Who Is on Top ? Rock and Lee, Rockin’ and Sockin’
2007-09-20 07:51:25
September 20, 2007 Pamela Anderson obviously likes bad boys that can’t act right in public. Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, both ex-husbands, had to act out in front of each other and her at the MTV Music Awards. According to witnesses, Tommy started pawing Pam Anderson, in some strange attempt to antagonize Kid Rock. When Kid Rock ignored Lee’s behavior, Tommy stood up in a way “that looked a little weird, like “Yo What?” Kid Rock then backhanded the drummer. Kid Rock presents a different story. In an interview on WRIF on September 13, 2007, Kid Rock detailed Lee’s history of disrespectful behavior toward him and said he was incensed when, upon returning to his table at the VMAs, he found that Tommy had taken his seat. So what is it between these two men and can they ever get along? (more…)

September 19, 2007 Today’s moon is in Sagittarius is normally a lighthearted moon, except that it is sitting on top of power packed Pluto, in tension aspect to Mars in Gemini. It works like this. Each zodiac sign has a polar opposite. Though each sign has its own unique traits, they also share some with their polar opposite. These expressions encompass Self, Values, Knowledge, Resources, Leadership, and Service. Where these axis’s fall in our chart is where we need to earn our merit badges. (more…)

Love ‘Em, Hate ‘Em–What We Adore and Despise About the Signs
2007-09-16 05:57:14
September 15, 2007 Aries, What we love about you is your raw courage. You go where angels fear to tread. However, along with that ‘to heck with it’ attitude goes a ‘to heck with them’ attitude. We’d like like it if you paid more attention to the other guy. Taurus, your practical nature is a soothing balm to a hectic world. Your stubborn attitude is a canker. Lighten up, will ‘ya? Gemini, witty and sociable, you’re just plain fun to be around, when you’re around that is. When things get sticky, you feel icky, hence the disappearance act. If you want to keep your friends hang around for the tough parts. You might learn something. (more…)

Bam Margera–Why Pluto Owns Him
2007-09-27 07:07:57
September 27, 2007 Margera (born Brandon Cole Margera on September 28, 1979, West Chester, PA, name legally changed to “Bam”) is a professional skateboarder and television personality. He released a series of videos under the CKY banner and came to prominence after being drafted into MTV’s Jackass crew. He has since appeared in MTV’s Viva La Bam and Bam’s Unholy Union, both Jackass movies, and Haggard, which he co-wrote and directed.” In August he checked into rehab at the insistence of his wife, and checked out three days later. He apparently is abusing the prescription drug Adderall, an amphetamine used to treat ADD and hyperactivity as well as severe cases of depression. It is also apparent that he is in denial of the seriousness of his problem, even though one of the signs of drug and alcohol abuse is . . .your mate or partner complain that your substance abuse is damaging your relationship. So what is in store for the professional skateboarder a

The Four Stooges
2007-09-26 05:51:51
September 26, 2007 A mish mosh of modalities dominate today. A Grand Cross is formed by aspect, but not by modes, as cardinal Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries form challenge aspects to mutable Mars in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius. Cardinal signs initiate action, while mutable signs react to their circumstances. The reaction is one of irritability in the face of challenges. The Aries moon desires to rush to action, without considering the consequences to others, while the Libra Sun wants to evaluate the effect of the action on others. Gemini Mars wants to talk about it, but goes on and on in typical fashion, never reaching a point. Pluto in Sagittarius wants us to “get” the lesson, but we’re not sure what the lesson is. Would it be “How to Annoy People in Ten Easy Lessons”? Its like watching a Three Stooges routine, as they slap each other around, only there are four stooges today. (more…)

Full Moon Madness?
2007-09-25 05:15:18
September 25, 2007 A United Kingdom medical firm, Essex Medical & Forensic Services, plans its staffing around the full moon, claiming that the need for medical service peaks at this time. “At the University of Miami, psychologist Arnold Lieber and his colleagues decided to test the old belief of full-moon “lunacy” which most scientists had written off as an old wives’ tale. The researchers collected data on homicide in Dade County (Miami) over a period of 15 years — 1,887 murders, to be exact. When they matched the incidence of homicide with the phases of the moon, they found, much to their surprise, that the two rose and fell together, almost infallibly, for the entire 15 years! As the full or the new moon approached, the murder rate rose sharply; it distinctly declined during the first and last quarters of the moon. “ (from Innerself.com) Yet, others claim that there is no full moon effect as in this Meta Study. So what is going on with the full moon, and does it

