An instructive afterwork
2007-08-17 02:01:55
That was great yesterday afternoon , after my work I went to Bastille with Livi to have a drink. In Roquette street, where you can find plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants, we decided to go in one, "Objectif Lune", where, when it's the Happy Hour you can have your beer for 3 euros and every single cocktail for only 3.80 euros....pretty interesting huh, and really in outside this precious time drinks aren't so expensive. The staff is pretty cool as well, but I advice to you to come quite early 'cause the place is quickly crowded and small as well, but you have a really good atmosphere inside (even if it's still allowed to smoke inside :s) That's pretty funny 'cause I'm a bit rediscovered this english pub atmosphere (I said a little bit huh) 'cause everybody was relaxed and talked to each other, seat to seat and try to establish connection between them. I advice you to go at this address..really! You will tell me what you think :)

How to write an exciting blog in 15 easy steps!
2007-08-16 09:01:21
1: First you need a very cool username! Your real name doesn't do. Something with "sex" "666" "devil" "tears" "angel" or a lot of XxXxX in it should do.2: Live an exciting life and write about that. If you don't have a great life, make up stuff you COULD have done during the day.3: Update at least once per day. You don't get those all important pageviews if people don't come back every day.4: Provoke your readers. Politics is a great way to do that. If you live in the US; write about why you support Bin Laden. If you live anywhere else; write about why you support Bush. If that fails you can pretend to have homophobia, hate _all_ animals, be a racist or become a nazi. 5: Tell about your sex life. If you don't have one, make one up. The more sex partners, the better. 6: Take and post a lot of pictures, often. Clothes are no good, try to aviod those. If you don't own a camera you should steal other peoples

We went at a boat party, at Assemblee Nationale station. The them of the night was "Girly", I mean it was especially for us, free drinks, gossips areas, a good place to be pamper :)   It's indicate it's every tuesday during this summer so have a look on this ;)On the boat with the "Polish", see ya soon mate!

13th of July
2007-07-15 06:56:00
13th of July in Paris is the synomym of firemen bal and events all around Paris and with Sally, after a break at Bastille's Paradis du Fruit,we decided to watch out a concert here "African Rythms", a free outdoor concert organised by the town hall of Paris and the international organisation of french speaking world. This year, Bastille moved on african rythms! The show was placed under the sign of variety and dialog of cultures through African music. This was a true party inviting to dance and share Parisians of all origins and all generations.List of different artists: Alpha BlondyAmadou et MariamBa CissokoJacob DesvarieuxDaby TouréDobet GnahoréFally IpupaIsmaël LôAmel MathlouthiJet SetJohnny CleggLokua KanzaMory KantéSergeo PoloSouad MassiLes Tambours de BrazzaZao    How was the place!

So amazing...
2007-08-20 08:01:54
To have a real summer...with plenty of things to do...always busy!! You look for this one during months (ok I admit I didn't search a lot...but for people who did huh!) and when you arrived you have nothin' to do during all day long! And you feel so bored...you don't even know why you are employed actually! I feel like that since...the beginning hehe and I have to work where I am until the end of...September! I know some people will say "Why Lindsay don't stop to complain?!" but really who are happy to wake up so early to come at work and being as you are at home...I mean staying in from off your computer...if you are lucky with Internet and my best friend MSN, listening music (if you are allowed) and stuffs which are completly differents as I have to do normally lol So my typical day is : arriving early to leave the office pretty early, drink coffee and eat cakes with colleagues who use to speak about "adult" things (I mean children, ho

What the hell is going on???
2007-08-17 06:04:04
Paris is dead during this period...the weather is crap...and I'm tired...no non-depressed just a bit fed up! Almost the end of the summer and we can count on a hand how many time we saw the sun... I'm writing and the sun which just appeared, hide to me now :s Wanna on an island..........but I'm in an office just thinking about which must be better than today...but as somebody can tell me "Lindsay you are dreaming!!"...Damn! As we used to sing : "Don't worry,be happy!"

Crazy world...
2007-08-21 06:46:56
As usual I have nothin' to do at work (and I don't why I'm here instead of enjoy the sunny parisian weather...anyway) so I decided, as usual to surf on Internet and I saw this funny article about weirdos names. <<After "Metallica" in Sweden, "4real" in New-Zeland...This time, it's in China that happen : thinking this symbol reflects love they give to their child, a chinese couple decided to give "@" as name for their child. The parents claimed the commonly used email symbol, pronounced in English as "at", sounded like the Mandarin for "love him" when spoken by Chinese. But the government's state language commission has taken a dim view of the attempt to break the mould in a country where almost 90% of the country's 1.3 billion people share just 129 surnames.>> Where goes the world....

