The ReturnA lot of unreleased and unheard material has been leaked (as of lately) from Brandy . A lot of these songs are unmastered, unfinished, and underwhelming (in terms of quality). All this music is making Branatics (including myself) yearn for a new Brandy album. I know a new Brandy album is on the horizon (just don't know when). There have been a lot of rumors concerning this album. Every producer who is somebody in the industry has found their name attached to this project. While it is still a mystery as to who will (and is) contributing to the album, Pharrell Williams spoke out awhile back about Brandy's album. He urged us all "to watch out for Brandy's album". I got so excited! Brandy is my favorite singer and The Neptunes are my favorite producers. I always wanted her to work with them and I hope they appear on the new album. My natural assumption would be that Brandy's album will be released at the top of next year. I'm not sure how things are going to play out though.

Old Is The New NewVH1 is slowly unveiling their fall lineup with a slew of reality shows. Salt-N-Pepa are returning to not only music but TV. Their upcoming show, "Salt-N-Pepa Show" will follow the duo as they plan to regroup. We find out what really went down between the women concerning their breakup. Expect some major drama. I always thought their breakup was mutual but we will soon learn the truth. The show premieres Oct. 18th (that's a Thursday) on VH1. Slow It DownThe "A" in August is starting to stand for accident as more celebs are getting involved in them. I read last night (and this morning) that Hulk Hogan's son, Nick Bollea had been involved in a car accident. He along with a friend were speeding down a roadway and crashed into a median. The car was completely totaled. Nick and his friend were pulled out the car by paramedics. They were eventually flown to the hospital where they are listed in critical condition. My well wishes to both. Life Ain't EasyMy friend texted me this morning saying actor Owen Wilson ("The Wedding Crashers", "Shanghi Noon") is in critical condition for an attempted suicide. We haven't heard much from Blu on the music scene for quite awhile. As a matter of fact I reported that she will star in an upcoming stage play. Make The Right Choice As the holiday approaches, more and more albums will be released. Everyone from Celine Dion to Alicia Keys to Lil' Wayne to Madonna are releasing albums this winter. Who's album are you looking forward to? Who do you think will sell the most? There are also rumors that Mary J. Blige and Whitney Houston are coming out at year's end but I doubt it. I see them releasing maybe early 2008. I always thought the beginning of the year is good to release new music. Why? Because there is hardly any competition. January is a slow month for music but why let it be? I'm sure January will come by and we'll be waiting until at least March before anyone major drops. Dropping in January is a good thought though. Hello all! It is very rare that I address the blog like this. The month of September is a very special for me. In exactly 10 days, Cigna's Sights & Views will turn 1 years old! Awww...yes! It is true! I'm excited! It seems like yesterday when I started this blog...well kinda. I have enjoyed bringing you all the news, music, gossip, and my personal commentary (as I like to call it). CSV (the blog nickname) reached its peak (so far) in June/July 2007 with over 14,000 hits. It was truly because of the music I know. What am I gonna do to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of CSV? Take It To BedCould you imagine Chris Brown singing J. Holiday 's, "Bed"? Well it almost happened. Producer Dream ("Bed", Rihanna, "Umbrella") revealed that Chris Brown is mad he didn't get it. I know this album couldn't possibly be coming out this Tuesday. I wonder is that the date of the mixtape she has coming out. I did read "Baddest Chick 2" was being released in February 2008. I also keep reading about a single, "I'm Single Again" featuring Christina Milian. Some people have claimed to have heard it and said it's hot! Still no leak though? Baby Baby BabyAshanti 's new single, "Hey Baby (After The Club)" has finally leaked. The song is produced by Mario Winans (producer, Diddy's "Last Night). The song also sounds very simliar to "Last Night". When youthink about it though, both songs borrow from early 80s Prince. It just goes to show how influential Prince still is these days.