A Good Day to Get Something Done
2007-09-24 06:39:13
September 24. 2007 The Moon starts off in a Grand Trine with the planet of action, Mars and the planet of communication, Mercury, indicating a window of opportunity this morning to communicate your plan of action. The kink in this would be the New Libra sun making its entrance today. Libra wants to think things over, talk it over, and well, put things off as long as it can. This will cause some friction with the powers that be, who just want to get “right down to it”, so if you find yourself under the calming influence of the Libra Sun, shake it off and get moving! Fortunately for us, the Pisces moon is in harmonious relationship to the planet of work and responsibility, so we will all do just fine, as long as we keep our nose to the grindstone! astrology, horoscopes, zodiac, Moon

Basinger and Baldwin, Who’s Zooming Who?
2007-10-04 07:55:30
October 4, 2007 In terms of battling ex’s, only Britney and Kfed, outshine Basinger and Baldwin in terms of acrimony. Baldwin’s recent treatment of his daughter highlights just how nasty the former power couple’s relationship is. Here’s why. The conflict between Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin is fueled by their flawed personalities and complex psychological needs. Both are fire signs, he an Aries and she a Sagittarian. Initially their relationship flared with fire sign enthusiasm, a genuine liking of each other and a hot sexual connection. They fell in lust immediately and in love shortly thereafter. The danger with firecracker relationships like this is that you don’t have time to evaluate what you are getting into. (more…)

The Ties That Bind, Why She Stays
2007-10-03 05:09:41
October 3, 2007 As mentioned in yesterday’s post, an abusive man is a master manipulator drawing in women under the guise of the Prince Charming who sweeps his princess off her feet. When the relationship starts taking wrong turns she is already well invested in it. But the abuser is already one step ahead of her. He is invested in keeping the relationship as well, but since he has no real relationship skills, he resorts to lies and manipulation to do so. He starts a brainwashing campaign to convince the woman that she can not get along without him. A very effective abuser, will in short order: (more…)

Father of Lies, The Manipulative Personality
2007-10-02 06:06:06
October 2, 2007 Yesterday we spoke about some of the traits of an abusive personality. “batterers display common traits such as controlling, manipulative behavior, a lack of a sense of responsibility for their actions, and an inability to see how their behavior affects others.” In the heady rush of a new relationship, women may ignore or downplay the warning signs of a potential abusive partner. Abusers are manipulators, expert at projecting the image they want to portray. While they have difficulty feeling the emotions of love, they have expertly learned the ways to simulate it. In the beginning of a relationship, the abusive man will lavish attention on the woman, sweeping her off her feet with fairy tale expressions of love. Like most things about this man, none of this is real. He has no clue on how to actually love someone. But he does have needs, infantile ones to be sure, but real and pressing, to be loved himself. However, since his capacity for love is stunted he is una

The Personality That Strikes Out, Indications of a Potentially Violent Individual
2007-10-01 06:22:16
October 1, 2007 A silent epidemic stalks our nation. It affects one in four women during their lifetime. The effects are deviating, resulting in psychological pain, physical injury and, for approximately 1,400 women a year, death. What is this epidemic? Domestic violence. There have been many studies done on batterers, determining among other things that battering is a learned behavior, that 75% of batterers had witnessed this behavior in their own homes where abuse was the norm. Love Shouldn’t Hurt
2007-09-30 10:20:05
September 30, 2007 In America, one of four women have suffered an assault at the hands of their intimate partners at least one time in their life. Domestic Violence is the silent epidemic, because as a nation and a culture we turn our eyes away from the severity of the problem, often blaming the victim for getting herself into trouble. For the next three days, in commemoration of October as Domestic Violence Awareness month, I and twelve of my fellow 451 bloggers are going to post on this issue, bringing different viewpoints and hopefully new awareness to a problem that touches all of us. In Astrology Explored, We’ll Look at these issues Monday, October 1, 2007 –The Personality That Strikes Out, Indications of a Potentially Violent Individual Tuesday, October 2, 2007–The Father of Lies–The Manipulative Individual Wednesday, October 3, 2007–Why She Stays–The Ties That Bind Thursday, October 4, 2007–Kim Bassinger, Alec Baldwin–Whose Zoomin

Payment Habits by Sun Sign
2007-10-16 06:42:02
October 16, 2007 As a press release, APACS, takes light-hearted look at consumer payment habits by star sign. New online guide reveals: -Capricorns are the most financially astute -Scorpios are the sign of the debit card -Taureans are fairly meticulous in their financial management The guide, based on research among 2,000 UK consumers, shows interesting trends that distinguish the payment behaviour of the twelve signs of the zodiac. Aries - financially consistent Ariens are reasonably consistent when it comes to financial management. They do let themselves down when it comes to checking their bank and credit card statements, and should try to check them more thoroughly to spot anything unusual. Taurus - financially thorough Taureans are fairly meticulous in their financial management, demonstrating solid and consistent organisational skills. However, they are let down by their shredding laziness. Gemini - least financially organised star sign Geminis fall below the mark when it com

