Perhentian, paradise on the east coast 2008-02-13 05:24:38 Malaysia is well known for many things but if you ask me, diving is probably the best known. Of course, Sabah, with Sipadan islands is one of the worlds best (and expensive) dive spots. Perhentian is another not too spoiled by tourism islands with plenty of excellent dive spots and beautiful beaches.
Spectacular fish, like this [...]

Kampar, why go there? 2008-02-10 19:44:11 Unknown makes unwanted but it doesn’t always mean uninteresting! Kampar is such a place. The little old town is very typical Malaysian, or should I say very Chinese Malaysian? Small shops, coffee shops, little restaurants, ahhh… if you come in Kampar, you have to try the roti kari chicken. It’s a bread with curry chicken [...]

Malaysia has over 200 golf courses, some good, some not that good. Some golf courses are top notch. Like the Damai Laut Golf [...]
Good Hope Inn in Penang 2008-01-27 06:59:26 Seldom I found a hotel so surprising as the Good Hope Inn in Gurney Drive Penang
. For a hotel so close to the main tourist area, it’s surprisingly easy to reach, close and …. CHEAP! Yes, it’s cheap. Cheaper then many hotels I saw in Malaysia with the same facilities. Plus, it’s well maintained.

Canoeing around Pangkor 2008-04-03 05:37:53 Open air activities, I had enough for the last two weeks when I was on the bicycle to Thailand and back but I didn’t have to think long before I accepted Mr. Goh’s invitation to join a canoing trip around Pangkor island. Retire in style at Penang 2008-04-15 05:20:00 For many years Penang
is a major Malaysian tourist destination. It’s not for nothing. Penang is more then any other place in Malaysia a melting pot of cultures. The mix of culture and modern life are in few cities so explicit available as in Penang. Take for example Gurney Drive with the Burmese [...]
Cycling to and from Krabi 2008-04-16 08:49:23 Isn’t it amazing, Thailand is a great country for cycling but most cyclist seem to prefer the north. The south is “too hot”. Nonsense, if you ask me. The south is fine to cycle, as long as you don’t go further east then Hat Yai and Yala.
Alex from krabi-beach-lover.com invited me to write an article [...] Read more:Cycling
Gurney Drive Penang 2008-04-16 01:49:59 Gurney Drive is probably one of the best examples in Penang

Cycling in Xishuangbanna China 2008-04-18 08:43:02 Talk about a nice area in China
, Xishuangbanna certainly fits the description of another travelers gem. It’s not too much visited because for a lot of people it’s just too far from the main travel areas Dali, Lijiang etc. But it’s worth to visit. Very different from other areas in China, Xishuangbanna offers raw jungle [...] Read more:Cycling

You need an extra 3 days at least to visit the valley. Phonsavan is the administrative center of this part of Laos. Highly recommended.
