded to their webspace. To download them, I suppose, wouldn’t comply with the laws of the recording industry, but to listen to, I don’t think they’ve outlawed that yet! I was really surprised by the search results - complete albums came up for me!
Beta test Firefox 3.0 - Friday, November 9 - 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2007-11-08 12:49:09 I’ll definitely give this a whirl. Can’t wait to see what they’ve done with it. I’m new to Thunderbird, and am really loving it. I receive maybe 1 spam a day, as opposed to 30-40 day, as I was receiving on my Mac Mail. Click here for more info on the Firefox

Google phone 2007-11-13 11:00:31 I meant to post this a while back, but haven’t had the chance. In case you’ve been hiding under a rock (like I have been), here’s a good video to hear about Google
s new open source phone
technology.
Free browser based photo editing 2007-11-12 13:19:37 Today I had a chance to review the browser
based photo editing
software Picnik. I was really impressed. Picnik has created a simple registration process, and an even easier way to connect to your Flickr pictures. Open a photo and begin toning it. Features include cropping, rotating, auto correct, lightening, sharpness - and more. Save them right back to your Flickr and move on to the next photo. A very useful site - especially for folks that don’t want to dish out all the $ for Photoshop. Picnik also supports Picasa, Facebook, Photobucket and Webshots.
Play chess online 2007-12-19 11:03:15 One of my buddies just taught me how to play chess
. I’ve always been kind of hesitant to learn, because it seemed like something you had to take a year of college to learn. Well, like most things in life, I was wrong. The basics of the game are quite easy to learn. I hear there are all kinds of strategies and such, which I’m sure I’ll learn in due time.  In the mean time, I’ve found a neat site that you can sign into, and start a game. My settings are that each player has to make a move every 3 days.  We started yesterday, and have made several moves since. You receive an email each time it’s your turn. Here’s the link - it’s called GameKnot.com
For a faster chess game, which they say (and it’s true!) is “Cup of Coffee Compatible.” - See InstantChess.com.  You pick a screen name (no logging in) and you’re matched up with a player instantly.   I’ve played a few and have been destroye Read more:online