Halloween Costumes by Sun Sign
2007-10-15 05:45:37
October 15, 2007 There are a ton of sites telling you what you should wear for Halloween . This one is going to use the sun signs to tell you what you are going to end up wearing. Fires signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius men are far too busy to actually pick out a costume. Instead they delegate this task to their significant others, and then complain that the costume is too stupid, silly or dull to wear. They will dig up that silly hard hat that let’s them siphon off beer from two cans on either side of their heads, put on a flannel shirt and some jeans and calls themselves construction workers. Fire sign women will dress up as movie stars, of course. (more…)

Keep an apple pie on hand to deflect the Bull’s attention from any action that deviates from the “rules.” (more…)

Signs of Mental Illness
2007-10-13 06:40:39
October 13, 2007 by Mitchell E. Gibson, M.D. 1998 Llewellyn Publications Heralded on the cover as “An Astrological and Psychiatric Breakthrough”, “Signs of Mental Illness is a scholarly work attempting to lay bare significant markers for mental illness through the birth chart. The hope and the promise of this book is that it would provide some insight of use to practicing astrologers when dealing with client’s issues. While astrologers are not psychologists, nor pretend to be, it would be helpful to have some definitive information on the mental health of an individual we are working with. However, with this book, we are not there yet. (more…)

The Veil of Isis
2007-10-12 08:29:43
October 12, 2007 The mysterious moon in Scorpio draws down a veil of secrecy over this weekend’s proceedings. With most of the planets in feminine signs, sans the Sun in Libra, Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius and Neptune in Aquarius, the atmospheric shift is the hidden life within, the flow of emotions, the tide of here and now. We have been riding so much male energy for this past summer that we’ve been carried along on that wave, only to be beached, like a shell riding swept along in the surf to settle on a far away shore. You can here the roar of the beach as you step in the temple of Isis, an ancient queen for ancient peoples. She sits timeless upon her throne, tranquil and assured. Not a wisp of emotion crosses her face. Since she contains all wisdom, she has no worries about the world. Behind her is a tapestry, the veil of life, worked in delicate threads with the design of pomegranates, a symbol of fertility. But Isis here is yet a virgin goddess, her potency not manife

Rachael Ray, What’s Under the Sunshine Smile?
2007-10-11 11:06:01
October 11, 2007 Rachael Ray and her husband John M. Cusimano can’t seem to escape the rumors of impending divorce, despite public declarations that “they couldn’t be happier”. “I knew [he] was the man to marry when I asked him what he would like for his birthday dinner,” Rachael Ray writes in her cookbook Cooking ‘Round the Clock. “I offered up lobster, steak, fine foods of all nationalities, to which he replied: ‘Can I just have some of your carbonara?’ Whoa! I was right about him…. But was she? Rumors of an affair on his part have soured the public image of them as a happy couple. What’s in the stars for the woman with the sunshine smile and her lawyer/musician husband? (more…)

Not At All Pleased
2007-10-10 07:19:08
October 10, 2007 The socially astute Moon in Libra is not at all pleased with the general crankiness and cattiness of today’s atmosphere. Mars, wrapped in the sign of the crab, is not well placed and not liking it at all. Not helping is the planet of communication, Mercury, in the sign of the skulking detective, Scorpio dredging up secrets, using them as little bombs to further its Plutonian agenda. You’ll notice more people gossiping, more people reveling in the juicy peccadillos of their neighbors. (more…)

“I didn’t see any warning signs or red flags”
2007-10-09 07:00:10
October 9, 2007 The City Attorney of Crandon, Minnesota, where six people yesterday were gunned down by an off duty police officer said about the man “He wrote good reports and was ‘true to his job,’ and “From what I saw of him, I didn’t see any warning signs or red flags .” As a culture we are truly blind to the “red” flags that would signal that an individual is capable of violence, Even more frightening we do not provide support for those individuals that are at risk to commit violence. If one in four women are victims of domestic violence, that means that 25% of our male population are violent individuals. Here a young man, twenty years old, could not tolerate some insults thrown at him when he tried to talk to his former girlfriend. We have no details on the breakup, other that one of insults thrown at him at the party (and we don’t know by who) was that he was a “worthless pig.” What behavior sparked that comment?

Your Saturn Points–If You Care, Don’t Touch Me There
2007-10-08 04:59:52
October 8, 2007 This is the real secret stuff, what your astrologer doesn’t usually discuss with you. Why? Your Saturn points are deepest fears and your best keep secrets, stuff that runs deep to the core of our emotions. We don’t want to discuss these things, the anxieties that make us melt into a puddle of tears. How do know your Saturn points? For this you’ll need a copy of your chart or you’ll have to consult your local astrologer. Go to Astrodienst to get a free copy of your chart.  (more…)