With my friends Sally, Glad and Mamadou we decided to see the last free show in La Villette Park : Million Dollar BabyThat was a really good flm...that was hard to leave the park before the end ('cause yes I didn't want to miss my train...I love so much parisian suburbs and public transport!!)

For fun!
2007-08-26 19:28:00
Guys  for all of ya who love rnb,hip hop, dancehall, reggae...this party is for ya! Every fridays of summer until the end of September there are parties which called "Chocolate" at Madeleine Plaza club. To avoid to pay your entry you need to go on JSPROTEAM website to know in advance what is the program and arrive in first :)I was there with my mate Glad, but unfortunately there wasn't a lot of people due to the hold-up 2 weeks before :s But I think with the return of holidays there will be more people so don't hesitate to go it's really a good place! When we were the them of the party was black and red, but the next week for girls it will be free all night long if you wear white and have the V.I.P text message!Glad and I

For culture!
2007-08-24 18:50:00
I learnt recently (this week actually huhu) when you are less than 26 yo, in Paris every fridays between 6.00pm and 10.00pm all museums throughout the capital is free.Though we decided with Sally, Livi and her friend Jessy to go to the Louvre and have a look (too huge to see it just in couple of hours!!)I was happy to notice that 'cause to be honest it's a bit sad to have pay for every single cultural thing...I use to compare with London where most of museums are free...EVERY DAY!!But now I know that I think I will go more often, and I finally see this museum with an other eye not as I used to see it as a pretty boring place when I was a kid!!                                                          La Joconda!! University!
2007-08-24 10:29:00
At work (again and always!) as I had nothin' to do (again and always!) I was watch out for informations about my new university : Sorbonne Paris III and I found a forum about it. After registered myself on it and post few worried messages (hahaha mouarff mouarff) about my thoughts about the next year and my apprehensions I was glad to find people to talk with and they succeed to reassure me a bit about it.   I found people around my age who had almost the same "way of life" as me..I think that will be as much interesting to do this year! But to be honest I'm pretty urged to go, to make me a new "crew", not a little network you won't be sure to see again because they live all around the world as I used to meet in London. Now I will be able to have proper friends to hang out with and I will be sure to see more often than my "international" friends who pass and go all the time...

Second project idea...
2007-08-24 10:13:40
My own place for less than 1€ per month...IT'S POSSIBLE and I will explain how I can make it. Yesterday at work, I was bored (as usual you think!!) so I decided to begin my search for a student job the next year..yes I wanna have a bit of independence and freedom  (so good to be a big girl hehe)...anyway the point is not here ! So on plenty of students websites www.jobetudiant.com, www.studyrama.com, www.letudiant.com ....I wasn't satisfied by what I found because they didn't suit with my timetable or just works were rubbish. And I found one was pretty interesting: in exchange of your own flat you help people, pretty interesting. Ok you haven't got your proper money but at least you can live on your own , have your own space (usually a student room but really enough to live). The places are usually in central of Paris and you have to work only 15 hours per week (if you work more you have to be payed!!). The help consists to do light houseworks, to help child

First project idea...
2007-08-24 09:55:06
This concept is a bright idea!! CouchSurfing is a worldwide network for making connections between travelers and the local communities they visit. You only need to register on their website www.couchsurfing.com and you can begin to do your search for your next holiday trip :) Membership in this organization is free (good point!!) and is obtained simply by registering on the website. The core activity of the organization is exchange of accommodation. Acting as a host, a member offers the possibility of accommodation at his or her leisure; it is not required, but obviously it is encouraged. Acting as a surfer (guest), a traveller may search for and request accommodation at his or her destination. Accommodation is entirely consensual between the host and surfer, and the duration, nature, and terms of the surfer's stay are generally worked out in advance to the convenience of both parties. It is also expected to be free; no monetary exchange takes place except under certain circum

A real japanese please....
2007-08-24 09:18:36
KIOTORI...I'm so keen of japanese food usually but when I ate in this restaurant with Livi I was so disappointed by what I tasted :s Really guys, if you really want to eat "good" japanese do not go in KIOTORI's restaurant...I would tested this one (actually it's a chain) because they seem to propose good price for "good meals"...Big mistake! When we arrived we were placed close of an open window (even if the rain was fall down so hard...), it's more like a japanese fast food basically than a proper restaurant: you haven't finished yet your plate and you have another dish on a tiny winy table...I found the menu a bit overpriced and I didn't really appreciated the sushis actually... It was my first and last time in this place seriously!! But if you are not use with japanese food you will not compare as I did but for people who like they will definitely feel the difference! But anyway my lunch with Livi was funny...after all these criti

With my crew (Sally,Willan,me,Gladys et Lamine)

So amazing!
2007-09-15 19:21:00
